About QP... the fun thing is a lot of people counter-pick if they lose the first fight. They do not need to be spawn camped lol
i like to play widow in qp just because she’s a fun hero and it never fails that i get a sombra swap. every. single. game.
if it’s not sombra, i just get focused out by the whole team, even if im 2-7 and my tank and dps are rolling them
@GiveMeTheRice it is fun to play her in qp for sure. I find in comp any enemy widows immediately swap to a sombra if getting bullied. It's crazy how many do.

I am diagnosed with depression. I was having a mental breakdown the other day and couldn’t stop crying so I decided to play quickplay a bit. I was hoping it would help me get rid of bad thoughts.
I’m a GM player so I usually get into GM/t500 lobbies in quickplay. However, that day I was crying my eyes out so my gameplay was awful. After that one qp match a random person on the enemy team added me just to tell me “don’t ever play the game again”. It just made me feel more shitty.
Quickplay is supposed to be fun and chill, but at this point it’s even more toxic than comp…

I don’t take those toxic comments to heart. I understand that people tend to be toxic in competitive multiplayer games. It’s just sad that some players choose to be toxic in fun modes like quickplay

If multiple people shot at him through a window thats 100% reasonable. i think i know why he doesnt show how many ppl are shooting at him and what heroes they are on, makes it seem a lot more ridiculous if he doesnt show you "i get sojourn railed, shot at by bap, fire striked" etc. you should absolutely die that quickly if 5 people shoot and hit you with strong abilities. just like you do if you got nano, fast charging support ults shouldnt make 5 people hitting their shots/abilities on you just.. not kill you. that would be so lame.
I think they should lowkey add another mod called warm up for all the qp sweats that wanna warm up or get good with another hero and then QP can before the ppl that don’t care and just wanna chill

Even in rainbow the casual gamemode is the warm up.
Just so happens that everyone gets upset in Overwatch.
A new mode wouldn't fix anything.

Dude I had a tank flame me when I was playing Hanzo dueling the enemy widow constantly. We started dueling the second we saw each other so we focused each other in the team fights. Obviously my elims were a bit lacking because I mainly tried to get the widow, to try and keep my supports from being domed. If I’d win the duel I’d focus on unloading into their dps and supports to help the push. The tank goes into match chat and starts raging at me for throwing the match because I wasn’t hard focusing their tank and that I was a “garbage Hanzo zero trick”, blah blah blah. Our supports backed me up saying that I was the main reason they weren’t getting headshot by the widow and the tank was playing like an idiot for rushing into the open with no one behind him. We ended up winning but the tank couldn’t leave well enough alone and had to get the “I hard carried, garbage Hanzo” in at the end of the match.

Know the feeling. I had a bap lose his mind when I picked orisa. Had not even left spawn and he started going off about her not blocking bullets and bad hero and this and that. Started swearing and then decided to leave even though I was like I can swap heros, I don't care. He responded with more verbal diarrhea and then left lol. Luckily it was quick enough we didn't get a loss, just a priority requeue lol.

I have the idea floating around my head. What IF Zens discord orb would be a projectile. It would be harder to put on since over greater distance tanks can easier dodge it and closer hes easier to kill
Before touching zen again make Sombras hack a projectile.
Also Ana sleep is still bullshit, even though its a skill shot, so id doubt it would change much at high level.

That widow tip actually literally just won me a game today. Hard cheating 5 stack with multiple people walling. I literally kept playing widow into theirs just for the threat value and it actually gave my team enough time in fights to sway the tide. I got rolled, but we won in the end

I usually stay on the mirror match. Not because I have a huge ego, but because I feel like, if I counter swap, if I change characters, Is that really a demonstration of my skill? How do I get better at the game if I just swap at every opportunity? I’d become what I hate the most.

Simple solution. Keep Quick Play for people who want to have fun. Make a new game mode that mirrors competitive but only in a practice sense, there's no real cross over with the actual competitive mode. Basically the same game mode but with its own ranking system that means fuck all. It's just a measuring stick for people to practice in, with new heroes or period, so they both see where they stand with that hero or get better at it so they climb out of a rank they feel like they're stuck in. As a bonus you would alleviate the people wanting to fun, or new players, from being pitted against competitive players or premade teams of them. Because that shit ain't fun.

Was playing doom earlier today, first game on. Literally just existing not even getting picks. They go Cass, sombra, Ana, hog. Like wtf WHY IGNORE THE FUCKING SNIPER DUO KILLING YOUR TEAM AND JUST REPEATEDLY CC MY ASS THAT AIN'T DOING SHIT. like, that bothers me. Where you get mass counter swaps when you ain't even carrying. I've seen it happen more than once as well.
As a DPS I should tickle all of the enemies as much as possible and as consistently as possible. but I like playing junkrat...............

if you're being spawncamped fair enough. However recently I've been trying to learn a bit of doom/ball in my qp games, I'm fairly confident on all the other tanks, definitely not the best or above average on most but I can play them like they're supposed to be played and even though I've got the mechanical skill of a baby with arthuritis and carpal tunnel I've managed to get myself to mid plat which before I was hardstuck bronze in ow1 as I just refused to switch. I physically cannot try to practice ball/doom, every single game without fail I start off on doom, sometimes ball if I feel like playing a bit of ball, get maybe 436 damage at most in a teamfight, missing every punch, beefing every kill confirm, generally doing nothing except poking as dive characters and they'll immediately swap hog/orisa, sombra, pharah, mercy, ana. I feel like I'm gonna have to smurf to fucking bronze lobbies to even get a chance to practice regular doom/ball gameplay since they don't understand how to counterswap there.
if you're counterswapping while you're being spawntrapped fair enough but counterswapping the guy who's clearly not good, practicing a new character, not doing anything after 1 lost teamfight just because "oo ooo counter oo oo" you're taking quickplay too seriously. I'm not asking to be allowed to just carry the entire team solo, for them to lay down and die but it's at a point where I honestly feel like practicing a character at my highest rank is more realistic/doable than in quickplay because of these dipshits who think they're in a tourney, team counterswapping the bronze equivalent doomfist so they can make sure that 5k damage/10 mins 2-10 doom play doesn't end up happening.
I think the problem is no cross play ranked, if I want to play overwatch with my friend I have to play quick play, I CANNOT play ranked with them

