    After using my 55U7K for more than 15 days, now I can say the picture quality is outstanding. I was surprised how bright it is compared to my old TV and HDR looks fantastic.
    It makes daytime watching pleasant, even when viewed from far angles, the viewing quality does not go down. HD movies look nice as it has a range of vibrant colors and its Mini-LED technology have done magic here. The sound quality is great and does not get noisy even with very high volume. I sometimes play games too and this TV is 4K at 144hz. I did not see any lag or jitter, the variable refresh rate (VRR) has really worked well.

      I know thats the WEIREDST THNG!!! I was lucky that I bought HIsense without over researching it fist . I FOCUSED on real content like Quatntum TV n Stop d FoMO etc. doign side by side. N once i bought it i was watching those--digital Trends…etc seeing him bashing Hisense : this issue, that issue.
      So I was watching my tv Waiting for BAd something to JUMP. Nothing, 3 months in NOTHING. Then 12 months in NEVER anything that truely bothered me me.
      After 12 months my ONLY regret was --why did I NOT get the 65” so i got u8 65” 1 yr later. The same thing again with the oNLINE bashing etc. So i started to realize 90% of online reviews are bullshit. 😅

    Bought the 65 U7K for $699 from BestBuy back in October. I have no complaints really. Then again, we were upgrading from a 11 year old plasma tv so anything was a massive upgrade. The wife and kids love it so that is all that really matters to me. Surprisingly, the speakers on this TV are pretty decent. Probably the most shocking thing to me. For the price, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

      Yea I'm watching people tear these apart and I'm literally upgrading from an 8 year old 55 inch LG that's blue tinted now and a 4 year old 58" Onn television that I got for $200 even on Black Friday... ANYTHING is an upgrade at this point 😅 I'm just splitting hairs

    I just hit the 6 month mark with my 65" U7K and I'm still just as happy as I was when I bought it. I'm still amazed by the deep blacks and rich colors, especially when gaming on my PS5. I even went back to some previously completed games, such as Forbidden West and Ragnarok, in order to experience them in near OLED. Needless to say, I'm still in love with this TV.

    I purchased the U7K and its a good tv overall. However, I ended up returning it due to motion issues with animation. Also, the Dolby IQ feature was completely broken. It would cause large black artifact boxes on content when enabled. Turning that off wasnt an issues. It was mostly the ghosting and motion on anime that was a deal breaker for me. Color banding was also very noticeable. Not sure if its indicative of the model or just the unit I had, though.

    • @ryzenpeak
      @ryzenpeak 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The banding could've just been low bitrate content, hisense struggles smoothing out low bitrates, anything streamed has downsides, but Ive watched seasons 1-5 of rick and morty on my u6g which admittedly is a different model lineup but I've had those banding issues, and on a blu ray through a 4k blu ray player, there's 0 banding whatsoever. And in gaming I've never seen banding on this TV, the V series vizio i had on the other hand had awful banding even on native content. QLED is also just a whole different word compared to normal LCDs. Also if your not using the built in OS for your content and using a shield or something of the sort, if you were on the 2.1 inputs it could've been causing that it was a thing in the past.

      I just got mine yesterday in 85 inches and I'm not impressed as soon as I turn it on I noticed that the menu screen is kind of blurry almost like a soft affect turn sharpness all the way up and other options but still can't get rid of the softness effect. Also I see people say how bright the TV is for my son is I don't only have to turn the brightness up to 30% and it's good enough for me, the Hisense I have to turn it to 50 or higher maybe I just got a messed up one.

I think the the TLC is thinner but something as stupid as having feet vs pedestal and a sound bar sitting flat on a TV stand vs slightly raised on the pedestal might make my decision lol.... See what black Fri brings between the 2! Have a decent sound bar to match you recommend?... in the upper budget mid range like these TV's?

    • @CheapRedBoy
      @CheapRedBoy 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Q7 55-inch owner here. I'm not impressed with sports or cable TV. The picture is soft. When I stream 4k content in HDR10, Dolby Vision, or play Xbox or PS4, the image is sharp and detailed but I don't think its upscaling of lower resolution content is great. A relative has a 55 inch Sony X80L (which is a lower tier than Q7) and the cable looks much sharper and clearer for sports and motion in general. The 1080p being upscaled to 4k on her TV is much better. This is one of the TCL Q7 weak point. Built-in speakers aren't great. I don't like the way Game Master is implemented. It has some weird quirks when using as PC monitor for gaming. It has a PC mode that basically disables most of the picture settings (no local dimming, freesync). You have to put it into Game Mode by turning on Game Master to activate freesync and auto low latency mode but this also prevents HDR in games from working correctly. There is also some screen flicker while PC gaming that I troubleshooted being the Freesync. On some games on menu screens, the fps fluctuates 60-65 HZ. This is when it flickers very faintly. But when you're in game (MW3, GTA5), with uncapped frame-rate then it doesn't flicker. Either turning off Freesync or vsyncing the game solves the flicker issue. Ideally, I'd like to plug in my PC with 120 Hz HDMI cable and everything work at the same time like freesync, local dimming, auto low-latency mode, HDR but it doesn't. It can do 144HZ gaming but only at 8-bit 4:4:4 full RGB. 10-bit 4:4:4 full RGB drops it to 120Hz. All this said, I got it for $499 and wish I had the u7k to compare but I can't have everything for $499. Lol.

