Survivorman Bigfoot | Episode 9 | The Hidden World | Les Stroud

  • Les plants himself in Bigfoot hot spots across North America, collecting stories and experiences from Bigfoot believers, gathering and examining evidence to debunk the mysteries that surround this ancient legend. Les has had his own eerie experiences in the wild, things he can’t quite explain, but he isn’t a Bigfoot believer. It’s not his job to say it’s an alien or an ape. It’s his job to wage war in the middle ground, where a battle is raging for reason. But what happens when reason isn’t enough? Over and over, Les encounters people who approach Bigfoot from a more spiritual angle. Is there an intelligent life-form surviving in the forgotten wilderness of our world? And if so, does it want to be found?

I remember falling asleep to les's bigfoot playlist and being awoken from a dead sleep to the sounds of that howl in the woods. Seriously bone chilling, and for it to be picked up on the microphone means it was far louder for them in person.

Strange you saying that, bcos when I watch these sasquatch videos by the more serious researchers I sometimes sense an awareness sensation even through the phone screen and I'm 3000 miles plus distant. I also sense sasquatch is more of a spiritual being. Able to shapeshift and read thoughts and intents. 🥀😔🙏

@@theshape3988 Sure, I'll have a look. I'm not so much into debunking. I frankly have an opened mind. Pretty easy for me to believe there is or WAS something out there, given Native American lore, the "recent" discovery of the mountain gorillas and my personal experiences with bears in the wilderness. (In 30 years of backpacking and high country fishing I've never SEEN a bear while solo in the backcountry, yet I've seen plenty of bear sign. All the bears I've seen have always been around where people ie food are. Even had one come into camp while in my tent but by the time I got dressed to chase it away, it was gone.)
I'm not a true believer. I'm not a hater. I genuinely like Les' approach and I'm always eager to see the evidence or lack there of. So yeah, I'll check out your channel. Thanks.

It has happened on more than one occasion that crows, in particular, have a tendancy to leave gift for their favourite people. When i was a child i used to give the crows in my garden food (like normal birdsseeds-food). The days i gave one special crow half an oreo, he ALWAYS dropped off something shiney on the porch in the evenings. HOURS later since my gift to him. Crows are highly intelligent and empathic. I am convinced there are more of these intelligent beings out there…

They are grainy and got SHIT-loads of Commercials. BUt, here they are clear, easy to watch non-stop, because on TV, they always cut him off. He'll be doing something, then they break where they shouldn't. I think it has happened on every episode. Thus, I am glad that they are here where we can WATCH THEM LIKE THEY WERE MEANT TO BE SHOWN - not chopped up, commercials to "Force Us" to buy things that we couldn't care less about, and then write-over the end before a new show to preview something else we don't care about.

Yes i agree common sense would indicate believing in a creature that no physical evidence, recorded evidence (todd standing footage is such a joke), and nothing more than anecdotal stories told by people, half of which are batshit crazy, is the only "evidence" available to mankind.

I've never had awkward or unexplained things happen to me in the woods but Les has definitely opened me up to the idea of big-foot sasquatch yeti gigantopithacis or whatever you may call it. and the more you research the more Les hits the nail on the head. From the grass root scientists thinking this could be a previously "thought to be" extinct animal/upright primate - to your paranormal investigators claiming aliens; is quite the spectrum.

Ok at 4:40 when he showed the twisted stick, I freaked out. I live in BC and years ago when I was hiking off in the forest, I found a twisted, circular stick just like that and brushed it off as “oh, someone else happened to walk through here and did this”. When I took it home, I randomly decided to make my own dreamcatcher out of it. Even added my prized eagle feather and my favourite crystals on as decoration. This just gives it a whole new meaning. I’m freaking out.

What an ending to this episode! Wow! Freaky! I have experienced this too. Its crazy freaky that as we sleep in the perceived safety of our tent,, only a thin piece of nylon fabric inches away separates us from.....the unknown. I've had a few experiences in the back country in Utah that I'll always wonder about with something poking at the tent. One time camped deep in the high Uintas something large with what sounded like large feet came out of the brush, walked up to the side of our tent and then tripped over the guy line,, jerking the entire tent which pulled the stake out waking us both and then stomped off into the brush. Neither of us dared unzip the door to look out! Its so weird when it happens when you were in a deep sleep you wake,,adrenaline flowing, ponder awhile listening intently and then dismiss it and go back to sleep when it seems gone and is silent again and you don't feel an imminent threat. You think to yourself,, whatever it was it just seemed curious and meant no hrm. But, I tell you if i E V E R heard that howling screaming sound id pack up everything and hit the trail immediately and not look back.

About 10 years ago I was totally lost. I was feeling distressed because I had absolutely no idea in which direction to go. A magpie landed in a tree and kept cawing at me. It would then fly further ahead, land in another tree, and caw at me again. It kept going back and forth. I suddenly remembered reading in a book before, that if you ever get lost, pay attention to the animals. I decided to follow the magpie. It kept flyer further ahead and would caw until I caught up. I continued to follow it, and indeed I found my way. It was pretty cool ! I had a whole new respect for magpies.

These things mean they trust you man, they respect you. Other people come disrespecting and immediately get chased out of the area. Les comes 3 days after the carnage and all they do is check him out. Pretty sure it's cuz ur a fellow woodsman and you always come with respect and never smell like gunpowder or stolen lunches.
