Upon reflection I worded this pretty poorly. I think my stance now is that Blizzard should have dropped the S6 trailer and also told us about Talent Trees together in their own release (and seperate from starwatch stream). So, yeah, pretty much walking back what I said originally.
The last guy's point is that Blizzard shouldn't have even hinted at PvE back at that first Blizzcon with Jeff in 2019. His point is that they should have kept their hand hidden instead of spilling it all over the table and then spending the next 4 years playing 52-card-pick-up like they are now.

The tank and support tip are real, you absolutely get more rewarded for playing for aggressive and looking for damage in support because all of the tools and insane cooldowns the role has; The tank tip is also really good, just play more reactive and less aggro, if the enemy tank pushes or commits to something that's when you start doing shit until then just play conservative and wait
The only truly awful thing about the comp system is that it refuses to derank any substantial amount. I think I am 20-70 -ish win/loss across all roles this season and the furthest I have dropped on one role is maybe 2 divisions cumulatively. I don't think I have made it to 5 wins a single time but it refuses to pull me down to silver/bronze where I need to be. It's not fun to sit down and play for 3 hours and go 1-7 where the only win was a DC on the other team. I know I'm shit, let me play with the shit players. I'm having to essentially grind losses for weeks just so I can get to matches where I can actually play the video game. Update: Currently 60-130 and have finally deranked to gold 1/2. It's taken me some 50 hours, but I think I'm finally close to where I should be placed in mid-low gold.

I eventually climbed to diamond 1 then went 5-2 then 5-1 and dropped to diamond 5. I still keep getting put into master/gm lobbies and end up with 1-12 or something along those lines and stay at diamond 5. So idk what the matchmaker is smoking

It's counter intuitive because everyone says dont shoot the tank, but a tank without pressure will roll your team. Edit; after typing this comment flats followed it up with correcting that mentality lol. Dont shoot the tank applies to dive comps mainly. Ignore the horse, kill the supports. For example, if you can get away with free damage or maybe even a kill, you should definitely do it so long as you can heal your teammates and get away without dying.

If they did what that guy said to do and just dropped the PVE I would've been way double livid they held out this long and didnt tell us before the patch
12:00 One of the rare times I disagree with Flats. The guy has completely legitimate point. In business, managing client expectations (what you say/don't say) has a major impact on perceived success of the project. I like transparency, but there's genuine reasons for not saying anything until things are set in stone (Nintendo for example), vs giving WIP sneak peaks (Blizzard). Everybody wants transparency, devs love sharing their work, gamers love seeing behind the curtain. But, hyping up your audience with an early WIP is such an easy way to set yourself up for failure. This probably sounds like I'm some sort of Blizzard fanboy, but just someone that's seen (and been a part of) client expectation mismanagement that put projects in positions where they can't succeed.
13:46 The point this guy was trying to make is that if Blizzard hadn't announced talent trees and other features and instead _just_ announced PvE, while not revealing specific features that could be removed at a later point, people wouldn't be as mad about the current PvE situation because there would've been fewer/lower expectations.
4:04 so tired of that bullcrap. Flats said that when YOU leave the game, your server side MMR doesn't change and it's good, bc you don't want to be punished for dc. Here he says you should be punished for your teammate leaving, bc it can be abused. Hello? Anyone home up there?
8:51 I feel like if your supports have to be constantly healing, you’re bad. You’re not using cover, you’re out of position, you’re trying to flank & duel but you’re getting diff’d. Otherwise, your whole team is getting rolled.
if anything they should've probably told us SOONER, like as soon as they knew they weren't gonna do it?? why lie to us especially about something we'll have to pay for?
What bugs me is that they knew before OW2 even launched that PvE wasn't gonna happen, yet they led us to believe that's what OW2 was supposed to be about. We got jebaited.
My biggest gripe with the new rank icons is that the higher tiers AREN'T SHINY!!! I'm so glad I hit diamond in OW1 so I could at least open my profile and see that shiny badge, or enter a game and see everyone with shiny badges. The new icons are all dull and GM AND PLAT LOOK ALMOST THE SAME.

