I've also been asked about the OLED flicker which I have not experienced yet but the screen did randomly go black for about 2 seconds mid call of duty match once with my AMD GPU but hasn't since and never had with the Nvidia cards, likely unrelated but felt I should point out.
Can you turn dsc off at 240hz 10bit 1440p?
I'll have to see but the image seems fine to me so far. Don't have any DSC options that I've seen
Don't understand why anyone would try to turn on 4k, it won't ever allow you to. It's not a 4k monitor....
It works, I will make a video. When on Xbox, turning on 4K flips on HDR as well as a slightly better picture. 4K 120Hz was not available right there but 60Hz works and I will make a 2-3 minute video walking through this tonight. Found out while working out something for someone else that had a 21:9 aspect ratio question
can you do a video on text clarity. Especially when you hook it up to a pc.
It isn't the clearest and with only a cellphone camera, might be tough to show off. I'll probably add to the tail end of how to enable 4K 60Hz on the consoles

Yea FANTASTIC viewing experience but unfortunately as I thought it would, is DOES NOT output 4K 😢. I'd still recommend but maybe look at some other options that might upscale
@@FIVESTRZi got g60sd, actually on screen it displayed 2.0, but in my ps5 settings was 120hz, VRR on. Eventhough, 4k is not available, 2k still displayed very crisp picture and colorful. Better than LG gr95qe that i just sold.
@@FIVESTRZ hdmi 2.1 on this monitor is 40gbs,not full 48gbs,but is enough for 4k 120hz.Is something about firmware limitation i think
@@lupuradu841 yea, we will see over time, I’ll definitely give it a go because my capture card and I plan on uploading College Football ‘25 🏈 content and if firmware allows 4K 120Hz then I’m game but as long as 1440P 120Hz exists Madden for sure has it and I’ll be good otherwise. Waiting to see what ends up happening when CFB is out with that refresh rate, concerned it might only be 60Hz which would absolutely blow lol

i have the Gigabyte Aorus FO27Q3, and this one does 4k 129hz output resolution
Some guy Danial zh even made a very informative video and measured more input lag if you don’t use 4k 129 signal, in this case for mw3, because 95% of games on ps5 have a fixed render resolution, in case of mw3 a dynamic resolution, and the PS5 will always upscale the resolution to 4k to give u a better picture. But then it will downscale the resolution again to your output resoltion, and if that resolution is 1080p or 1440p, you have one more step of processing which increases input lag, it’s not really noticeable, like 14ms vs 21ms, so yeah, but it is something to notice . That’s also one of the reasons, why you don’t get more FPS like on PC because U can’t change the render ingame resolution, that is fixed by the devs. He even measured a few more watts when using 1080p/1440p 120hz instead of 4K, like 220 watts vs 223-226 watts when not using 4k, which is probably because of the extra processing you have for downscaling (On PC, you get like half of the amounts of watts when you switch to a lower res). So for PS5, always use 4k 120hz output. I’m just curious why u can’t select it, I mean, even if the bandwidth is limited, you should be atleast able to select 4k 60hz. Very strange.
I also have the gigabyte Aorus fo32u2, and I want the perfect monitor for both pc and console, thinking about staying with the 4k 240hz, feels more future proof, i think 1440p might get outdated just like 1080p since all those 4k 240hz oleds came out this year, and i dont really feel a difference on PC with 360hz vs 240hz, my 4090 can max out both, this is probably because 240hz OLED is already so fast, that the dimishing returns kicks in very quickly in this case. My Asus pg27aqn IPS 360hz didn’t feel that fast like both 240hz/360hz oleds
One thing what I wanted u to ask, can u test if the ultrawide view in the OSD setting works? It’s greyed out cause u have adaptive sync enabled, but id like to know how it looks on console, like, it should scale the screen to 21:9 aspect ratio and this would mean you can play stretched res on console, wanted to give it a try, a lot of FPS players use that resolution for those games, maybe it will help me for my top250 grind to see bigger enemy’s lmao
I'll see what it looks like tonight on Xbox and my LG Ultragear I believe has that 4K output, just need to check it.
So it seems that the game has to be set to that resolution, turning off adaptive sync DID however enable 4K 60Hz on the monitor, which was very interesting and I will be playing around with that and potentially the HDR, going to see if it allows me to keep things like HDR on while gaming at 1440P 120Hz because the "allow 4K" is toggled.

@@FIVESTRZ yeah, disable and Freesync premium pro on the monitor which you shouldn’t have to do, but if you disable freesync then vrr is disabled too and 4k will be unlocked
@FIVESTRZ have to disable free sync premium pro which also disables Vrr too (hopefully this will be fixed in a future firmware update) and 4k 60 is unlocked.
Something is wrong with your monitor, I think. Or your cable? You should be able to get 4K60 with HDMI 2.1 cables on the Xbox Series X and PS5. The manual states as much and other reviewers, like Little Snowman, even show their own Xbox Series X results showing 4K60 is supported on the G6. 4K120 is NOT, though, that's for sure. But you should at least get 4K60, which would be required for XSX to display HDR on the G6.
Make sure in the menu you have HDMI mode set to 2.1! It can accidentally be set to 2.0.
There's only 1.4 and 2.0⬆️ options. I'm making a video on how to get 4K 60Hz. Learned it in passing
In short, adaptive-sync is the blocker that needs to be turned off then you have the option on the console.

The rest of the channel I run my XTX, 4080, and 4090 set ups with. Really just wanted to be able to have the option the highest refresh rate on the upcoming College Football 25 game.

Lol man the only games running on 30 FPS on console are running at 60-90 FPS on PC lol. Unless it's FPS capped but the main games I play typically have 120FPS support like Madden or NBA 2K (also helps that the console versions have the next generation updates on games like 2K). God of War Ragnarok also hits about 60-85 FPS on PS5 when using performance mode, all don't need a 360Hz monitor and you can grab a $500 OLED that's capped at 240Hz and it's still overkill, however flipping to PC and I am hitting 300-400 FPS in certain games like MW III multiplayer
