You don't find them, they find you! They won't let you see them unless they want you to. As a lifetime hunter and outdoorsman, and former fisheries and wildlife officer I've spent thousands of hours in the forest and woods and never seen anything out of the ordinary, until we lived at my family farm in Southern Michigan. We had an entire summer of tree knocks around our house and whoops in our woods, then the following spring a face to face encounter that changed me from a skeptic to a knower
Can you tell more of your story? What happened during your encounter? How well did you see this thing? I was born in Michigan and absolutely love it, though I haven't lived there since I was a kid. I'm amazed at how many of these stories I've heard about over the years that have occurred in Michigan.
He is so naive, Of who these people are. He's looking at him like animals, They are not. The emperor read on his cameras hurt their eyes and they see it.

Luke, I had my own encounter with a bigfoot back in 1972 in Kansas when I was 10 years old. I was wading barefoot up a creek in the woods near my childhood home when I heard splashing like someone was following behind me in the creek. When I turned around to see who was there, to my shock and surprise, I saw an 8 foot tall, huge ape like creature standing on two legs and covered in black hair, but with a man's face. Frozen with fear, I then watched the bigfoot merely turn to walk up a steep hill and quickly disappear out of sight. It never once tried to harm me. Now at 61 years of age, I think back to that experience and wonder if the sasquatch had followed me to watch over a small boy alone in the woods that day. Truly unforgettable! You may try following any creeks or streams in the area and look for tracks along the banks. All living creatures need to drink water to survive. Needless to say, I am a believer!
@Joe Thomas Fascinating indeed! If you were able to get a good look at the face, Hidden Existence, Daniela and Larry Batson do a show where Daniela interviews the experiencer while Larry draws the details like a crime sketch artist. You end up with an image of what you witnessed. It can be very cathartic to get it out of your head onto a paper you can show others, “This is what I saw!”
@@IronDogger That is a good idea, I was afraid to tell my parents back then, never did really. Only told my wife after we had been married for 20 years!

@@jerrybartlett273 I did look up the Xanue Forest People, the one that I encountered years ago looked like a really tall hairy man. To me at least it exhibited human intelligence, if it was an ape I probably would not have made it out of the woods that day. Dr. Matthew Johnson went from the bipedal ape theory to forest people. Very interesting website.
@joethomas 1427 that's a good story. I do believe that there are such a thing. But never encounter it. Nor do I wanna see one. It'll change me as a human being.
Hi Luke, amateur Bigfoot investigator from the Pacific Northwest here. Kudos on your observational skills and your healthy skepticism! About the quartz pebbles, the Bigfoots (aka Sasquatches) have been reported to leave pretty objects such as pebbles, feathers, bones, even discarded toys where people pass, as if they intended for the objects to be found. The juveniles play with such things too, as our children do. I suspect that the moss torn off of trees and rocks, and overturned logs, is evidence of bear activity. On the other hand, saplings that are broken, with the tops nowhere near, imply that something with intention did it. A hallmark of Sasquatch tree breaks is twisting. That can only be done by something with hands, that is very strong. If you're ever in the Northwest, drop by the North American Bigfoot Center in Boring, OR, owned and managed by Cliff Barackman, for more insights into Sasquatch evidence and behavior. I think you stated once that Bigfoots have never been seen. Perhaps that was unintentional, anyway it is not true. At the Bigfoot Field Research Organization's site bfro.net, you can find hundreds of sighting reports by more or less reliable witnesses, including some law enforcement officers. All of those have been vetted by amateur investigators like myself. And lastly, the most convincing video of a Bigfoot that I know of was filmed in 1967 in northern California by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin. You can find a stabilized version (i.e. camera shake removed) at th-cam.com/video/Q60mSMmhTZU/w-d-xo.html. Note the "Compliant Gait" with knees always bent and minimal bobbing up and down. If you look closely, you can see muscles moving under the skin; that is not a person in a suit, let alone the kind of suit that was available in 1967! Keep up the good work! Peter S.
As a fellow outdoorsmen I haven’t seen anything out of the usual in my years in the woods. That said, I’m a firm believer in keeping my mind open. There is so much we don’t know in this world.
A Lot of people that have hunted all there life haven't seen a thing out of the ordinary ! And then all of the sudden ! They start showing themselves ! And tree Knox ! 👣
America's National Parks are visited by MILLIONS of people every year, and descend upon nature armed with every kind of camera there is. If Bigfoot exists in any numbers at all, there would be far MORE sightings and video than there are.
My mind is always open to the truth, not obviously made-up stories for a click. Something's watching me. Something's out there. I saw something. In your dreams.
This series is going to be an awful lot of fun Luke. I think the quartz crystal might be from ravens because they collect pretty things. And it is almost the start of nesting season. I can’t wait to see the photos that you get. I think you’re doing an excellent job and I look forward to the next video. Kathy.