    • @CheapRedBoy
      @CheapRedBoy 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just an update. I returned the Q7. I bought the 55" Hisense U8K. I've had the U8K for a week but I'll be returning it. It's viewing angle is horrible. The picture washes out when you barely go off center. It's upscaling is much better than Q7. Watching TH-cam vids, Netflix, ESPN app, FoxSports app, Pac-12 app in 1080p appear much better on U8K. The U8K has a couple dead pixels (even if it didn't, I'd still return it), screen vignetting in all four corners, bad grey screen uniformity (you can really notice it when local dimming isn't activated to hide it). Gaming picture quality on the Q7 is much better due to the better viewing angle. Playing Gears of War 5, much of the game is in dark scenes and blacks don't look as black on the U8K. The Q7's better local dimming (contrast), better screen uniformity with full grey and black screen, not noticeable screen vignetting in the corners makes the Q7 overall better for my main usage which is gaming on console and PC. I'll be buying the Q7 again as there's really nothing else under $700 with similar features to these tv's.

    • @BrownBagga
      @BrownBagga 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CheapRedBoy So what you're saying is if your main viewing will be Sports and TH-cam TV with the occasional gaming and movies then go for the Sony.

    • @CheapRedBoy
      @CheapRedBoy 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BrownBagga Yes, for your usage. I've come to find out that screen size matters too. I've had both the 55-inch Q7 and U8K. I again bought the Q7 as its better for PC gaming. TCL also put out a firmware update that seemed to fix some of the gaming issues with freesync, so I'm happy with it as I got it for $499. My uncle got the 65-inch U8K and that TV is much better than the 55-inch U8K I had. I found out that the 55-inch version of the U8K cuts the dimming zones almost by half. Also his TV is much brighter and pops more with HDR content. So I would recommend at least a 65-inch of whatever TV you go with as I think some features are cut when you go with a smaller screen size. If its in your budget, I'd go with 65 inch U8K or Sony X90L for sports and content you know will be upscaled. The Sony X90L has 120 Hz panel and local dimming where as the X80 model is 60 Hz without local dimming. Brightness matters when watching HDR content, I'd look for at least a 1000 nits rating. Also make sure it has HDMI 2.1 if you want to game with ps5 or xbox series x at 120 Hz. If you watch HDR content, I'd make sure it supports Dolby Vision also. Some TV brands like Samsung and LG don't' support Dolby Vision on lower end models.

    • @CheapRedBoy
      @CheapRedBoy 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've used both 55" TCL Q7 and Hisense U8K and color banding is more noticeable on U8K. U8K also suffers from macro-blocking on large same color backgrounds, like a scene in the dark, you can see the dancing pixelation. Turning on smooth gradient to low (medium, high visually isn't any different than low) reduces it but doesn't get rid of it. These issues on the Q7 aren't nearly as bad.

    This review was more a comparison to the TCL Q7, rather than a actual review.
    Why would the Q7 be better for gaming when the U7K data shows its better in all aspects in input lag over the Q7 .
    Q7 has 160 dimming zones and the U7k 384, 65" examples.
    You give current price of the U7K then say buy the Q7. U7k was $749 and the q7 $799 and you get less for your money.
    The Q7 has problems with response times in refresh rate because of the VRR bad for gamers.
    The Q7 When used with Nvidea cards this tv has 120hz problems and it also cant have chroma 4:4:4 and game mode enabled same time.

Which means it could OTA 4K but those channel may get scrambled. However, the standard ATSC channels the nextgen turner brings in more of them stronger. Color should be better Red needs adjusted down. Not liking the gaming but I am working on it. you can get a 120 HZ not 144 HZ in gaming. I should have never hooked the TV up to the internet. Google TV works but you are going to get a buttload of commercials would not get. Better to use your Roku, Fire, Apple, or google box. For me the ATSC 3.0 tuner and the 4k with 2 60 hz and 2 120 hz HDMI 2.1 ports and 1 USB 2.0 +1 USB 3.0 ports makes it worth the under $500 price.+ It has built in wifi to which you are better off not to use but to only maybe upgrade it.

Please go see this tv at a store before you buy. This tv is something I would have thought was $100-300 on Black Friday as the entire tv besides being mediocre at best is a non stop spam ads hassle you product. The remote is nice, that’s it.
