Yea that 06 charger did not have cam phasers to clean. But they did have a cam and crank sensor..let me know if them scan tools have a cam and crank relearn feature.

When battery power lost and capacitors are drain, the system have no choice but to relearn once restarted,. But this depend on how new the car is and what bus network you dealing with.

Gonna pay off my 2010 dodge ram 1500 5.7 and get a 2019 Ford f250 6.2 or 6.7 depending if I can get it for a good price Had to replace my oil pump, gasket, harmonic balancer bc at one time slowing down lost oil pressure, lost power steering and power. Then did again when slowing down to make a left turn, so did an engine oil flush and still did it the next day going to work making a left turn Hasn't done it since, even replaced that oil pressure sensor
I have a 2011 grand Cherokee 3.6l. every once in awhile on startup i have a rattle, it doesn't last but a couple seconds and is gone. How can i figure out which phaser it is without teardown? I feel sense its sporadic, i may not be able to verify with teardown. I was trying to monitor cam phase spec vs actual and it was correct. I have run the phaser cleaning using my modis. Also i have another sporadic issue that i think is related. Only 3 times in a year when i start it, it will shake and misfire like crazy, cel flashing, no codes, i cycle the key a few times and eventually it will stop. It did it again this past weekend and only fault was p0456 very small evap leak. I checked the purge valve and it wasn't leaking, so i was thinking it maybe intermittently leaking. I went ahead and put a new purge valve on. Already replaced the esim and gas cap a year ago. Let me know if you have any ideas or recommendations. Thanks.
Hey bud that data can be view using a real good dealer like scan tool. But keep in mind noise from a phaser not detected. Usually a cam sensor code would be the giveaway to which phaser acting up. Was there any codes relating to traction control light or cam sensor? Also are you subscribed to the channel?

Right now i only have a snapon modis and my shop has an autel maxisys for all non vw/audi cars. I haven't seen any cam sensor faults or anything in abs or any traction control lights. What abs faults would be key? Or it will just throw abs faults with the cam faults?

For instance, C121C TORQUE REQUEST SIGNAL DENIED can lead you to a bank 1 intake cam phaser depending on the data that you read. Well, if all else fail, just do all 4 cam phasers. If its over 100K miles, thats recommended anyways.
I just changed the cam and lifters in my 2012 Durango and got 2 new codes p000b and p0016. I’ve changed the vvt solenoid and they came right back.oil level is good brand new royal purple. I’m at a loss. Can you please help me.?

I had to swap bank 1 intake camshaft and bank 2 exhaust camshaft. I made sure to not let anything magnetic near the cams! I checked all electrical plugs which are in good shape.

I just finished changing all cams,lifters,rockers. Now when it started up it was smooth running for a lil bit, then it rattled like a diesel and engine shut off. Happened about 3 more times and it took longer and longer to shut off. Then finally it ran up to normal temperature and I reved the engine to 5k rpm. I thought great it works good. About half hour later, I restarted and then again it shuts off. So is it the phasers or does it need to be relearned?
@Online Mechanic Tips Yes subscribed...i rechecked the timing and it was off somehow..maybe bc i turned the engine clockwise i don't know. But after being corrected and turning it counterclockwise several times and rechecked, it was good. It started and ran good and no rattling noise. But it wouldn't downshift, except when stopped. Ran a code check it said P0369, P000A, P000B. I swapped the cam phaser solenoids with bank 2 and changed cam sensor. No difference. The cam phasers doesn't moved at all so i assumed it was ok. So should i change them?
Your cams are upside down, remove all cams and make sure when reinstalling, your dots line up with the cam phasers. We get this often from amatuer mechanics.
@@FactsMattersUSA There are right side up after removing the valve covers. I found #3 intake rocker arm off sitting in between int and ex rockers. Since I'm doing it again I'm installing 2 new cam phasers but the chain tensioner won't move at all. Last time I didn't even use the tool, it was so easy. Just rotate the ex cam to get it close then intake cam to go right on. So I'm wondering if I broke the tensioner or the guide. I would hate to remove the timing cover 😒.
@@Sam-656Glad you found the problem. As far as chain tension, It depends on which bank you're working on, if bank1 you need to use the L hook tool first, insert it in slot, liftup to release the tension, then insert slide tool to free the chain. Bank2 does not require the L pull tool.

