As per normal we hit some issues along the way and I show how to correct them. Thanks for watching and please share with your friends!

I rarely ever comment, but I wanted to tell you how much I love your commentary. I have watched other woodturners, but after watching you, I always come back to rewatch your videos because you explain what went wrong, how it didn't turn out to your vision, and how you problem solve. As an artist, I find it encouraging. Let's be real, it's not often that projects happen without incident. Painting, charcoal portraits, whatever the project, there's always something that happens. I find you inspiring. Thank you for sharing both the ups and downs of your process. Please don't ever stop.

Okay, this is gonna be a longer comment... sorry (kinda). First, you share your "failures", and self-stated pain, anguish and disappointment. I LOVE that. You keep it real and let the rest of us beginners know that if it happens, its okay and fixable (for the most part). Next, You EXPLAIN the process and give the whys behind it all. THANK YOU. Not everything is perfect, nor should it be. The length of the videos is perfect, because it shows the whole process and that, to me, is wildly interesting. I also dig that your explain about temperatures, since I'm in Colorado, it gets cold here, as it does in Canada. Lastly, final results?? STUNNING. Stunning, stunning, stunning. Did I mention it is STUNNING?? Its gorgeous. Side note, my nickname that an old friend gave me a while back is Kintsugi, because I've been through A LOT in life and I keep fixing myself into a better person, but keeping that perfectly imperfect. So, there you go. Thanks, Jim. Take care and Much Love from Colorado Springs!

Always show the "not what I intended" and how you deal with it. Nothing more frustrating for someone new or learning than only showing the perfect stuff. Tends to inspire the I can't attitude when everybody else seems to make it perfect every time.

Don’t stress too much on the analytics, TH-cam viewers are fickle. One week they’ll love something, next week hate it. 😅 I love your videos that show your process through learning new techniques, mistakes and all. I also love your voice overs. Personally, I’m not a fan of the sounds of just the turning because it’s so high pitched and sensory issues protest 😬 but, that’s just me. 🤗 I’m so excited to see your new shop I can hardly wait! ❤

Beautiful pot. You do fantastic work. I always enjoy your videos and learn something. I am not a woodturner, but many of the things you do can be applied to even the simple woodworking that I do. I appreciate your thoughts on any problems and solutions. I laughed when you said pain and suffering. I actually stop working on a project yesterday due to frustration because of a project not going how I wanted it. I was getting tired also and think we all should be careful at that point in our work. My project turned out great today, so all is well. Thanks for the fun and information. Keep them coming. This is just an awesome piece you just finished.

I've said it before, but I'll reiterate that I think that the hollow forms are where you seem to just let yourself have fun and get really creative. Such a beautiful piece! The color difference between the bottom and the collar wood is so dynamic and adds so much beauty and character.
When you first started to rough out the shape, the flat plane right below the collar was reminiscent of a Greek amphora and I got all excited. I would love to see that shape done at some point!
Frankly, I don't mind the longer videos as they let us see the full process. I like seeing the mistakes and fixes, how you go about the whole thing. But I also really appreciate seeing the creative process others go through when they make a thing.
All in all, another amazing creation ❤️

You are a teacher doing teaching. We are learners doing learning. And you are learning by teaching. Just the simple fact that you teach how... no, why... to reason before crashing and trashing a challenging issue, with self-patience and a true desire to find a solution is inspiring.

I got a chuckle from you not liking how it was uneven between the wood and the shavings and thought to myself OCD much?😂😂😂 but know that I love watching a master at his craft! All of your videos have shown beautiful objects! Thank you for sharing your works with us!

I would say that you made the most out of a "re-design opportunity", The Vase turned out beautifully. Love it.

Designer epoxy. I think your choice of color really gave the piece an aged look that blends so well with the spalting in the maple. Good fix/redo. 👍🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Spalted Maple is one of my favorite woods that you turn. Using the resin shavings is so clever and thrifty as well. Waste not, want not!

Wanna throw my name in the hat for the giveaway. I don't do woodwork, but I've been watching your videos for a long time, I've seen many of them multiple times. I love that you talk, explain things, and aren't afraid to show the things that don't always go right. It's true that if you build it they will come. ❤ your channel and overall demeanor.

That wood is SOOO very pretty!! The resin shavings look like clouds, so pretty!! I also love the spot near the top where it turned out transparent.

I would agree that we don’t learn unless we see ‘issues’ with turnings. It did turn out to be amazing. 😊

From my brain to yours...I was so pleased you fixed that line. If that had been my project the line difference would have driven me bat sh*t crazy! I also just adored the shape! It's something different and I loved it!! I also am glad you show your mistakes as well. You should! No none is perfect and it's important to see how different people handle different situations. Beautiful beautiful piece Jim. Something you should really be proudful of!!! Thanks for another great video. I learn so very much from you! Designer Epoxy

New t-shirt design coming in an alternative future from Sprague Woodturning: "My therapist said I have adhesion issues since resin came into my life." Thank you, Jim, for taking us through the entire process in creating this beautiful hollow form. It made me appreciate the end product even more!
