Nice job on the interior update and keeping a small patch of the original materials and colours is brilliant. A surf board mounted to the exterior side wouldn't look out of place.
This is one of the best thought out RVs ever built. You two did a fantastic job on it. Another guy on You tube replaced the big Olds engine with a Diesel out of a Hum Vee and expects to get around 20 MPG on the Highway. That would be nice. Defiantly big enough for 2 people. Especially if you get a nice awning and have it set up to spend a lot of time outside on the good days. I wish I was that lucky. God bless you on your journeys.
Went to Joseph Joseph and got the silverware tray in three minutes! For my 1976 GMC. And then I went to eBay to get a brand-new Glacier Bay 883 432 faucet. Lucid mattress next!
My husband and I, just got a gmc motorhome gave to us! We are so excited to strip it down an get started on the rebuild. You gave me such great insight. You've done a beautiful job. I hope we can do half as good as you have done!
Can be a tricky thing. If ever pull trigger on that, do due diligence. Sadly, lotta places have weird zoning laws about not, even on your own land, if has wheels.
@@stevensaxon8888 It's as open ended as you could imagine price wise, $1000 - $30,000 and up. You can look on RV trader or follow GMC sites on Facebook.
Thanks for the walk through. Very nice. I have a 1978 GMC 26 Foot almost just like yours. I've put a lot into it, but need to sell. If you know someone that would like to have one please leave me a comment. I will comment back giving details. Thank you again for the walk through.

If you look @ at other GMC MHs, they don't seem so cramped. (Though, relative/in eye of beholder, etc.) The GMCs are considered roomier feeling, & actually, as no drive train/a lower floor -hence, center of gravity. awesome video. love the restoration. where did u get your key less entry lock i like that a lot. got the seat belts installed on my 74. im still a ways away from being done. i like the fridge cork as well great use of the space for like pics or post cards of your travels. great video
I'm glad you were able to use the seatbelts! We ordered the keyless entry off ebay - I will look to see if I can find the specific name. It's certainly a process, but worth the time. Thank you for watching and commenting!
We chose the Airhead because it has a 'real' toilet seat, you don't have to remove cover from solids tank to remove urine container and there is a seal on the seat and lid. It really is an investment but no black tank and the smell of soil instead of 'the other' is worth saving for!
There it is in all it's glory - love your GMC!! You have done an amazing job :-) Are the cellular blinds you got specific for RVs? I'm looking for some for our remodel and I love the look of yours. BTW, congrats on 35 years!

Beautiful machine. The old GMC Motorhomes were the best looking RV I ever saw. Gorgeous machines.

Looks beautiful really ,really nice ,hope you have some good vacations in it
Awesome job on fixing it up ! Those GMC motor homes where awesome! Definitely unique! 1978 was the last yr for them .
Great video. Nice restoration. Fun build I am sure. Some great ideas as I look for a GMC motorhome to buy and restore
Beautiful looking RV. This is my idea of what a motorhome should be.
exatly, but somehow those motorhomes have vanished, so sad

So sweet of you, thank you! We like it too!
You did an incredible job. You could even add one of those really thin fireplaces in front of the pop-up TV. It looks so comfortable too.
I’m glad to help you guys with the tv love ❤️ you guys for ever

Even better than the Oscar Myer Wienner mobile?