I agree with the Corvid theory. Crows, Ravens and Jays will pack around pretty little things they find and then get board or distracted by something, maybe a bug, and leave them behind. These rocks are small enough to be carried by a medium size bird, they also appear tumbled, is there a creek or river within a couple of miles of this area? I have heard stories of Bigfoot having a connection to quartz before, but those stones tended to be much bigger than what your finding.
I wonder if anything would happen if you were to gather enough of those quartz stones to place into a small pile out in the open with a trail cam looking at it. Then come back to it in about a week or so and see if anything has disturbed the pile.
Trail cams are a surefire way to get rid of sasquatches. Don't ask me why, I can only speculate, but we've used it successfully to chase one off that was harassing a friend's llamas and livestock. Both sasquatch and ravens (and humans lol) do like shiny things!
He was saying that people say that Sasquatch see in infrared. That’s not what people say. People say they can see light on the infrared spectrum. Big difference. I was a skeptic for decades, but I’ve heard too many stories from people I respect to be a skeptic anymore.
Bowerbirds, magpies, black kites and bald eagles are just some of the types of birds that steal trash and other items to make their nests. Magpies and bowerbirds collect baubles and trinkets to decorate their nests. Black kites use it to signify dominance and to scare off intruders
I remember watching a wildlife photographer on the BBC talking about the endless hours cramped in a hide filming the Bower bird in the jungle of Papua New Guinea, i think - it was building it's elaborate bower on the jungle floor and somehow it found a discarded Snickers wrapper which it added to the bower - he thought it had fallen out of his pocket ! He caught it on film.
Makes sense Chuck regarding the birds. But for the Bigfoot Believers our there (I am a skeptic, or wanna believer) so the possibilities are cool to think about. But being from the gold country in California, most gold mines out here are full of quartz. Any caves out there Luke where Quartz could be pulled from, or something could be living in? :) It could be used as trail markers since it has such a contrast sitting on the green moss.
I've never had an encounter, but listening to eyewitnesses all around the globe, describing similar accounts coupled with the Sierra Sounds is enough for me.
So glad to see you doing this. Even if you never find a thing, the forest you walk in is beautiful, your commentary is interesting. I would love to see much more! I have had a sasquatch experience while camping, I know it's all real. I am in my mid 60's, and hope to get back out camping soon. Watching your video is quite motivating! Thanks!
The quartz is interesting. The rest are totally explainable. In the mid 1960’s I lived in Washington state boyfriend was a great outdoorsma. Every weekend his was up in the hills. Hunting fishing and camping. One weekend came back Saturday afternoon. Very surprising. We took film to Pay Less drugs to get developed. Very un usual pictures. Large bipedal animal. Nothing I ever saw before, but until his death some forty years later he never entered the outdoors again. Make of it what you will
I'm a skeptic of everything, including Bigfoot, and that's why the search is so much fun for me. I want to know if it's real. I WANT to believe. That's why I love episodes like this. Keep up the awesome work. 👍🏻
I have backpacked 3/4 of the world while in the military 23 years and in my travels as a civilian. It's been a total of 63 years. For the last two plus years I have been a van lifer traveling and living in my van conversion covering almost 30,000 miles. I have never seen any creatures other than the usual or "normal" wildlife...and a few scary humans.
Hi Luke, sasquatch do not like trailcams because it is said they can see infrared light and therefore avoid. Scott Carpenter said if you want your campsite to be left alone, install the cams in triangulation. Glad to see you do this and I hope you do a night camp there.
it is more likely that they avoid them because they are a foreign element, this has been known to happen with other great apes, which not only detect these cameras but some also change their pathways to avoid them, this to me seems more likely than the ability to see infrared light.

Buddy we all sound goofy as hell... Doesn't mean we are wrong though. I'm curious if maybe they are actually sensitive to magnetic fields because quartz naturally aligns itself with north as it forms so if you could see or feel the field it could act as a signpost system. See now I sound like a crazy but I might be right, might be wrong, but I might be right.

Hi Luke, thank you for putting together this series for us. I guess if we allow ourselves to see things under a different prospective, well there is an old episode of yours that is pretty interesting. It was uploaded on July 31 2013. On minutes 19(stench), 56:40 (woodpecker sound like in the night), 1:02( tree falling near your tent) and 1:06(unrecognized loud sound) there are some attention catching activities. Take care
LOVE this! Unbiased, skeptical yet open-minded... beautiful forest, great videos. I do believe sasquatch is real. Thank you for doing this for us. Thats also for every video you do. Much appreciated!
I love this show. I want to know too. I am open to possibilities. That quartz rock.....I am wondering if it marked directions to get back to an original point. Remember how we dropped cereal behind us as kids to find our way back home. Keep up the good work. You, I will believe. Strength and Honor.
Thanks for doing this, Luke. Love your views on life as well as the approach you're taking here. Can't wait for more. Strength and honor, my friend...and hopefully bigfoot.
