      I really wonder if there is a way to be in keto and do fasting WITHOUT losing weight. Not everybody wants to lose weight. I have not found any video on this topic. How can we do keto and fast and still gain weight?

      @@MehdiBroadcasting sure... raise your protein and fats.. protein keeps or increases your lean mass... enough fat will keep you maintained (or let your bodyfat go down till it reaches a healthy level) or up your fat...at some point you will store fat even in keto...calories do matter 😉🤓

      @@MehdiBroadcasting well if you aren't losing a gram that's not so bad... but sounds like you either have a fast metabolism or you may not be digesting the food properly (I suspect some of those who eat crappy foods but remain thin are just not absorbing food in their digestive tract)
      Protein increases metabolism so too much would raise your metabolism... but it is a great stimulator of insulin ...so you could leverage it by eating copious amounts of fat ... but even fat can raise metabolism in away...for instance stearic acid tends to make mitochondria burn off calories as heat... the body is a strange and amazing biochemical machine...it can resist weight gain by just burning off calories as heat instead of using it within the cells to make more cells and run cell functions.
      Your best bet is to focus on your health, energy levels, and functionality... the number on the scale really isn't a good measure of success 🤷‍♂️

    I was told I was too fat to join the military last year. I was 260. Thomas was the first guy on TH-cam I watched to lose weight. From February to July I got to 195. I’ve maintained 195-205 since then and I want to get down to 180. So here’s hoping I can achieve just 1/3rd of my weight loss again!

      If you don’t mind me asking what did you eat throughout your day? I’m trying to lose weight using intermittent fasting and Keto diet but I want to lose the weight slowly and I do not want to overdue it so I can let my skin adjust to the weight lost.

    I want to share with you a little about me. 8 years ago my 18 year old son died of cancer. 4 years ago I lost my wife in a car accident.
    I ate my depression. Everything and anything. I am morbidly obese now. Seeing my peak weight over 500 lbs.
    A few months ago I tried keto and lost 30 lbs.
    The holidays have been hard but I am committed to making this happen.
    I will say I am right at 500 lbs to start.
    Thank you Thomas for doing this. I dont drink coffee so is there anything else I could do?

      Aaron - I wish you the best - you are on a good path to take some control back on your body. I am so sorry for you loss, I have been on this journey for last two years and you people who haven’t seen me in years are in shock with my progress. I work out now at 5 am and started off very small but the keto tea or coffee is my favorite part of the day to get on track. Ghee and Stevia or Monk Fruit with your tea or Matcha tea can get you on track in the morning and stave off your hunger for a while, I usually have a morning beverage when I first wake up to help me burn fat with my workout. Keep going brother, you are getting advice from a good source!

    I'm doing this... I hit 300 today, I'm exhausted, foggy, too tired to play with my children. I NEED to change, I need to improve my quality of life, I need to find out what my body wants, and I need to be healthy enough to spend time with my kids and show them how to be healthy

      So many mamas I know starting drinking NAT ketones as well as living a low carb lifestyle and have seen crazy results. Start with 2 packets a day for 10 days and then drop to one a day in the morning fasted, the mental clarity, energy, focus, appetite suppression and more is so amazing!     10 months in on Keto and had set backs this holiday season. I started February last year weighting in at 398lbs. My lowest weight was November at 299. I was not good to myself this holiday season and now back at 311. I am now trying to reset, so I am in with this 30 day challenge. Starting weight today 311. I followed you all last year and it helped me lose the weight. So informative and could not have done it without following your channel.

      @@celenahughey4087 - just started to incorporate exercise into my daily goals. Starting very simple with going up and down the steps more. I purposely leave things up or downstairs which forces my to make more trips. Sounds simple but its a start. Exhausting carrying 300+ lbs up and down steps 20 times a day, so I definitely get a workout in all day :). Yes, let's do this.

      Definitely try out pruvits NAT 10 day challenge! It’ll give you that kick start to your journey, these drink packets put you into ketosis within an hour of drinking them. I drink one a day and see great results

      1st month is the biggest weight loss because you lose 5lbs of water weight and bloated ness.. but it works.. I loss 100lbs over a 2 year span and still continue my keto journey to this day...

