They're voiced to have the same characteristics. Obviously depending on cabinet size lower frequencies will be different. Manage your crossovers have the same power going to each you should be fine.

Enjoyed the video and like that you showed the set-up process. After 8-9 years of loving my Onkyo TX-NR609, it's been having HDMI & power-off issues, so looking at my options for a replacement, and Denon is certainly at the top of my list.

Good review the q acoustics are tremendous value and ideal for anyone starting out in home cinema. I use 2050i for my mains and 1020i for rears very rich sounding through a onkyo 676 but still detailed .Good luck to y'all.

I've been using Denon AVR-X4400H with 7 units of Q's older 3020 for bed channels and 4 units of Q's older 3010 for height channels (SVS PB-1000 for LFE duties) in my living room...

GREAT REVIEW, JUST WAITING FOR BLACK FRIDAY. THEN ITS ACOUSTIC 3010I 5.1 BUT I WAS THINKING ABOUT MAKING THE FRONTS 3020i. Want the 2500 denon only because the shelving would be flush with it inside and the 2600 would stick out.

Funnily enough I'm happy with my soundbar which is a Yamaha Ysp 5600 with subwoofer but I listen to a Yamaha RN803 driving 2 KEF Q550s in my study. That rig sounds wonderful for classical music, blues & jazz. Everything is connected over musiccast which I prefer to Sonos because Yamaha has so many compatible products. The Q Acoustics are lovely speakers too. One of my brothers has the 3050is connected to a Sonos Amp and it's a very pleasant and exciting listen.

I'll get a pair of 3020is and power them with my vintage receiver. Vintage 2 channel receivers are quite nice. Class AB and A amplifier technology beats class D despite higher power consumption. Even though the 3020is are still small, it will get very loud at 110 watts per channel on my pioneer A9 receiver made in 1981 and in Japan.

Hi Shane. Many thanks for what you do. This is always revealing and useful. Perhaps 1 question not directly related to this topic. What are the speakers wall mounted along each side of the TV in this video background? Are they KEF T301. I can't see any logo. I am currently searching for the best compromise between sound quality, slick design and size for a 5.1 home theater system. I am not an audiophile but I love great sound quality. Have you ever done a review of KEF T series? Many thanks in advance for your feedback. Richard from Phuket Thailand.

Any idea what setting to choose for 2.1 music listening, multieq xt says flat is for music in a small room, well i got a big room what to choose, there is also reference for movies, l and r bypass and off, what to choose. It makes me think flat shouldnt be used for music in large rooms, what would u choose Shane? Q Acoustics design looks pretty nice.

I have set up the Surround Sound 7.2. Center, Front L&R, Side L&R, Rear Ceiling L&R and a sub woofer. The house came with ceiling installed speakers, of which the Rear Ceiling Speakers are already being use, but the Front Ceiling Speakers are just sitting there and not connected to anything. Can I use the Front Ceiling Speakers for Surround Sound? Can I use them as Zone 2 but used for Surround Sound? Can I use them as Atmos Speakers? Your video was the best I have seen on TH-cam and any suggestions would be helpful.

Speaking of Denon, have you heard about Denon releasing the AVR-X3600H which is suppose to be an inexpensive version of the AVR-X4500H?
It's got everything I want without spending a fortune with exception of Auro 3D decoding which to me isn't really a big deal because Atmos and DTS:X releases are much more common anyway.
Yeah I was gonna get that one but figured this would be more easily attainable with good results.
Because of that i might be looking for a used x4400h, a cheaper x3600h. But will see. Need a lot more things to change before i got for speaker count upgrade. A 5.x.4 is the max i can put currently.
@@Quetzalcoatl0 It's not pretty easy nowadays to find the X4400H but good luck. Not sure if you'll get eARC with the X4400H but unlike the new X3600H you do indeed gain Auro 3D this time. No IMAX Enhanced though but since that one is still in pre-mature state, I wouldn't worry too much about IMAX Enhanced.
@@coloniellizardt4191 I don't think i will benefit from IMAX Enhanced because most of the movie with IMAX Enhanced still have black bars and the noise reduction and shit, it's a gimick for me, also i plan to go for a 21:9 screen anyway. IMAX is just trying to survive at this point =/. As for Auro 3D, i also don't care. i don't like upmixing. If there is no data , then there are not faked sounds which is what i want, Pure as the editor/creator intended!
There is a used x4400h for 950$ when i convert the currency and considering that the prices in europe are super high, that's not bad. The x4400h new costs here 1927$. The x4500h new in the USA from amazon right now is 1600$ and the older x6400H is currently at 1400$. We don't have these kind of sales when a product goes from 2k to 1.5k just like that. =/
@@Quetzalcoatl0 I sonewhat think the same with IMAX Enhanced, I'm no fan of DNR which is the only thing making the format a little but unappealing to me. Until the home theater gets it right, I personally think IMAX should just stay in the cinemas where it belongs. If IMAX keep this up with average gimmicks, they will end up being dead like THX.
price of the speaker set is up to 1050, sheesh. Would you say this set up sounds better than any sound bar out there? And would it be possible to add 2 dolby atmos speakers for a 5.1.2 set up?