Geo-archaeologist checking in. Re: the quartz. There are two possibilities that immediately come to mind. First: given the smooth appearance of the crystals they appear to have been tumbled, which tells me they are possibly the work of humans. A person may have placed the crystals in those areas as part of a nature ritual of some sort (likely protection as that is the most common use for white/clear quartz). The second possibility is that the crystals were moved into the subsurface soil by tectonic upward thrust when those mountains were being uplifted. The freeze/thaw cycles and erosion of the soils would have pushed those stones onto the surface soil, when the moss was growing it would have grown under the stones, pushing them up as the moss grew resulting in the stones being on the surface of the moss. Which one of these scenarios is more likely, I can't say without examining the stones. Oh, and the smooth surface of the stones could have resulted from simple water and soil erosion over hundreds of years as the stone traveled to the surface soil.
Hi Luke. Love watching your channel. A few years ago I was bear hunting west of mt Mitchell at a very high elevation. I was following the dogs into a very remote area and came across a shelter rock and packed underneath was green fall plants packed in layers as if something was storing them to eat in winter. There were pounds of them that would take a lot of work even for a human to do.
Love the series Luke - and even more I like seeing more of the Green Forest. It looks old and wild as in not maintained. We don't have those a lot here where I am. All the weird looking trees, beard moss hanging from trees - looks like a setting for some fairytale.
Not only birds but rain can cause the quartz in the moss ,the rain washes the quartz downhill where it catches in the moss ,this is usually after heavy rain . Love your adventures , especially now i can't get out to see it myself. Thanks Luke and Suzie x
@@Americaisplastic36 Other rocks have different properties and don't get caught up. Also, the quartz gets built up on top of the moss over time when other rock and dust particles are lighter and smoother and get washed away the quartz is left behind ( i think lol)
@@Americaisplastic36 As for birds transporting them, maybe they're more attracted to the quartz pebbles because they are bright? Birds like shiny things. Just a thought.
I was so excited to see episode 2. Can't wait for 3. I have never seen a forest like this one. That moss is amazing and all of those fallen trees makes it look scary for sure.. You must do a night camping over and see if anything happens then. Always be safe, I don't have any idea about the rocks unless like other people say bird?
I'm so scared of lightening. Never underestimate mother nature's wrath. I put out a couple of listening devices around my farm and I have several recordings that blow my mind. Great content brother. Love this.
I think for the small rocks on the moss it's birds, especially ravens and crows, they do this at my location routinely. Moss torn from bottom of trees and fallen timber most likely smaller mammals like badger, bobcat, raccoon or maybe deer and bear. If I were looking for BF, it would be foot path or 7ft+ up trees etc.. Those logs were most likely rolled over by a black bear looking for grubs, YMMV! Now awaiting the video with the culprits caught in the act. Thanks Luke👍👍 fun outing and great filming as always.
I live in West Virginia. I am 82 yrs old. I am the oldest child of 3. My father took me hunting with him when I was 5 yrs old. I have been in the woods alot. I used to squirrell hunt. I love nature! Could a bear be tearing the moss off trees looking for insects to eat? I have heard of this somewhere in my life. Just a thought. Love your videos. I miss being in the woods and your videos fill that void for me. It's great to see all the modern things available for camping. When I camped in the woods I used a refrigerator metal shelf to cook on. Chicken was delicious when cooked over a wood fire. Thanks for your videos...
It's a worthy search and I imagine lots of your viewers will enjoy it. At the very least you are objective and open minded and that's all anyone can ask for. Even the renowned primatologist Doctor Jane Goodall believes a bipedal ape like creature is possible. As for evidence there is certainly plenty of castings that have been reviewed, see Jeff Meldrum's work. Micah Hanks is in your region and is the host of the Sasquatch Tracks Podcast maybe yall can hook up for a podcast together or at the very least be a good resource for local information on Sightings. As for your investigation, maybe check out the closest water source to your experience with the "whoop" sound. Follow that water source looking for any game trails coming up off the water, that head towards your previous camp and set up some trail cams. Any large mammal of that size would need lots of water. Also consider exploring the remotest part of that forest. If it's where I think it is, the game lands would probably get a lot of human traffic as would the park and known camping areas. I would also consider areas with proximity to alternative food sources like a farm or landfills but with remote access. I have a Halloween Episode Request...go in search of the Brown Mountain Lights. Keep up the search... Strength and Honor my friend...
My personal experience which happened in Pennsylvania in a huge state park. Anyway when I became a believer the forest had wood knocking during the day. Then I found strange structures. Lastly the night we had our encounter dead silence. I mean not one bug bird or anything made a sound. Then afterwards like someone turned the volume up. The other thing was the overwhelming fear that just washed over me. I’m a veteran and a ex boyscout. I camped in those woods my whole childhood and never had anything happen. That night scared us so bad we left the tent and everything in it. Don’t know if it was Bigfoot but it was big and it moved like nothing I’ve ever seen. Don’t really care if anyone believes me. I wrote it for the ones that know what I’m talking about. Something is in some of these woods . I don’t trust our government to be honest. I’m not saying it’s good or bad. I’m just saying to many have experienced something for it to be nothing.
