The objective is no visual clutter and some of the first heroes after release are kiriko, ram, lifeweaver and mauga
To be fair a good chunk of that clutter was also because echo copied a tank adding to said clutter

They seem to want you to be able to see the power of the effects instead of just stats
Rein earth shatter is an absolute monster to get hit by but looks way more lacking than ventures tectonic shock
So they've definitely been beefing up the visuals department for new ults

Well damn. Guess they're right about cosmetic supports.
Looks at the support stats on the other team, that is what a non cosmetic support looks like. Highest elims in game. 0 deaths. More damage than both of the "protagonist support duo" combined, and they are keeping up in heals. Any support can go moira and play like a bitch afk heal botting the tank from a safe position you have 0 chance to die at, doesn't mean you are playing well or doing your job just because you kept up in heals when all that is just inflated from heal botting the tank. Also theyre literally playing moira 50% of those heals are on herself anyway. So they have no damage, die more, no elims, supports literally afk in base, and they are barely even healing more. The supports got gapped even harder than the dps, they trying to act like the enemy dps carried but who has the highest elim in game? THE ENEMY SUPPORT. If you're going to be completely outclassed cosmetic healbot support the LEAST you can do is actually outheal them and not just by 5%, if you're doing half the damage as their support and providing literally 0 kill pressure, you need to actually have a high healing number.

@@ironman1458Holy copium, the reason the other supports have zero death is because the DPS (the role that exists to punish the mistakes of the enemy support / DPS) kept dying.
If the Soldier 76 did not die off spawn every fight and could actually be around to punish the enemy support / DPS, they would not have zero deaths. The enemy supports have more damage because they do not need to worry about having to heal their team so much because the enemy DPS keep dying. Which reduces the pressure on the supports to heal allowing them to slot in damage between their healing.
Think laterally before you come in here dropping silver takes on how the game plays.

I'm a DPS main and I firmly believe we should ONLY be getting tank and support heroes until the roles are relatively even. I don't see how DPS players should feel entitled to anything more if they care about the health/balance of the game. If you're honestly begging for more DPS characters that tells me you care more about having new toys to play with (cuz you're easily bored by the millions you currently have ig) and less about the competitive experience.

That was MY Rein air-shatter tech video that someone stole and reuploaded to TikTok. The reuploader cut out a lot of important context and caveats, but the gist is the tech allows you to have your cake and eat it too by gaining the movement of the jump shatter AND the speed of a grounded shatter. It's been a thing since OW1, but faded into obscurity since there are few remaining Reins who are skilled enough to pull it off consistently, and failing it has big consequences. I can answer questions from anyone wanting to try it!

This video is ancient at this point and you seem like someone who just wants to be a prick rather than actually learn the tech, but if you REALLY wanna know, the biggest caveat that got cut out is how the tech is impossible on uneven ground-it needs to be a perfectly flat plane. I also talk about how you’re able to perform one out of a charge-cancel with different timing that produces different visual effects. I literally told you that you can go watch the original credited video but I hope writing this comment was easier for you! :) There are nicer ways to tell me you can’t do it…

Yesterday I had a venture blame me, the genji, with more damage, kills, and 6 deaths compared to their 12 deaths, that we lost because "genji was being useless and not flanking". Completely ignored our 12 death tank who had no concept of LoS or the fact our supports had half the healing of the enemy and our Ana with 12 deaths was getting outhealed by Zen

One of the things that I learnt sometime in OW1 but never seem to see online is that you can animation cancel reapers reload halfway through. Makes it feel much smoother and I think you get to shoot slightly earlier
Once had a game where I was playing support, I was playing moira and half way through the game I have 12 kills, 5k dmg and 5k healing (more dmg than the guy who complains and about 1k less healing than the highest in the game) had a dps start complaining because “you aren’t healing enough” at the end of the game I had 22 kills, 8k dmg, and 12k healing, highest heal stat in the game and bro started yapping about how “just because you kill doesn’t mean you are getting value, you need to heal” the real problem was my friend who had 7k healing but that’s my bro so he chill.
Also I was playing moira which genuinely most of the kills a moira gets is because they threw an orb into the enemy team and getting 5 because it did 20 damage to everyone.

perma feeding widow as ashe only to then swap to genji against a mei, moira, and winton. Mentally deficient player for sure.
For the Emongg clip, I'm pretty sure it's just the overlapping Mauga ults that causes the crash. The ult itself has documented glitches involving respawn locations, so multiple overlapping, especially two on the same team thanks to the Echo, is causing the game to freak out and crash.
Dps players are something else. I had a sombra say to me "bap, how many times am i going to die infront of you?" And i was like zero bro. You flanked ana, got slept, and got glocked by mercy. 7 times. Thats not a me problem.
Imagine releasing a second version of the game you released years prior, reduce the number of players in each game, fail to add extra content, and put it all on new software that (should) run better only to have players well over a year after the second release break the game by using their abilities.