On overwatch 1 i was plat/ diamond. Ow2 season 2 i hit silver on all roles, gold on season 3 and have finally made it back to high plat this season on everything except the counterswap minigame heros 😂
My friends very first comp game was against diamonds. He doesn't even play support and he got ranked in plat 5. Does playing your first 50 unranked games increases your mmr
just track who is on a team with others and punish the leavers in the team? punish leaver harshest, punish teammates as well. you can check to see if they were grouped on entering.
13:45 No, the take was that they never should've announced PvE the way they did and promised all they promised in the first place. They never should've announced it in the first place if it was never gonna happen anyways. That's what that take was saying. If they never announced PvE with a full campaign and skill trees and all that jazz and just dropped OW2 as it was dropped, then added THIS style of PvE in Season 6, OW2 would've ended up being a much better game. That's what that take is saying
I would say that the best thing to do is for a teammate leaving is just to count it as a draw for the team who had the leaver. Even if said team with the leaver wins, count it as a draw. The team who has the full team, count it what it is (they lose they lose, they win they win). Have the leavers get a harsher punishment like a longer suspension than just 15minutes-1 hour. Yes, the system will still be abused and allow boosting, but it will moreso act like you just didn't have a match, wasting your time rather than feeling bad about something you couldn't control and getting a loss. Lower ranks already have a ton of leavers, so it's not like this changes anything for said leavers, heck, it would be worse on them because they will have to wait longer to get back into the game to find a match. Of course, this is just for solo queuing, where having the leaver be unintentional for the rest of the team (aka, the team who stays behind were not part of the reason nor wanted it to be intentional). If this was for groups, this would be a hard no because it would be intentionally abused.
Bro, the quick play matchmaking is still messed up. I was playing with a friend (we both high gold to mid plat across our roles in comp). Somehow we got a Moira who JUST INSTALLED THE GAME. Litterally didn't understand they could move for most the game while using abilities and attacks and also tried to suck and heal people from behind walls and 5 meters away. In the same match the enemy team had 1 masters player and 1 grandmaster player. Wtf.
If OW added a solo/duo ladder or made that the ranked ladder I would probably play comp and then do like League and have a flex/stacked queue on the side.
The guy that was talking about the announcement of PVE was clearly trying to say that blizzard should never have announced the talent based version of PVE and should have instead just dropped the PVE they're doing now. It's a great strat as gamedevs an example would be No Man's Sky's dev team dipping for a few months while just working on the game and suddenly dropping massive updates without any announcement and it saved their game. He wasn't stating that blizzard should bring out the trash PVE after revealing the talent based PVE but instead that they should never have said anything about it in the first place. If you look at games such as GTA or Dark Souls, very rarely do they make teasers for their games which in turns means there's no hype train before anyone gets their hands on the game so in turn they won't be upset when the game doesn't reach their overly hyped expectations. Valid take, OW community is just too ready to flame anyone even if it was a slight misunderstanding, and honestly no one can blame them because the dev team from Activision-Blizzard is doing a really terrible job managing the expectations of their community and it shows.
The guy in chat who said "New Blizzard CEO coming in" to the guy who said to keep quiet about talent trees isn't wrong...
I think what the guys take was that instead of getting people hyped about something they planned to drop to just not say anything would be better