I am Shure that there's way more out there than we know of, if a virus leaks out of a lab than why can't it be a creature? Just because a lot of people are delusional it’s true? Yeah, makes sense… 😂 Maybe you can burn a innocent person alive and call it a witch. Or turn it into a god just like the other 10.000 of them. It’s all the same. Your mind. Grow up.
@@richardhenry1969 What an incredible story. Thanks for sharing it. I only wish you'd got a glimpse of what touched the tent. Also, how did it get away so quickly? Love the series so far! Love the skeptical approach, it's nice and refreshing.. A lot of animals can see or detect IR light though so it's not that far out there.. You should try some tree knocks!
I'm really excited how this series develops! I don't think for a second you'll get bigfoot on those trail cams, but yet I can't wait to see what interesting pics you get. I love trail cam stuff! I still say you need to investigate the nearby water sources. Surely bigfoot has to drink water?

I'm from the UK too and there's a buzz going round the allotments that a Bigfoot is living in an abandoned shed and lives on a diet of turnips, salt and vinegar crisps and occasionally has a pizza delivered when there's a good game on - but i've never seen it myself although i've heard some strange goings on which i can't fathom.Oh,and some claw marks on my moss covered shed....
I was a skeptic on Australian bigfoot(yowie), same goes for ufos. Until you see and or witness them yourself and unfortunately 25-30 yrs ago I had the pleasure of a sighting 100-200 meters ahead, stood 6.5ft maybe a little taller, 10 secs of visual and to this day I believe, and I'm not seeing things nor crazy. But they are very elusive, they adapt, blend into their surroundings, which makes you second guess yourself. When you have that feeling of being watched, a chill runs down your spine, your hearing heightens, your eyes playing tricks or is it that the brain cannot comprehend what you saw due to all the skepticisms behind it. When you start questioning yourself what real and whats not, is it paradolia or paranoia. The answer will be not what you would expect??????????
Thanks Luke. I appreciate that you're open and willing to explore the idea (phenomenon) of Bigfoot. We can at least conclude, at this point, that there are mysterious things we cannot explain. Strength and honor.
Hello. Just subbed to yr channel and I had to stop yr video to make comment on the quartz. I’ve watched many videos over the years and I have witnessed BF. The BF do collect quartz and place them strategically in their “places”. It may be an energetic thing, we can only theorize on this. I’ve seen them not only on the forest floor but high up in rocky formations. I think it’s their zen place. I see in yr video a few crossed tree X’s that shows this is their place, and for us to stay out of. This is the first video I’ve seen where they place the rocks on moss on the forest floor. It’s indeed a great find for you in this episode. Glad I found yr channel! ❤ keep on keeping on as they say
I was hoping the sasquatch would come up, Harry and the Hendersons mug in hand, saying, "You never said you were bringing coffee!" XD I look forward to more of the series, Luke; whatever you find, it's a beautiful place and an interesting exploration.
Hi Luke!! Beth from Boise here enjoying yet another OGR video. I LOVE Bigfoot content stories, searches etc. based on my minimal knowledge I am guessing that the quartz you’re finding may have been brought in by crows in their courting rituals. I don’t see any right now and there is no moss on the quartz so it hasn’t been there too long. Also as you are clearly stating, the disrupted moss you are finding is quite low and consistent with bear activity. Other than foot prints, what is considered Bigfoot sign is usually up high. A tree broken off in one direction thats really nothing, but many, all going the same direction (like a strong wind burst might do) there are also big foot Teepees, but those include trees often upside down. Intentionally placed. Im seeing a lot of bear sign in the area you’re showing. The only thing I don’t suspect as bear activity is the quartz. There is a chanel calked Buckeye Bigfoot, that has great stories on it. Nance Warren is the content creator and she gets stories from listeners. She then narrates them and has a great voice, and puts together terrific stories. You might really enjoy them on a campout. She also does shoutouts to other small creators trying to build their channels. She really is just a nice human, like you and Suzie. 🤗. Regarding strange attributes attributed to the big guy, its pretty wild. I hear stories of shape shifting, dimension shifting, “mind speak” telepathic communication) but not all can do it apparently.🤣🤣. Also, there is some interesting possibly compelling info in the discovery channel series Monster Quest. DNA found, Hair found, footprints, rock throwing which is commonly attributed to BF. When you get into the DNA findings, for me it becomes fascinating. When you consider that the great Silverback Gorillas were only officially identified in the 1950’s, it doesn’t seem quite as impossible anymore. Also now that the government is admitting that UFO’s are real, I find myself wondering if they aren’t also for an unknown reason suppressing the BF evidence. Im not typically a conspiracy theorist, but this does make me scratch my head a bit. If you havent already seen the Monster quest episodes, i highly recommend them. There are some trail cam shots, and some highly educated (not idiot educated) people that say it is increasingly likely that BF does exist, and eventually it will be proven. I honestly wonder what else beyond DNA, photos and footprints 👣 are needed. Time will tell though, and with thousands of reported sightings yearly, and who knows how many more. Im sure if you saw BF you would speak up. I don’t know if I would. It can cost reputation ally, and in certain professions it could be an impediment. Thank you Luke for making all your videos. It gets me a chance to be in the forest vicariously when Im unable to physically. I hope to work past that and do an overnight on the PCT. It would be a really big deal for me. S&H Beth in Boise.
