@@HomeTheaterHobbyist I currently use the Bose 301 series v, I love the sound, but since watching your Q Acoustic 3030i reviews, I am tempted to trying them. I love the design more than anything else.
I really like the 3000 range. There's no shortage of choice. A good case where it's better to plan your own setup than just buying a bundle. Personally I'm leaning towards the 3050i's for my fronts.

So i bought a year ago Q 3030i with Yamaha a-s 501.I was very worry maybe the sound turn out to be too bright for me.Ηappily the sound is laid back. The highs are crystal but not offencive, the mids are warm and revealingly and the bass deep and strong (in my room). In some movies bass gets very low frequencies like a subwoofer! The whole room is shaking!!So i don't have to spend more money for a subwoofer. Like i said i was worry about the synergy between them but Yamaha A-S 501 proved to be a true gem.Far better speakers than wrfs 12.2.
Do you think the 3030i would be equivalent to the 3050i in a 5.1 setup? The 3050i cinema pack gets stellar reviews, where the floorstanders seems to really shine by providing a very wide soundstage and enough bass extension to complement the sub. Apart from the lower sensitivity, which probably means the amp would need to show a bit more muscles, do you think the 3030i will do the same job in terms of soundstage and bass extension? The 3020i would probably be too short on both. Cheers for your great reviews!

I can find the older 3050's (no i) for slightly cheaper than the 3030i's + stands. What would be the better option in this case? A pair of floorstanding speakers definitely look a lot better in my living room setup, so if the difference is negligible, I'd go with the older 3000 gen.
Hey, first off, love these videos! You almost have an ASMR quality, so I get to feel very relaxed AND learn about speaker systems at the same time! I'm moving to an apartment with neighbours below and I have the Q Acoustics 2050is. I love them to bits but I'm thinking floor standers will be quite a disturbance to my neighbours when the bass rumbles through their ceiling! Would a pair of 3030is be a good solution, perhaps with the stands and without a subwoofer? Thanks!
Thank you for the compliments! 😁 Yes, I think the 3030i’s could work quite well in your new place. Once you get them respond to this thread and let me know what you think of them.
I auditioned two previous sets of speakers before I finally settled on my acoustics, I'd also like to point out, one of the previous sets were three times the amount of the acoustics and yet the acoustics sounded better! Maybe it's to do with my 12×13 small room environment! If you click on the cat you can hear them for 2-minutes in HI-RES with matching video
Since you've tested each of them, I'm wondering which of the 30x0i speakers is the sweet spot (balancing cost/performance) if... - you need 4 of them (for side and rear surround in a 7.1 setup) - crossover is 80Hz (already have LCR covered plus 4 subwoofers configured through a miniDSP 2x4HD)
Great question! I think the sweet spot, if you already have a sub (which you do 😄), is the 3020i. Great highs and mids. Crossover at 80Hz is perfect for them!

So, 3050i is my choice :) Regarding the amp, do you thing an old Yamaha A-S500 would be enough ? Thank you !
How bad would it be to put 3050i next to each corner? I'm planning to get another SVS PB2k sub and the only possible placement is the front stage and the only way I can really fit the 3050is with PB2k is by placing PB2Ks near the center channel while putting the 3050is to the outside (current fronts are 3020i which are on a shelf about 1 feet off the side wall) which would put them very near side walls. I do plan to put heavy curtains on both front side walls to absorb some of the reflections as this room sounds near bathroom levels... But in any case how bad would be to put 3050is near side walls? Ideally I'd want to put them at least a foot or two off the wall but if I do that they'd be too close to eachother and wouldn't get stereo separation -.-

What you say the difference is between the 3030i and the 3050 .
I haven’t tried the 3050 so I can’t say
Happy camper with the 3050i
Nice 👍🏾
Just go to 3050i and subwoofer, 3050i mids much more full-body sound than 3030i.
Thanks for the testimonial!
Nice.
Thanks!
i need dat bass
Thanks for the comparison as usual you done great review 👍 .I listened to the audio samples comparing these 2 speakers and I must admit they sound almost indetical ... very disappointing the 3050 as floorstanders should produce wider soundstage and better bass and dynamics than the 3030 Which isn't the case here.
The 3030 is probably excellent value for money but 3050 is not.
