    Love that sound. So heavy in mids and very old-school.

    Hi, did you use a different pickup cover for your J-50BC? The stock one is too big to fit in the cavity.

    I read somewhere that the gain boosted EMG doesn't make much sense on a digital amp like Kemper because the advantage comes from the higher level on the preamp input. Do you know if that's true? I installed an EMG Alexi in my Jackson and I even have a GP1000 profile on my Kemper, but I never get that picking sound (if you know what I mean) out of it. Looking into getting a GP1000 just to see if it's just me or the amp 😂

      Excellent question, if you have an external way which adds gain and EQ in the same way; then then it doesn’t make sense to use this gain boost.
      I think I know what you mean about the tone, but that comes from a secret component in Alexi’s signal chain as he had his GP-1000 modded to have this. If you get a GP-1000, specially for what they go for these days, you might run into the problem many that have it do; half the knobs do nothing without this secret component. So you might feel a bit ripped off. In the future I’ll do a video detailing Alexi’s signal chain/rig and reveal this component, but it might not be anytime soon as I am pretty busy these days and don’t have the Marshall cab to complete the rig.

    Do your Jackson J50BC have wah type sound all the time? I got j50BC at my hands too and just curious is that just part of it's sound? I think it is because peoples in different forums writes about it, but had to ask. When i roll guitar volume lower it can be heard pretty well. I have also ESP MM-04 boost.

    • @Warhearts
      @Warhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What do you mean by “wah type sound”?

    • @kuitaristi3003
      @kuitaristi3003 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Warhearts Hi. There is little wah type effect in the sound. I ask this same thing from another youtuber and the reason for the wah type sound is ESP MM-04 preamp. It's not a flaw it's a part of the sound, like JE1000 has.

    • @Warhearts
      @Warhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kuitaristi3003 I think I know what you mean; the gain boost also provides a a mid boost so that might be the source of the “wah sound”

    • @kuitaristi3003
      @kuitaristi3003 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Warhearts Yeah that's it pretty sure. I knew that Laiho's tone has some odd wah effect but i didn't know that, it was caused by mid boost. Guitar i have is LTD arrow 1000.

      Sorry for the late reply. Gain boost at 80% and eq freq like alexi had it, with only the mid switch on. I hope this helps.