      Elizabeth Shoemaker...that’s amazing! I’m 149 lbs and I really would like to see results when I try to follow this plan. My obstacle might be the amount of food we’re supposed to eat for each meal. The quantity of protein is huge per serving. Are you able to eat 7 oz of meat per meal? I don’t eat beef, so it will be fish for me, but still that is a lot...Don’t calories matter??

    I started Keto in July 2019 and lost 50 in a year. This channel was one of the first I found in research. Delauer helped educate me. Keto is not a diet. It is a metabolic state with supreme health benefits over the standard American diet. I have managed to keep that weight loss through 2020 but I’m not in ketosis and I’m not satisfied with that, so I’m glad to join this restart. I know by focusing I can quickly get back to all the pieces of a healthy Keto way of life. Starting @ 210

      It is simple take a challenge keto strict for 21 days without carbs . 20 are okay but you must consume them before 2 pm during those 21 days in 3 weeks I lost 12 pounds after being in stall for couple months

    I started doing KETO 2 years ago before I knew about Thomas... Finding this channel has really helped me step up my game and in the time of about a year-and-a-half I have lost about 125 lbs I started at 260 lbs and am now at 135 lbs.... Thank you Thomas for caring enough to share this information... So many of us are just too poor to be able to afford to buy it... GOD bless!!!!!

    254.8 lb, just turned 24 yesterday. I did this last year, but then stopped when I moved to work at Disney. Then the rona happened. And all the depression that came with that. I’ve never felt full in my life, with the proper food I should eat, except when I followed Thomas’ methods. It’s gonna be good to get back to feeling better and having energy after work.     I took a lil time off from Christmas to New Year’s Eve and my body hates me for it! Feeling crazy bloated, tired, out of breath and unfocused I CAN NOT wait to start!     Thanks Thomas, I’ve been watching your videos for several months now and using some of your ideas. Because of your generosity and help on these videos I have taken off 50 pounds since July. I slipped up over Christmas but am going to get back on keto hard in January. On July 16 2020(my birthday) I was 264.4 pounds December 16,2020 I was 214.2 pounds. Today I am 217.0 pounds. My goal weight is 190 pounds. I am a 55 year old male in a fairly sedentary job and have chosen to lost this weight so I can see my granddaughter grow up. My family has a history or heart disease and diabetes and my parents and grandparents all passed in their 70’s. I want to live longer than that.     I eat a low carb lifestyle typically nowadays, before I learned about this way of eating, I was at a heaviest at 255, a week away from having my daughter, but still crazy overweight.
    Thankfully, a started to make a change a few months later, and a whole year and a half after eating low carb and having the knowledge I do now, I stopped and maintained at 155.
    I'm 178 now, from 155 but im about to have my next child this April, and so excited to get back into intermittent fasting and low carb! 😄 maybe will try keto. But cutting out the breads and sugars and watching oversized portions make such a huge difference!!

    I began the keto way of eating since September 2020 My starting weight was 234lbs now I'm 207 I've lost 27lbs following your rules and learning from you, it has helped me tremendously. I began this journey not with the main focus of losing weight, but because of my health, I suffer from multiple sclerosis and my symptoms everyday became worse, 2 weeks into eating the clean keto way my body aches has disappeared, I have less inflammation, less tingling on my hands sometimes I rarely feel them tingle. My IBS GONE, migraines are no more, I've 3 months going on 4 feeling more than 50% better. Thank you Michael for your passion and knowledge!!!!

    228 lbs. Started keto on dec 2and 240lbs. It's been a ruff month December. I made lots of mistakes due to lack of knowledge. Hopefully January won't be so painful following your plan. Thank you so much for being so generous with your knowledge. It's really helping me gain my life back. My depression before dec was at an all time high and honestly suicide was a dominant thought throughout the entire summer. Starting keto has given me so much hope. The inflammation reduction in my body is my ultimate goal. Honestly dude u saved my life. Thank you for that.

