I've loved Denon since I was a kid playing with my dad's DRA-700 Precision Audio Tuner/Amp in the 1980's. I am so happy to see them continuing to produce excellent products!
Yes, the sound of the S970 is warm and full and simply gives more bass to the satellites... I also had the x2800 and even though the x series is supposed to be better, I decided on the s970... simple reason... rich warmer sound...the x2800 sounds cold and has far too much treble...that makes it seem clearer...too clear...you have more details but it just doesn't let you feel the music and film...
Thank you! that actually helps me a lot! To hear tubeaudio folks review.. there is a huge gulf between the two in sound quality! But your review seems to say otherwise... Thank you!@@Goanaut218
Any Idea what’s the difference between the S770H and the X1800H, except the front buttons? Both cost the same here in europe and it seems that they have the same specs.
My Denon AVR-x3400h just died. I can get the Denon AVR-970H for a little over $500 from Bestbuy or was looking at the JBL MA 710 for like $800 is the JBL worth the extra cash?
Neither of those will sound as good as your 3400. You should get the best one you can afford. Please reach out to our team at www.audioadvice.com to help with your decision. Thanks for watching

The 1800 is a better unit, they are priced pretty far apart here in the US, if they are the same where you are, get the 1800. Thanks for watching

We can not find any specs on your speakers. If their sensitivity is 89dB or higher, either of these would be fine.
@@AudioAdvice thank you I've been trying to find info as well hate to replace them as they still sound and look brand new
Is the s770h good enough to power the polk es55s with es30 center?
It would but we would suggest the 970
Can you setup this reciever without a t. V. Or smart t. V.

Hi, do you recommend this model, S960 or S970?
970 is the new model. If you can find a great deal on a close out 960 that would be a good option.
90 watts per channel for… 2 channels or all 7?
2 channels
$500 budget. New 7.2 system in new house. 3 front, two above, 2 back. Is the S770H the best for my budget?
Probably, yes. Thanks for watching