Just a quick question. When you got to the Cam and Crank relearn it said "Engine cannot be running" yet it sounded as though you started the engine and had it running during the relearn process. Would this be why it said complete so quickly and didn't go across the board as you were accustomed? So would that give a false reading of being complete?

could this be why my 2012 chrysler 300 runs with low performance late throttle .... i have changed all rocker lifters even the throttle and new cam phasers along with new camshaft sensor, a new o2 sensor...after all that my engine now sounds with a tapping sound after it warms up , at this point think it as skipped a tooth in timing chain or piston clap or bearings... man this is work

!!!! PLEAS HELP!!!! I have 2015 dodge grand caravan sxt 3.6 I replaced the camshaft, rocker arms, and lifters from mopar. After replacing, j had the code p0349, p0394. The camshaft position sensor couldn't reed the camshaft. We thought that the problem was camshaft, and we replaced a new one again, and the same problem. I checked everything, timing is at time, and the phaser is working apparently correctly. The camshaft position sensor is working, and the wiring has no problem . I relearn the camshaft and have still this code coming up p0390, p0349. The car is running fine, no other symptoms. . Please, if someone had the same problem and know the solution, please let me know. Thanks
Hey how are you ? I recently changed the rocker arms on my 2012 charger 3.6 and when installed back the check engine light came up and with no traction and it’s stuck on limp mode with the code p0349. I was wondering what went wrong ? I replaced the sensor but that didn’t work. Thanks in advance.

When it comes to the 3.6, I don’t even waste my time with other TH-camr mechanics. I watch them to learn what not to do. Love your sped up videos as I like getting to the point, end of story. My dealer said the ticking sound was nothing and so did the so called expert mechanics by me so I said whatever. Well 4 years later I get all these codes and MTFKER’s screwed me. Car now has 180k so extended warranty is over but I’m bad mouthing these mechanics all over social media. Of If I can save one person the trouble or cost due to Fugazi mechanics, even DEALERSHIP’s I’m gonna do it. Freehold NJ Dodge, YOU SUCK. Seraphins on 522, YOU SUCK😂😂😂. Ok I’m good as my Brooklyn attitude wants me to drive the car through the showroom window, but the calm cool me just gonna take car of business and do a leak down test as I don’t want to waste my time or money . P0394 code already replaced both phasers , checked the loose bolts and still getting code , even replaced the cam sensors

I think that's what I'm gonna replace or at least try to hard reset PCM by disconnecting battery

Hey how are you ? I recently changed the rocker arms on my 2012 charger 3.6 and when installed back the check engine light came up and with no traction and it’s stuck on limp mode with the code p0349. I was wondering what went wrong ? I replaced the sensor but that didn’t work. Thanks in advance.

@@OnlineMechanicTips my mechanic had used a magnetic stick to take out a screw that fell , do you think that cause the p0349 code ? Leading to limp mode. Will I have to replace something specific ?
@@joseabzun4269 The tone wheels are read by the cam sensor, theres a chance its ruin now. Also cam phaser will cause this

When it comes to the 3.6, I don’t even waste my time with other TH-camr mechanics. I watch them to learn what not to do. Love your sped up videos as I like getting to the point, end of story. My dealer said the ticking sound was nothing and so did the so called expert mechanics by me so I said whatever. Well 4 years later I get all these codes and MTFKER’s screwed me. Car now has 180k so extended warranty is over but I’m bad mouthing these mechanics all over social media. Of If I can save one person the trouble or cost due to Fugazi mechanics, even DEALERSHIP’s I’m gonna do it. Freehold NJ Dodge, YOU SUCK. Seraphins on 522, YOU SUCK😂😂😂. Ok I’m good as my Brooklyn attitude wants me to drive the car through the showroom window, but the calm cool me just gonna take car of business and do a leak down test as I don’t want to waste my time or money . Thanks again and no mechanics were harmed in this video 😂😂😂😂

I'm not sure what you was talking about. TH-cam content creators make videos based on the way they see it. I have no idea of the viewer skill level. But it's real simple to subscribe and ask the creator what exactly you have a problem with.

Can you help me I’ve rebuilt numerous engines and never had one give me this many fits. Timing marks are dead nuts perfect from the crank to the idler gear all the way up to the cam phasers and this 2014 Chrysler 200. Is Giving me these codes and runs really rough. P0123