I have the same Q Acoustics 3000i speakers but with the 3050i floor standers instead of the 3010i. Great price and performance. Believe all the speakers are 6 ohm and my Pioneer SC-LX83 has no issues driving these speakers. In the UK they come with a 5 year warranty. If you have the extra budget give the 3050i an audition and I don't think you will be disappointed. They also do a range of in ceiling speakers for Atmos so you can go on and expand at a later date. Great review and brilliant giveaway!

Ah honestly should have mixed this up a bit. Should've pieced in the 3020i for the satelites along with 3090 Ci. The subwoofer is not good. Just as you said and this subwoofer is pricey because of it's small size and elegancy. You should have incorporated SVS PB1000 which costs just as much and literally destroys the Q acoustics sub.
I am myself piecing in mid range HT sound system (5.2.2 in the end) with Q acoustics speakers and it will consist of:
Front: 3050i
Center: 3090Ci
side: 3020i
on ceiling: 3020i
subwoofer: svs PB2K
receiver: Denon X3500H.
I'm currently using 3020i for the fronts while budgeting for the rest... and my god. They sound SO GOOD. Like way out of their league good. I paired 3020i with the SVS PB2k and it's just... for a small room where the MLP is about 3 to 4 feet a distance from the screen these are just perfect but they are just not strong enough for a medium to big HT rooms as 3020i has rated sensitivity of 88dB at 1watt of power and distance of 1 meter, and when you do some calculus that is 106dB of power at 64watt. It can maybe reach 107dB at full 75w of power. These can do real theater reference dynamic range at 3 to 4, maybe 5 feet a distance and any more then that there is a risk of blowing them out due to exceeding 75 watts of rated power. I don't know what their peak is i think i read 100watt so they may sustain sudden jump in over 75 but i wouldn't use these in medium HT. That's where 3050is come in. :D

I'm curious about just one thing about that amp. Does the powersupply inside him? I have a Sony STR DN1020 at the moment but I want to replace it soon.
My Sony is still working perfectly but it only has a Max video output of 1080P , it doesn't have ARC and the powersupply inside hums which is annoying when watching a movie in quiet scenes.
Do it's time to change it for something better. I know this amp has 4K 60Hz and eARC but is the powersupply transformer quiet inside it?

Denon x2500 and q accoustic 3050i cinema pack 5.1 bought them last year, and I am more than happy and didnt spent a fortune .dolby vision compatible works grrat with lg oled e6 and panasonic ub 820. If you want to, you can add 2 atmos speakers as well.. I wish one day you gonna take a look at 3050i floor standing I really curious your opinion about them.
Denon receivers are great if one likes having the soundtrack loud all of the time but when one has the volume on low that's where one can't hide the quality of its sound, a good quality AV doesn't just sound good on high volume, it should sound good on low volume too! Mind you I can see why people love the Denon receivers with the fabulous heos app, Setup Assistant, excellent graphics and the extremely user-friendliness of the AV itself and I think it would be best if I didn't mention the 2-channel stereo sound considering there are probably Denon AV owners reading is right now! Lol

I am interested in this receiver. Since I use a lot of video devices. Some have hdmi, and some only composite video output. An enigma is bothering me! If it is connected to, for example, the cbl/sat input via hdmi, some device (dbt imilab) that has an hdmi output. Is it possible to connect an analog video device to the composite analog input of the cbl/sat receiver (video and audio), for example, a sat tuner? Does the receiver recognize both signals on the same video input? I read the user manual where there is no explanation for such a connection. Only automatic recognition for audio signal and hdmi (changing the name of the input) is indicated. My question is, is it possible to simultaneously connect two different devices (hdm and analog) to the input under the same name cbl/sat, and does the receiver recognize this automatically? Unless! Is it possible to choose hdmi or analog through the menu setting? Does it at least allow that possibility? If more than one device is started and the other is not used at the same time!? I hope you understand my question! If you have not used such a combination of connections until now. Can you check by putting together such a combination as I describe and let me know what you get at the end in practice!? I would be grateful for your answer.

This Denon is $644 ($745.95) on amazon and I just checked if it is for sale near my house and found one ten mins away for €489 ($543.60)
I have the Denon 2400 but I find on anything other than CD playing it does not like much volume I cannot go beyond volume 10 sometimes lower it sometimes will cut out as low as volume Five and I think it goes up to 98 so volume v is very low and I'm finding it cutting out and shutting off the receiver I notice it needs a perfectly clean signal all the time to work would this be a hardware problem or a software problem I'm just trying to see if anybody would have any information on this thank you very much have a great day I love the show and a video selections of everything here you guys do a great job thank you keep up the great work
Steve Mann if you have run calibration and setup correctly, I’d say it’s a faulty unit and to just send it back. Does the unit get hot before it cuts out? And you speakers are the correct impedance ? What speakers do you run on it?

I have had many recievers in my lifetime and i must say that Denon has really the best sound quality ever, i am still running on a Denon Gold reciever 5.1 dd and dts and this reciever simply will not die after 18 years now,i would like to upgrade to the new Denon because of audio codex,but iam gonna wait till my old Denon dies................