Comp- super serious sweaty
QP- serious but less sweaty
Arcade- not serious not sweaty
Custom games- casual
Anyone that thinks qp is the fuck around game mode is harming people that want to play qp seriously but don’t like comp format or pressure. Please stop, go play arcade.
The vid of quick play not being fun because of sweats is valid. I use quick play to hone my heroes and get my aim dialed in before comp. I would be down for a scrimmage mode. Doesn’t affect your rank but plays just like comp. Like 2 rounds of Hybrid. Create distance from the sweats and the casuals.
The 800 hp lucio clip is so funny, cause just recently i was winston with a lucio, it was qp so i was just lookin to have fun.
I primaled to survive against the dps, and lucio beated to save himself
So now im now currently around 1500 hp

qp shouldnt be like comp, why is there leavers penalty? why am i getting matched against top500's
i genuinely dont know how you would "fix" quickplay. you cant fix how people choose to play. you can have people who are there to practice, try to win & also people just having fun. but having fun can also mean trying to win and hitting shots. that dorsnt mean theres something wrong with the game mode. its a player problem, but you just gotta ignore them. mute qp chat if you just want to chill (or turn on text to speech, its extremely funny)
Since quickplay is both unfun for casual and competitive, we really need a third mode for the people who want to try, but not get a migraine from the sweat of comp. A "serious" QP mode, or a practice competitive mode where there's no rank.
I'm sorry but I do think that is technically a problem if the matchmaking isn't even changed whatsoever between a ranged and quick play game mode then what's the point of rank in the first place like no wonder they let everyone see each other's placements in the first game at that point you're just logging in 2 sets of hours to the same machine I definitely think quick play could benefit from the matchmaking being completely scrambled in a sense that the skill difference is much wider between all 10 players so every player can experience every form of combat in this game getting carried by a tank getting carried by a DPS getting carried by a support getting railed buy every type of character because of how many different players you'll run into instead of everyone having the same mindset because you constantly only get to play with people in the same rank as you it's like j3's ELO hell videos how are you supposed to get the chance to prove that you can move up if you don't even get the chance to play in the big leagues
Lmao I queue in QP to satisfy my intrusive dps moira/mercy/Illari thoughts or to be a fucking nightmare to the ennemy team with sombra. If my mates need heal theres packs/my pylon out there for them to heal, I'll still gonna heal them in between team fight tho
On QP, ill usually ask for a rein mirror bc its fun, and 9/10 times they dont, and a little less than half of those then go orisa bastion and im just like really? Come on guys. (Tho i will say whrn the mirror does happen its so fun)

My only problem with counter swapping in QP is when they do it instantly. I win one team fight on rein and its bastion, orisa, zen minimum walking out of spawn for next fight. Like man you really got your ego bruised that hard you all counter swapped arguably the worst tank right now. Get real
Everytime i see people playing overwatch; I wanna play overwatch. Every time i've played 2 matches of Overwatch i feel like i'm done with overwatch.
I'm gold... vsing previous gm role challengers/t500 role challengers is impossible for me at least that's why I gave up on qp lol
They should add an unranked game mode. Where you play within a slightly more generous skill range. Maybe gold 5 to diamond 1 or whatnot, its basically ranked but it doesnt effect your ranking. You could play with similar skilled players and experiment without tanking your ELO or ruining some bronze/silver games

Rein being bad is indicative of a healthy meta. He's living up to the character fantasy of being left behind by advances in the field and refusing to change to keep up
That makes no sense. This is just the result of Rein's nerfs finally adding up in the end. Everyone agrees that when Rein's good, the game is fun.
When Sigma/Orisa are the only good tanks that means something is wrong
Tanks right now have the worst experience possible. Healthy for everyone else, but tanks need an updated passive to account for the DPS passive

I believe this is just a slow rendering issue. Like your PC just hasn’t loaded the character models yet.

quickplay is sweaty
Oldest possible solution said for years to the "quick play problem", split quick play into quick play and unranked. Quick play, no changes. Unranked is entirely comp rules but without SR.
Main reason me and my friends play qp is because we are just outside of each other's ranks. Its usually around 500 sr (one skill tier) difference so we can handle queueing together just fine. That's one reason I'm excited for season 10 since we no longer have to configure our wants and needs just to play the game in comp.
Sometimes I question why upload reactive TikTok videos and keeping the video short, when Flats rants about the facts.
Wouldn’t the quickplay problem be fixed if you had a real „unranked“ mode? Kinda like R6?

Yesterday I played a game of QP to try out doomfist (It pains me to say, but as a tank main I still can't play doom well), and within 10 seconds of the game starting there's already 2 people in my team yelling at me to swap, and throwing when I told them no I just wanna try doom, so yeah.
Also we won and they still had the audacity to say 'your welcome'
I think the tank passive needs more I think tanks should take 30% reduced cc reduced anti reduced head shots on top of the reduced knock back

Overwatch 1 had comp, quick play and the arcade mode that was basically open queue, the name of it escapes me. That third one is what my friends and I played before OW2 released, and it kinda solved the problem for us.