    I lost 30 lbs in 2022 on keto. Took a break over the holidays and ready to get back at it! I was so surprised at how great I felt! No afternoon sleepiness and I was sleeping so much better. I look forward to feeling that great again after my holiday sugar fest. Starting weight 160.

      If you weight is below 200 pound's, then you will lose less weight, than someone above 200 pound's, for some reason the "200" is a high topic, among bodyweight every single expert, mention's the "200 pound's".

    I started keto a year and half ago I started at 350lbs I been fallowing you on Facebook ever sense. I now wight in 264 as of 06/07/21 I am wighting to get down to 240 to have my knee surgery. I think I would be more by now. I have done dirty keto here and there. I know I could do better. It’s hard when you are on a tight budget. But this helps a lot.     I could just cry! You are so good to be so helpful to people who struggle with macros and all that ! I don’t struggle with eating whole and reall healthy foods just want to get the amounts correct! I am working to get the last 10-20 pounds off because I lost about 60 pounds after my father died without really trying! I haven’t weighed this little since I was 25 and I am 56! I know I can lose the last bit and will know when I get there if I have arrived at my healthy weight! Was 197 when I started and had lost to 135! I started this keto when I actually gained a little during holidays and got up to 141! Frankly was relieved I could gain a little! Now want to get to between 125-130 to see where I am! Have been on keto for 15 days and now 137! So not that far off from top of the goal but actually want to get ore off and build some muscle that I lost before! So I am in it to win it! I have a new grand baby on the way and want to be here for the two I have already and the new one that I am so excited to build a relationship with! Thank you again! I know relatively small amounts of weight sound insignificant but they’re not when I was on all kinds of medicines and am not currently taking anything but vitamins and a few supplements! This is proof we can do anything as long as we can still draw a breath!

    Been doing keto (clean) and intermittent fasting for 1.5 months now. 20 lbs down, feeling great. Goal is only 20 lbs to go. Changed me and the way me and my wife look at food, and habits. Much thanks Thomas for the vids which provide great information!

      @@sexxxykeda I am doing the 16 : 8 (16 hour fast : 8 hour window for eating) I start my fast at 8pm. My day is typically up at 530am, water, walk, and can start my eating window at just after Noon.

    Been at the beach “no scale” so didn’t weigh in until this morning (4th) 6’ 184.4. Hoping to drop below 12% body fat. Down 85 lbs total since 6/24/19 and as low as 178. Also been in maintenance since Mid-August so great challenge to get back on the wagon. Thanks

    Hey Thomas. My current weight is 65 kg at 176 cm at the age of 23. Keto has been a lifechanger for me. My Goal for 2021
    is to gain a total of 5 kg of muscle with as little fat as possible. Also planning to become leaner but obviously not a stick

      Update: I did not stick to this, as easy as the meal plan is, it’s not very practical when you eat with your family/don’t cook your own food. I have to be more committed starting next week. I ate healthier overall not kept but did not exercise and lost 5 pounds.

    I am 63. i started keto and watching Thomas in Feb 2020. I was 225# at 5'-9". I am currently 182#. my goal is 165# + or -. I was going to the gym 5 time a week, but they closed down in the beginning of Dec. I haven't worked out at all in Dec. I really miss it. I'm starting to lose muscle mass, which is really hard to gain at 63. I'm going to hit it hard to earn my 6 pack this year.

      I fell off for a bit and now that the holidays are done I haven’t actually gained any back surprisingly. Back on again. Current weight 179. That’s 46lbs gone so far. I can’t believe it

    Start weight - 145. I was always 127 and in the past two years I’ve gained all the way up to 145. It’s not terrible however, my clothes do not fit me anymore. I tried Keto for a few weeks in the summer and really enjoyed it and lost 8 pounds. One of my new years resolutions is to actually stick with keto for a longer time and go back to 127!

      i started at 270 3 years ago. thanks to thomas i am 190 today but thats only because i splurged in holiday cooking this year since thanksgiving but i usually stay around 182 -185. yes its only 5-7lb difference but i can feel the difference not eating as clean. when i go real clean i can get to 175. dont get discouraged, dont live by the scale and dont put a time limit on success. get past the 1st 6 weeks and its all dominos. best of luck in your journey!!!

