Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready sounds like a real quote, huh?

Wow, I never thought about it but that is so true. You are very smart. Honestly that would make most sense considering Villads had a ship and the waves could get a bit rough, sometimes had to brace himself for a storm. Either way, meaning or no meaning, this man is wise. Loved the video!

In the Dragon Prince franchise, choices are one of the many themes that this show talks about.

Alright, out of everything in the show, I never thought something random Villads wound say would spark theories! The theory does make sense though! :D

I could also see it being a lesson of adaptability and problem solving. The way Villads talks about his waterproof socks, I’m willing to bet that he invented those himself. He can’t always prevent himself from getting wet when he’s at sea all the time. So instead of moping over wet socks, he used what he had to find a solution.
This is after he told Rayla how the only thing she can know and control is herself. So maybe he’s telling her that while she can’t always prevent bad things from happening, what’s important is how she chooses to deal with whatever the river of life throws at her. So it’s basically, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.
