I work 2 mins up the street if u go on google maps there’s a pond behind the Dunkin and bank where the snakehead were originally first released, if you walk right behind it u get to a part of the river, but just further down
Thank you so much man I’ve been looking for spots to catch snake head been trying to catch one for two weeks with no luck at the belle grove ponds I’ll try that out
Lived in Maryland my whole life and my son talked me into starting a TH-cam journey. Literally have no friends and not sure why people like my videos but they seem to like them. Just came across this video looking for new spots to target snakehead. Never caught one before and would love to try it out.
Awesome fish! I would love to grab that jig head/spinner--do you remember the brand or where you bought it? Currently throwing a frog followed by a chatterbait and/or a #4 Mepps in most scenarios. Would like add another option. Still haven't caught my first snakehead, though I've hooked (and lost) two this year. Thanks!
Hey man yeah I remember what I was using! The spinner was a bladed spinnerbait that I took the skirt off of. I believe the brand is BOOYAH Blade Spinnerbait with a 1/2 ounce head. The soft plastic paddletail was a 6-inch Bass Pro Shops Speed Shad. I like the pearl and baby bass colors. Hope you catch one soon!
Just curious, was this a catch and release, or catch and dispatch? I've heard because its an invasive species catch and dispatch, but I've ,also heard they've been here long enough, catch & release. What's the rule?

Always have fun filming outdoor adventures. Hopefully you can catch your first snakehead soon!
Thought you'd be more excited, lol.
Congrats, NICE fish!
I was hype!!
I know I’m late to the party but congrats on that!!! I felt the excitement second hand watching you get hyped up! 😭 planning on going here soon 100%
Thank you! Definitely one of my favorite catches!
That's a damn nice fish - congrats ! !
Whenever I go there it's dead. Glad you got something.
You should do a catch and cook and get your numbers up, for your channel. For snake heads are good to eat.
Thanks for the idea. I am trying to do more catch and cooks!
I caught a nice smallmouth there and was very surprise to get one this far down river
That injury is 100% from an arrow. Where I fish almost every 30”+ has a scar from being snagged, shot or speared.
I know this spot! I live nearby there but I didnt even know there was fish in that spot!

How did you get down from the bridge?
What did you do with the fish? Filet and deep fry??
Route 3???? Bridge? You mean 301? I live not far from there in Calvert but cant put a finger on where you are?
301 turns into route 3 but yes it’s the same highway. Just pull off and fish!
@@watersedgetv AWESOME, down Gambrills way then.
@@mikejordan6036 exactly!

What's the recommended line wgt?
Super dumb question bro. Familiar with all of southern MD. I can't for the life of me picture this location. Can you narrow it down?
Yeah man! This is the upper Patuxent where it crosses Route 3 near Crofton.
is this just south of route 450???
Yes it is. @@williamdurner2235
Nice fish
How did you get down there?
You have to park on the side of the highway and walk down the embankment
Nice man!!!
wher do you park
Hi there
Please give the address of Dunkin or Bank so I can get that pond for fishing
Thanks very much
I’m tryna fish with you my boy I’m Maryland also
Let me know if ya ever find out. When I Google Dunkin for that area closest it gives me is laurel.
I never knew carp had that effect on other fish. Maybe some of them need to be turned into catfish or crab bait.
Watch out for the homeless down there. They don't play!
Been going there my whole life never seen one homeless person or no one even bothered me in a bad way. You sure you know where he’s at?
You get a little too excited Bud, and the way you constantly repeat yourself. Nice fish.
Thanks! We do weird things when we’re excited 🤷🏻♂️
@@watersedgetv LOLOLOLOLO Cant remember the last time I was that excited. Did you take Ridalin???
@@mikejordan6036Sounds like you need to get out more and do something that excites you.