These adventures are fun! I love visiting the "green forest" with you. I love all the moss. I often wonder if bigfoot could just be random bears or something. I'm very much a skeptic too. Keep up the great work. 😊
I love watching your videos. You don’t just jump and say “ Bigfoot”. You seem very knowledgeable and trained in searching and knowing things. I love that. Thank you.
If you took the same route, the quartz rocks might be markers set out by an observer of your trip. See if you find any piles of golfball to baseball size rocks too off of any beaten trail and GPS mark them if you do but don't mess with them. If you come across a good spot to leave something small (thats not food or would draw attention from smell) like a marble on top of a stump in a way it won't easily get moved off try it, don't put a camera near it though. Gps mark it and see if you find something else in its place next time you go.
Luke, have you considered marking all the places you found the white quartz on your gps and see of there is a pattern to their locations.... a trail, a border, etc. Might give some insight into their meaning. Also, is that type of quartz found locally in that area? If not, where is it coming from?
I’m so happy your doing this man, I really do hope you find something. For all of us, in the community! But I will also say, be careful out there searching, there are other things out there that aren’t as fun.
We love your adventures in the forest. This particular one is reminiscent of Les Stroud’s Survivorman Bigfoot series. That wasn’t fruitful either. Mainly we believe because of one incident in upstate New York where a rock the size of a grapefruit was thrown at us some 60 feet distance. That took super human strength. Didn’t see anyone. Didn’t hear anyone. Didn’t smell anyone. It spooked our 2 dogs to a point where we had to turn and get back to camp. So…we wish you success but stay safe out there and thanks for some great videos. You saved us much time, money and aggravation buying a lot of outdoor gear.
Les was a guest on the podcast `Sasquatch chronicles’ he says something really crazy happened worth a listen. It’s on his youtube channel worth a listen mate
@@hashnoodel2012 I agree with you. Les's episode was #500. Also, Wes really has a lot of good interviews about what people have seen and the BF behaviors. Definitely worth listening to especially while camping!
@@hashnoodel2012 yes, indeed worth the listen. But as Luke stated several times...it is not definitive proof of a Bigfoot. Believe me, our experience at Ausable was frightening because we took it as a warning to leave. We did. What threw that rock...???
You must get with Les Stroud. You two would make a great pair in either outdoor activities or searching for Bigfoot. Can't wait for your next Bigfoot search episode.
Hi Luke, Really enjoy this search and even though it’s unlikely to find anything it’s definitely worth trying. When it comes to searching for Bigfoot I’ve watched many documentaries and often claim bazar sightings and paranormal links. Some of the paranormal theories do sound very outlandish but coming from a scientific background I would keep an open mind even though some seem laughable. Science is making new discoveries daily and having one fixed thought on something can restrict you from opening yourself up to what would normal appear impossible.
Speaking as a former Forest Ranger i've worked with US Forestry in a tree count in multiple areas in my state, Arkansas, we would track into a designated area find the Witness Trees and take a compass reading and distance to the spot to do a tree check - then we would count the number of trees, kinds of trees, size and health of those trees, and write it all down in a ledger book, i did ten of those tree counts while working for Ark. Forestry July 1994 to July 1995 -
Another great video this series is awesome as for what you found with the quartz it might be pigs like boar hunting for truffles or birds maybe deer picking them up and dropping them maybe I dunno as for the trees falling especially in pine forests like the one you’re in pine grows really tall but has extremely shallow roots it’s also very weak because of the low structural integrity of the trunk little bit of wind then they all snap off and fall in all directions randomly with wind swirling through in most directions. In Britain it’s almost impossible for Bigfoot to exist because of the thousands of years of war and hunting also it’s extremely populated so there would be millions of sitings being British most of us like to explore all the time so it’s just not feasible however in america the countryside is vast so maybe they could exist and by what I’m assuming they are an early humanoid that just never died off because of them going into hiding which means they are probably very intelligent compared to just normal animals I don’t think they are super natural by any means might have adapted to have better night vision than we do but whatever it is will be a physical being like I said I love this series it’s exciting but what I will say is those trail cams are too in the open you can spot them from a mile off in the day time at least maybe not put them on the trail but a few trees back looking at the trail maybe I dunno I thought I’d just make a suggestion cheers again Luke strength and honour my friend can’t wait for the next video 👌🏻
Im just wondering why you try to find traces at the BASE of trees if searching for a 7-8 Feet tall creature traces. Shouldn't you look higher in the trees ?