If the supports are cosmetic what are the dps? deadweight? maybe they picked the deaths per second role and not the damage per second
What they mean by "cosmetic support" is they are doing nothing compared to the supps on the other team who are doing more damage, dying less, healing the same, actually killing things. Who has most elim in game? Enemy support. Who has least deaths in game? Enemy support. Both that support duo damage combined is less than one of the enemy support. And they still convinced themselves they did well. Support players are so delusional

It has. Like as far as I remember. That was my video (which someone stole and put on tiktok), and I decided to make it recently because there are so few Rein players remaining who are even good enough to hit it consistently these days that it's kinda become lost to time. Hell, even Flats didn't know it so there's the proof it was worth reminding the community lol

Them Dunning/Kruger players flaiming their teammates when they feed into the enemy 1v5 are getting worse. I thought it was bad in the classic game.
@@ironman1458 good point. I would advise people to reset after youre supports die. That said, this wasn't that scenario. While we don't know what lead to the supports dying, we do know that the rest of the team had no idea their supports were dead, and expected to be healed through whatever was happening. When they found out the supports were dead, they failed to point out any feeding that may have happened. We may never know without the replay.
That doesn't really absolve these people of being dunning/kruger players, it just means the whole team may be making grave mistakes; which is the most likely case. More mistakes increases your chances of loses, leading to lower sr and mmr.
To end of this long winded response, I suggest just reseting and planning your next fight when your supports die early, it leads to more wins.
@@fettbub92Its even possible that they weren't making any major mistakes and the enemy teams was simply better overall, but the dps players just found someone to blame instead. Its very easy for a support to outdamage multiple people when their team isnt dying a whole lot compared to the enemy team.

I had a game recently where I was just getting cooked as DPS, though it was mostly getting near insta killed by enemy echo and widow with mercy DB. Echo especially putting out insane damage. Though I had double the deaths of all my teammates, mostly because I got caught lacking by widow, which that wasn’t my supports fault, it was mine, but we also didn’t have a mercy, and a lot of the times in lower ranked games, not having a mercy on both teams means it’s like playing 5v6 which is very infuriating

The not enough new dps heros debate people have to realize that alot of us came from overwatch 1. We were starved for new supports back then. Blizzard just had to play catch-up with overwatch 2. Now that it has stabilized we can get more dps now

This tech has been a thing since even before Bhop actually. Basically since the launch of OW1. It's become lost to time since there are so few remaining Rein players from back then who can even still pull it off in a game. That's why I decided to make the video. If Bliz hasn't removed it in 8 years, I doubt they ever will.

Last night when I was playing qp with friends, I got kicked off the servers, replaced by someone else, and then 20 seconds later THEY were kicked off the server as well, putting me back into the game.
Still got a penalty though 🤷♂️
I had a comp game earlier where I loaded in... and I was the only person in the game lol. A few seconds later I see a message about the gaming ending and my rank will not be effected. It's definitely a weird experience for sure. Sorry to hear you got a penalty. That's pretty lame.

What is up with the bots in comments recently
They don't have to fix the over abundance of DPS chars by only releasing new tanks and supports. They can also convert some existing DPS chars to other roles. Sym should be reworked to be support again. Mei should be a tank. Echo should finally become the support she was originally supposed to be. Sombra could be redeemed by being changed to support. Etc.
I know people of any role could have this attitude but when are we going to start the movement that DPS players are the problem most of the time and I don't mean anything about the game or the heroes I'm talking about their attitude once they feel the need to actually speak up finally

Faster fades, faster regroups. Is it possibly a misplay? Perhaps, but the dps should also know your main healers died, play off health packs and play safely instead of going in for kills, Ashe should've backed out instantly the second Genji Doom died together, regardless if Moira Lucio was still alive.
@astupidlylongnamethatstoolong my opinion is if the Moira already got picked the team fight already started. Rather go all in than try to kite especially on small maps

At that point you should backout if you can, catch a kill if someone IS low enough or die asap and regroup. First part of the clip, sure go all in. That would be lucio's fault. The rest are literally the dps being bronze level awareness.

yeah that supp duo was ass too. trying to act like the dps players are getting gapped when the enemy support has highest elims in game and more damage than both that supp duo combined while outputting the same heals and dying less (hence cosmetic support since they are dying more, doing less damage, putting less pressure, getting less elims, and not even healing more). and the supp duo fed way more than their supports no wonder the other 3 couldn't do anything with their supports permanently dead in base. I know exactly that kind of support duo think theyre gods gift to earth but theyre just drones heal botting the tank patting themselves on the back for keeping up in heals while falling behind in every other metric.