    I didnt do this challenge specifically but went on keto + IF. Lost 7kg, mostly fat, some water, no muscle because I haven't lost any strength. Highly recommend you combine this with intermittent fasting and if you can, cut it down to 2 meals a day

    Ur a buff sweet heart! In case y'all don't know my husband's dr. told him to make sure he's getting enough vitamin D it helps ya not get covid! He also says keep his cholesterol under control too. My HDL or whatever always gets good when I'm eating right. HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!

    Early IF is great, eating during the daylight hours. Getting in breakfast and eating it all by five is something I like to do because of the science etc... :)
    It looks like it's about 12-1400 calories so it's fairly low but as long as you are getting enough nutrients (like the zinc/copper balance, enough potassium and magnesium, iodine, b6 etc etc check your RDAs)
    I'd take the tuna, eggs and gouda. Coupled with some pink salt maybe for a bit of iodine at least but preferably some cod and added fat (like ghee) every other day or something. Making sure to get enough veggies for copper I guess, perhaps some liver every now and then? Or some unsweetened 100% chocolate with your snack item. Also perhaps avacadoes are quite necessary for an un-supplemented plan as they contain not only copper, but a fairly decent amount of potassium etc :)

      Swap out for a pc of bacon- any meat really...or plain yogurt/sour cream with seasoning and pork rinds - check labels for content to keep it compatible.

    I started keto in 2017. I lost 100 pounds. The last year I have gone back to overeating.. i have gained 30 pounds back... I still don’t eat non-keto foods but I am having cravings again and becoming obsessed with eating... starting the challenge to get myself back on track... 190 this morning...

    This is a bit horrifying but...this morning I weighed myself and I've hit my heaviest I've ever been :( 167lbs. I know for lots of people this may not seem like a heavy weight, but for me personally...it is.

      I felt the same way yesterday. I ate badly over the holidays and yesterday I weighed 167. This morning I weighed 159, so I'm doing a 3 day bone broth fast to help me get back into keto faster, then Ima do this menu from Thomas. I have to eliminate sugar cravings

      Yeah I started with fasting but I did C8 caprylic acid with some coconut oil and tried not to smell food or anything lol. Spiking insulin sucks.
      I'm underweight (for a man, I'm just a bit lighter then yours. It takes a lot of fat to meet minimal goals though for me :/ Like a bowl full a day lol) so I need more calories but fasting is great, as long as you do it right.

    I just got the grass fed butcher box for Christmas. I love it! We aren't overweight, but my honey has heart disease and arthritis, so I'm thinking of trying keto. My sister has been on it for 3 years and is pain free. We already have a clean diet, eating a lot of vegan meals. I'm a little nervous about his heart disease. He has a 100% blockage of his carotid artery. I might check out the Facebook group.

      I've been OMAD (22hrs, 2 refeed) for the last five days and so far it works. One issue is it's hard to eat enough for the day in one meal, even if its a two hour window. If I weaken I'll do what Thomas suggest and go with his 30 plan.

      Just skip dairy. You don't have to replace it with anything. Or just add more fat or protein to your meals. Maybe add an extra egg to take over the dairy. Dont overthink it! Enjoy your health journey 😊

      Maybe nuts or one of the dairy substitute cheeses? They have cheese made from nuts, but im not sure of the carb count so if it can be found with 0 carbs, its probably ok.

      You don’t generally count calories on Keto. It’s more about what you’re eating than how much.

      @@TheLydiaM that sounds highly unlikely. You have to ALWAYS watch your calorie intakes. A 6ft person can’t eat the the exact same amount as a 4ft person (and vicr versa)

    I’ve started keto again Jan 1st. Started at 195 and already down to 188 in just 4 days. I think I’ve gotten through the keto flu much quicker this time which for me is just headaches and diarrhea TMI sorry! But I’m already feeling good. I have a protein powder coming in the mail which will help me on the meals I really just don’t want to measure out and cook on occasion. Thanks for all the new ideas!