Luke, as you progress along here over the summer, I feel like a thermal camera attachment for your cellphone could go a long way in this exploratory endeavor. As per quartz- I'd like to think it was sasquatch, but it could be anything from squirrels to crows responsible for it. It seems pretty obvious that something is placing it there. But there's so many species that like shiny things, you'd need to see who's doing it to be sure
@@joniselbe7072 some seem to. Some seem to not notice. My opinion- it depends if they're equipped with the IR. You see, the IR Cameras need to send out IR light to paint the environment with so the camera thats sensitive to it can pick it up. Although humans cannot see IR light, it's documented that some species can, snakes, insects, frogs are some. Sasquatch being warm blooded goes against that line if thinking, but we just won't know conclusively until one lets us study their vision. Anyways, I surmise that there's never a one answer fits all for anything, including sasquatch behaviour. Some are probably more finicky than others regarding cameras. Because I've seen some pretty stunning images.

I think might have an easy and plausible answer to your quartz question. It could be another Big Foot hunter, marking his tracks. Not only more plausible than a mystery monster, but it is highly possible someone has recorded you on one of their trail cams
Really love this series only found you because of episode 1. I am addicted to paranormal and weird on scene type Explorer videos. The quartz rocks you're finding look to be pure quarts lumps which In itself is very very unusual as they aren't tumbled or worked so where are They even coming from. If they were rocks with chips of quartz on I wouldn't be so intrigued. Perhaps sunlight glistening on the quartz attracts birds like magpies who pick them up and drop/fall onto moss. Weird!
@@chinglembanahakpam Steven Seagal once said "This might could have been an illusion." Redundant but still intelligable. Let's see if the tense travel mystery will be resolved by the author :).
I do enjoy watching your episodes especially now the Bigfoot ones. I am a researcher on this subject on the east coast. I do agree with you that they are not a being with supernatural powers, just an animal or hominid that has yet to be discovered. Look forward to seeing more episodes and stay safe!
Animals like squirrels will collect quartz pebbles, a bit like magpies that take shiny things back to their nests. A squirrel or the like could have dropped them.
I like any adventure and as I’ve said before, despite being a skeptic myself, I’ll never understand people who have any kind of militant disdain for looking into something, that just makes no sense and it’s a boring way to live life. That being said I would just like to mention that I find the history in these locations really compelling. Not to distract from your search but I’m really curious about the tree tags and barbed wire fence. I love the history and ruins of old human activity, whether recent or not. Good job on the videos man!
Hi Luke, Thank you for doing a serious study on the subject of Bigfoot. Don't have an answer about the Quartz rocks, have you thought about maybe doing some tree knocking periodically as you move through the forest? Just a thought. Thanks again for your dedication and open-mindedness regarding the subject.
Base Camp Chris has been covering these episodes from first hand accounts of people that have seen/heard them all over the USA. Many months of these are on YT if your interested. I’m sure they exist today and in the past.
Am I the only 1 who could watch this a couple hours? Love the Green Forest, Luke! As for the tags; research tags, sure....some college Bigfoot research project! LOL So, I'm gonna just confess this here since Bigfoot is a different kinda topic for the channel; my spiritual path is witchcraft. Has been for 32 years & while I've seen some interesting things I've never seen Bigfoot. I watch TOGR b/c well, we witches tend to try to spend as much quality time as possible in the woods. We don't want to spend money on crappy gear anymore than anyone else. I'm loving the series. Tuning into these as well as the gear reviews! Luke, just mho but it really doesn't matter why you're in the forest, if you're trying out new gear, it's a gear review! 😁 Seems like talking about something specific, a lil controversial the way you've been doing could be a fun side hustle so to speak as a treat for those of us who have been quiet weirdos so far. You do do a whole host of cryptids just to start. Personally, you are & will always be imho a reasonable, rational, honest lover of the forest & that makes you a good dude in this old witch's book! Peace & Blessings
I'm like you I'm a skeptic about Big Foot! If Big Foot does exist, they are the hide and seek champion of the world. LOL I look forward to seeing what your trail cams find. Till the next adventure.
Keep doing the Bigfoot episodes, I already follow Scott Carpenter, Dave Paulides and Steve Ishdal and their commentary about Bigfoot. Just watch ten to twenty episodes of The Facts by How to Hunt and you'll be a believer. Oh, and there's more out in the wood than just the big hairy guy and his family.
I too, am following these guy’s as well as “Sasquatch Theory”, where Miguel, not only has had encounters, but conducts interviews with landowners, who have these beings on their properties…which is well worth a watch…🙂
Same here - watching David’s Bigfoot series is good homework. And the presence/amount of quartz in particular is tied to several metaphysical and paranormal phenomena including Bigfoot and missing people.
Luke, how's it going? I really enjoy your Bigfoot episodes. I myself, love to entertain the possibilities that this creature could actually exist and tend to be more of a believer that not. I would not discount the abilities of creatures that we really know very little about. There are other species that can see into the infrared. The short list of known creatures are mosquitoes, vampire bats, bed bugs, beetles, some species of snakes, salmon, fox and bullfrogs. Gold Fish can actually see in both ultraviolet and infrared. I would say, just consider the possibility until it's otherwise known, and operate accordingly. Just saying.
