As a pastel and charcoal portrait artist I never, never thought resin or epoxy could make a fine art piece. Boy, did you make me change my mind. This piece is so fine! lol

I rarely ever comment, but I wanted to tell you how much I love your commentary. I have watched other woodturners, but after watching you, I always come back to rewatch your videos because you explain what went wrong, how it didn't turn out to your vision, and how you problem solve. As an artist, I find it encouraging. Let's be real, it's not often that projects happen without incident. Painting, charcoal portraits, whatever the project, there's always something that happens. I find you inspiring. Thank you for sharing both the ups and downs of your process. Please don't ever stop.

Always show the "not what I intended" and how you deal with it. Nothing more frustrating for someone new or learning than only showing the perfect stuff. Tends to inspire the I can't attitude when everybody else seems to make it perfect every time.

As a machinist who's medium is almost always metal/steel, your internal work is very impressive. Anytime while boring you lose rigidity on your tooling immediately. Your steady rest and laser are very intriguing. Nice work.

I don't get to do nearly as much woodworking as I want, but even as primarily a knitter and household DIY person, the creative process of rescuing a didn't-turn-out piece is super valuable and relatable for me.

Okay, this is gonna be a longer comment... sorry (kinda). First, you share your "failures", and self-stated pain, anguish and disappointment. I LOVE that. You keep it real and let the rest of us beginners know that if it happens, its okay and fixable (for the most part). Next, You EXPLAIN the process and give the whys behind it all. THANK YOU. Not everything is perfect, nor should it be. The length of the videos is perfect, because it shows the whole process and that, to me, is wildly interesting. I also dig that your explain about temperatures, since I'm in Colorado, it gets cold here, as it does in Canada. Lastly, final results?? STUNNING. Stunning, stunning, stunning. Did I mention it is STUNNING?? Its gorgeous. Side note, my nickname that an old friend gave me a while back is Kintsugi, because I've been through A LOT in life and I keep fixing myself into a better person, but keeping that perfectly imperfect. So, there you go. Thanks, Jim. Take care and Much Love from Colorado Springs!

I've said it before, but I'll reiterate that I think that the hollow forms are where you seem to just let yourself have fun and get really creative. Such a beautiful piece! The color difference between the bottom and the collar wood is so dynamic and adds so much beauty and character.
When you first started to rough out the shape, the flat plane right below the collar was reminiscent of a Greek amphora and I got all excited. I would love to see that shape done at some point!
Frankly, I don't mind the longer videos as they let us see the full process. I like seeing the mistakes and fixes, how you go about the whole thing. But I also really appreciate seeing the creative process others go through when they make a thing.
All in all, another amazing creation ❤️

I appreciate your thoughts on any problems and solutions. I laughed when you said pain and suffering. Beautiful the lighted pictures at the end really showcase the piece. Wonderful as usual.

I got a chuckle from you not liking how it was uneven between the wood and the shavings and thought to myself OCD much?😂😂😂 but know that I love watching a master at his craft! All of your videos have shown beautiful objects! Thank you for sharing your works with us!

I think you may be right about the OCD. Ha ha! Thanks!