Not me in bronze not knowing that hitting people with bad Heals did more
so big dps, regular dps, and lite dps now lol. I like it
13:46 The point this guy was trying to make is that if Blizzard hadn't announced talent trees and other features and instead _just_ announced PvE, while not revealing specific features that could be removed at a later point, people wouldn't be as mad about the current PvE situation because there would've been fewer/lower expectations.
Okay about the rank not forgiving leaving. They could just do leave forgiveness for solo ques maybe?
An easy fix to boosting with a smurf duo leaving in a losing game is to make people in a group with the leaver still lose SR
In the new prop hunt game mode WHY CAN I FLOAT IN A TREE Ive honestly been abusing the mechanic for free prop wins
4:04 so tired of that bullcrap. Flats said that when YOU leave the game, your server side MMR doesn't change and it's good, bc you don't want to be punished for dc. Here he says you should be punished for your teammate leaving, bc it can be abused. Hello? Anyone home up there?
Really said matchmaking is good when I'm queuing against GM's and my best ever rank is diamond ll
i was in gold 3, went 5-0, de-ranked to silver 1, went 5-2, ranked up to gold 5
2:50 Sorry but since when did Bap healing do less "DAMAGE" when you hit the ground
8:51 I feel like if your supports have to be constantly healing, you’re bad. You’re not using cover, you’re out of position, you’re trying to flank & duel but you’re getting diff’d.
Otherwise, your whole team is getting rolled.
you might be the best but your the best tank in my heart flats keep charging in my guy
i’m unaware of ow league people so when i heard Kephri my slow ass brain went to Smite Kephri 😂😂
Nobody:
Flats: *Unironically*
if anything they should've probably told us SOONER, like as soon as they knew they weren't gonna do it?? why lie to us especially about something we'll have to pay for?
I think the guy was saying that they should of never announced the skill trees not say nothing about removing them
Seeing Ram on Volskaya looks so cursed
Matchmaking might be okay out of metal ranks, but down here it's miserable.
No hes saying dont hype up PvE and just take the alligations
13:57 "just slip it in there and hope they don't notice? Like...ew"
What bugs me is that they knew before OW2 even launched that PvE wasn't gonna happen, yet they led us to believe that's what OW2 was supposed to be about. We got jebaited.
Am I the only one that thought if you shot at your feet with baps healing you would heal yourself aswell?
Why do the balance team for Overwatch still have their jobs???
My biggest gripe with the new rank icons is that the higher tiers AREN'T SHINY!!! I'm so glad I hit diamond in OW1 so I could at least open my profile and see that shiny badge, or enter a game and see everyone with shiny badges. The new icons are all dull and GM AND PLAT LOOK ALMOST THE SAME.
Overwatch players when their RANKED system feels like how a RANKED system is supposed to feel : 🤢
the reason for the wall thing is knockback+your s key i was playing ana into a lucio and he knocked me through the way when i was on like 25 hp and saved my life lol
on the topic of the first vid, you may not be the best tank but you are certainly one of the more entertaining ones to watch.
Don’t tell to not shoot anyone if I’m playin junkrat. Shields run scared from me
I love these videos keep up the amazing roasting 😂😂😂
5:23 thank you for getting that person off the screen. Ew.
Edit: nvm you brought it back.
tbh just have something like league, solo/duo, and then Flex (solo, duo,Trio, fullstack)
the guy saying they shouldn't have talking about PVE skilltrees wasn't saying they shouldn't have said they were dropping it but not to announce it in the first place to get our hopes up for nothing
@10:28 The guy on the video (not Flats) says secret, but the subs say lie. Anyone else noticed this? XD
On overwatch 1 i was plat/ diamond. Ow2 season 2 i hit silver on all roles, gold on season 3 and have finally made it back to high plat this season on everything except the counterswap minigame heros 😂
Nah rank inflation goes crazy, I was low plat tank in OW1 and now I’m master, I have not gotten better
10:38 Honestly Zens leg is the best ult in the game
How did they lose a fight to the bots. That's the true mystery
I’m sorry it heals MORE if you hit the target on bap
13:45 No, the take was that they never should've announced PvE the way they did and promised all they promised in the first place. They never should've announced it in the first place if it was never gonna happen anyways. That's what that take was saying. If they never announced PvE with a full campaign and skill trees and all that jazz and just dropped OW2 as it was dropped, then added THIS style of PvE in Season 6, OW2 would've ended up being a much better game.
That's what that take is saying
Unfortunately sometimes that’s not from DCing… but lol @ his aim
Team with a leaver wins = draw makes absolutely no sense
I'm ngl, I didn't know bap did more healing when he directly hit someone, granted, I haven't played actively since 2018, but y'know.
Wtf.
The bastion pick reminds me of OW 1 season zero 6 torb defense on 2cp
Valid take, OW community is just too ready to flame anyone even if it was a slight misunderstanding, and honestly no one can blame them because the dev team from Activision-Blizzard is doing a really terrible job managing the expectations of their community and it shows.
i mean you could just make it so if your partner leaves you also leave automatically and get the same penalty