I’ve watched you almost since day one…I like all that you do🤗 IMHO the Patterson Gimlin film is pretty good indication these things are real. I have personally experienced a number of incidents that leave me on the side of a believer. I have seen barefoot tracks in snow and mud that were fresh … and very plain where the daytime temperature averaged zero… not where a human would be barefoot! At least not for long… I have heard a horrible scream not more than 15 feet from me in a jack pine thicket you could not see through…I grew up in the woods.. I’ve heard mountain lions and most any other sound in the woods..but never one that made me pee my pants… but this one did. Something picked up the Tongue of our 15ft travel trailer on one hunt At least 4ft in the air spun it around 1/4 turn and slammed it down hard enough to break the tongue off at the frame… while we were in bed..not much I know of in the woods can do that.. this was all up on the California-Oregon border fen 1949- 1962 and I’ve had OTHER incidents in Colorado back in the 60’s and 70’s…I’m well over 80 years old and can’t go out anymore… but I don’t have to be convinced… some day it will all be out in the open.. probably not in my lifetime but it will come to pass. Keep up the good work , be strong and of good courage … stay safe!👍😎😎
Love this adventure your taking, many people don’t believe but I had an experience years ago , I know they exist but the ridicule and ignorance of people stops you from talking about it.
Was anyone else looking behind Luke into the forest while he was doing this? Scanning the woods for movement? Or was it just me? LOL
The last few he did when it was foggy too. Lol thought it was just me.
Always, ever since I started watching Steve Isdahl I always watch the background.

Yeah I was checking the background 😂
I was too. Didn't see anything.
Curious about your encounters, I also grew up in southern Michigan and had a life changing encounter there when I was 8.

Peter S.
Dang, I wish I knew about that resource in Boring, OR. I used to live down the road from there. ButI didn't know squat about BFback then.
Other bigfoot researchers are also finding large amounts of quarts rocks. I follow a few teams and they run in to this frequently.
Same here!
I agree, ravens or Canada jays. @@sherrinewell2105

Me: laughs in magpie...
Good plan though.
Bowerbirds, magpies, black kites and bald eagles are just some of the types of birds that steal trash and other items to make their nests. Magpies and bowerbirds collect baubles and trinkets to decorate their nests. Black kites use it to signify dominance and to scare off intruders
You beat me to it, that's what I came here to say lol
@@barryrosenlieb6092ya and you both beat me, I agree
I agree, birds are most likely the culprit for rocks in the moss.
I've never had an encounter, but listening to eyewitnesses all around the globe, describing similar accounts coupled with the Sierra Sounds is enough for me.

But you know what trail cams DO intrigue? … bears.. so idk about setting up trail cams around your camp
it is more likely that they avoid them because they are a foreign element, this has been known to happen with other great apes, which not only detect these cameras but some also change their pathways to avoid them, this to me seems more likely than the ability to see infrared light.

Yeah, that's what I'd like to see--strength and honor. Stop with the Big Foot.
Crows have been known to move stones and shiny objects to odd places. great video adventure Luke :)

Why is it just quartz and not other rocks though.

My personal experience which happened in Pennsylvania in a huge state park. Anyway when I became a believer the forest had wood knocking during the day. Then I found strange structures.
I think we can conclude that human beings have a propensity for telling lies.
Keep doing this series, please :) I trust you more than the others, and even if you never see anything of bigfoot, it is fun seeing the woods :)
S&H
Beth in Boise.
hi Beth in Boise. i'm in Boise, too. i can tell that you've 'been in these hills some. great comment.
These adventures are fun! I love visiting the "green forest" with you. I love all the moss. I often wonder if bigfoot could just be random bears or something. I'm very much a skeptic too. Keep up the great work. 😊
Thanks for sharing another exciting and awesome video with us Luke. Now we wait to see what the trail cam's will show.
Be safe out there.
Humans pile rocks in some shitty remote places.
So they dont get lost
Great idea to mark each quartz spot and evaluating that map
7:26 Oh that is deliberate and a very good sign of Sasquatch. Quartz on moss! Oh yeah. Cheers my friend. Cheers.
Thanks for all you do to take us on the trip with you. Setting the cameras and retrieving is a feat on its own! ❤ from New Zealand
You must get with Les Stroud. You two would make a great pair in either outdoor activities or searching for Bigfoot. Can't wait for your next Bigfoot search episode.
Exactly what I was thinking. Les Stroud has become a believer, although he won't admit it publicly.
Forestry July 1994 to July 1995 -
Is there like a meaning to this story or?😂
"I just wonder what they are Researching out here".... Love how you slide in the BF comments.... Keep Squatching Bubba!!
Love the Series!
Love your videos , keep up the fantastic work . From Liverpool England 👍
Great! I didn't think ep2 was going to be released so soon!!
Made my day!
