Stumble upon your videos looking for thing to do in thailand for when I visit this summer. And I have to say I’m a fan now!! Viewing all your videos. You guys are so bubbly and the videos are great! Good luck on your guys yt journey.
Talking about your cat i must mention about ours. Since young we have looked after cats but then when we moved away as we grew up we had to give away those cats. But in 2000 when my daughter was studying at University in New Zealand this stray kitten would visit the cottage where she lived. She would begin feeding it and gradually the cat began going into her room till she made the room her home. When we used to visit our daughter that cat (later named Garfield) would literally hide from us and slink out of her room. It like took forever to let her get used to us. She was an abused kitten and abandoned by her mother to fend for herself. When my daughter graduated in 2004, she didn't have the heart to abandon her and so we went through all the legal formalities to bring Garfield to Dubai where we lived and worked. We migrated in 2009 so Garfield lived with my daughter in Dubai. When my daughter migrated to Dubai she brought Garfield with her. The vets had advised her that Garfield would not stand the journey coz of her age but we couldn't follow their advice to put her to sleep. So Garfield landed in Canada. But said to say in October 2019 she died away of old age. She had turned quite deaf too by then. If ever there was an example of 'unconditional love' it was Garfield. But that is too long a story to go into on your channel

As a Canadian this discussion of lifestyle and quality of life really resonated with me. My life in Canada is very insular. I go days without seeing people in person (I work at home) and it's a very lonely social scene here in Vancouver. People just don't get together to hang out or do things. They even have an expression: The BC Bail, where people will just ghost invitations and events at the last minute. So funny. Much different than my hometown of Edmonton. When I'm in Thailand I have an immensely improved quality of life. Better food, more affordable everything, and very friendly and diverse people. These days my best friends are in Thailand! My life in Canada is only for my son and for work, but I don't mind it at all. Great video!
Wow I've never heard of the BC Bail.. that's funny but also so sad! We needed a change and came to Thailand 5 years ago and it's really become home for us now. We're happy to be sharing more of Thailand with you and others... hope you'll come for a visit soon :)

I've been heavily encouraged to get back to Phuket, and to visit Koh Samui for the first time. I was inspired to check out the dive shop you guys got your certification from, so I may include that as a feature of the next trip. This is all leading up to a retirement visa 🙏

Nice to see my province mate on TH-cam, eh? I was born and raised in Surrey, BC went to UBC for my Engineering degree, where I met my Filipino wife. We moved south of the border to take graduate studies and eventually settled in NY, though plan to go back to BC upon retirement. Power on!

We met on the Gold Coast, at Griffith University! It was hard to study when the beach was so near by 😅
@@FloraandNote Griffith University is huge now. It has multiplied in size considerably, and has a whole suburb of apartments nearby that was the athlete village during the 2018 commonwealth games. There is also a world class university hospital there.
