Lol. That's not larvae. Those come from palm trees and best source of protein. In my language they're called sombe. Very expensive.

We absolutely agree, Domenico! We found many food vendors in this village have been perfecting their recipe and craft for over 20 years, like the fresh coconut pancake lady. They make these food markets so interesting and worthwhile to visit :)

I have never heard/seen ice cream in breads. As soon as I saw that, I ran down to the living room to asks about it to my wife (she is Thai). Next time I am in Thailand, I will definitely try it. You guys make awesome and relaxing content. Love it! I also watch Lily's channel! I "knew" her before I came across your videos.
Yes, it's a must try! Some places even put sticky rice in the sandwich... or they mix coconut ice cream with pandan ice cream. So many varieties! Thanks so much for watching :) We also love Lilly's channel!

One of the best local markets we've been to for sure.
I just found your lovely channel and subscribed. I know this region of Thailand very well as I tend to travel to locations where there are very few if any foreigners. I speak Thai so am able to wander anywhere on my own. The best Thai food I have had tends to be not in any of the areas foreigners visit. The best meal I ever had was Tom Yum Moo at a market for twenty baht.
That's amazing! Speaking the language really helps to connect more with the culture and the locals :) Keep exploring! We just subscribed to your channel too!
@@FloraandNote I wish more expats and long-term visitors would make an effort to learn the language at least the basics. There would be far fewer misunderstandings and overall problems. Much less stress than always walking around in circles mad because you are always lost without other foreigners around. Thank you so much for subscribing. Flora, you are not Thai but from your eyes, I would guess you are from the Philippines or Japanese.
Thais are so friendly and they appreciate the effort foreigners make to try to speak the language. I’m also learning Thai and it’s a fun language to learn. I’m actually Chinese from Hong Kong :)

Hi Bud! Yes, we're still based in Samui. What we know is that anyone coming to Surat Thani (where Samui is located) from Red Zones have to do the mandatory 14 days quarantine - so that would include BKK, Phuket and I'm not sure where else at the moment.

Hi, Lang Suan is my hometown and welcome you alls ^^ Well I recommend you to go toKlong Prao Waterfal (15 km from Lang Suan Town), Pitak island (1 km from the coast where we can walk through the clear water to get there), and I highly recommend you to visit a hidden white sand beach with clear water, best beach in Lang Suan just few minutes walk from the Pitak Island Pier, I mean this beach is in the land.... please don's miss any of them ^^