Me too!!🎉
Fun to try am Dr Bill bbc😮
Nyennnan😊im😊e
You're blessed to have such a beautiful place to explore. 👍
Man I love the way you think. Logic smarts and Conan sense. 👍 also I think your spot on about the quartz🎯
I love shows about the search for Sasquatch. Thanks for taking us out in the woods with you❣️❤️
Im just wondering why you try to find traces at the BASE of trees if searching for a 7-8 Feet tall creature traces.
@@DustinRea Even though they may not see the light lots of warm bloods have been observed detecting it on way or another, such animals like foxes, canines, ect. All seem to have reacted it the IR in one way or another
@@RhubaruNL i have IR on my phone and it's funny because it makes my dogs eyes shine red, while my old phone doesn't have it and it makes them shine green.
Luke, I very much enjoy your adventures all the time. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I think might have an easy and plausible answer to your quartz question.
It could be another Big Foot hunter, marking his tracks.
Not only more plausible than a mystery monster, but it is highly possible someone has recorded you on one of their trail cams
I hope you are armed out there and love the videos! Be safe, can’t wait to see more!
I have been looking forward to this episode
Great another great adventure thanks Luke
Really love this series only found you because of episode 1. I am addicted to paranormal and weird on scene type Explorer videos.
The quartz rocks you're finding look to be pure quarts lumps which In itself is very very unusual as they aren't tumbled or worked so where are
They even coming from.
If they were rocks with chips of quartz on I wouldn't be so intrigued.
Perhaps sunlight glistening on the quartz attracts birds like magpies who pick them up and drop/fall onto moss. Weird!
Hurry up with the next one!! Lol! Excellent show! True & unbiased! Keep it up & Keep it real! Many thanks for your time & effort on this adventure!
Luke I love how you give credulity to this hunt as all your followers know you have “serious doubts” as to whether big foot exists.
the outdoor cryptid review
It was exists! You can not see the wind, but it’s there and real.
@@JuanitaKersey Your grammar confuses me :).
@@andredaniel9540 same here 😃
@@chinglembanahakpam Steven Seagal once said "This might could have been an illusion." Redundant but still intelligable. Let's see if the tense travel mystery will be resolved by the author :).
Perhaps the quartz rocks are (gastroliths) for high flying raptor species such as kites, turkey buzzards, etc.
A " serious study " ....🤣🤣
Have you ever found a set of steps ,while out in the woods like that? Was just wandering. Love your videos. Keep up the great work.
*wondering
@@planetclownfishbrain7052 U got tha meanin Mr Grammer Police?
Base Camp Chris has been covering these episodes from first hand accounts of people that have seen/heard them all over the USA. Many months of these are on YT if your interested. I’m sure they exist today and in the past.
Love him
Am I the only 1 who could watch this a couple hours? Love the Green Forest, Luke!
As for the tags; research tags, sure....some college Bigfoot research project! LOL
So, I'm gonna just confess this here since Bigfoot is a different kinda topic for the channel; my spiritual path is witchcraft.
Paluides was a corrupt narcotics cop that got busted. He's still scamming tho.
Same here - watching David’s Bigfoot series is good homework. And the presence/amount of quartz in particular is tied to several metaphysical and paranormal phenomena including Bigfoot and missing people.
Same
I'm also crazy.
Are you lonely? Lol you think he’s going to answer you?
It is exciting to see a respected outdoorsman begin his journey into investigating the most elusive beings in the woods and we get a front row seat!
Gimme a break. Front row seat to what? Nothing, only entertaining your fantasies of some creature that exists only in your mind.
@@boogiedaddie My mind doesn’t leave footprints in the snow for miles in -26°F in remote Alaska. 🤪
WHAT?
Very entertaining Luke! Love it. Awaiting #3.
I’ve watched you almost since day one…I like all that you do🤗
IMHO the Patterson Gimlin film is pretty good indication these things are real.
I have personally experienced a number of incidents that leave me on the side of a believer.
I have seen barefoot tracks in snow and mud that were fresh … and very plain where the daytime temperature averaged zero… not where a human would be barefoot! At least not for long…
I have heard a horrible scream not more than 15 feet from me in a jack pine thicket you could not see through…I grew up in the woods.. I’ve heard mountain lions and most any other sound in the woods..but never one that made me pee my pants… but this one did.
Something picked up the Tongue of our 15ft travel trailer on one hunt
At least 4ft in the air spun it around 1/4 turn and slammed it down hard enough to break the tongue off at the frame… while we were in bed..not much I know of in the woods can do that.. this was all up on the California-Oregon border fen 1949- 1962 and I’ve had OTHER incidents in Colorado back in the 60’s and 70’s…I’m well over 80 years old and can’t go out anymore… but I don’t have to be convinced… some day it will all be out in the open.. probably not in my lifetime but it will come to pass.
Keep up the good work , be strong and of good courage … stay safe!👍😎😎
Love this adventure your taking, many people don’t believe but I had an experience years ago , I know they exist but the ridicule and ignorance of people stops you from talking about it.
You can share your experience on my bigfoot sighting with Vic conduff.
