    This is the third video I have watched on how to get more use out of your stand mixer and I have say.... very cool. Tried mixing the hamburger as opposed to doing it by hand and the results were a more evenly mixed burger with more evenly incorporated ingredients. I'm a subscriber.

    I've had a hand me down mixer for years and didn't realize how much it could do until your video. I love home cooked BBQ, but not a fan of shredding it... now, I know to use the attachment (when the meat is warm). Thank you so much for your videos. I appreciate how you get right to the point.

    I have used the mixer to make brown sugar and it is cheaper than buying brown sugar at the grocery store because white sugar is cheaper than brown sugar. Just mix in molasses - one cup mixed with one tablespoon of molasses makes light brown sugar.

    Unless you have one that came with your mixer, I highly recommend the splatter guard!

    • @ArtFromMyTable
      @ArtFromMyTable  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I purchased one separately, but I have to say, I just replaced my 25 year old stand mixer with a shiny new yellow one! That one came with a splatter guard, and it's even better than the one I got separately a few years ago. Yes, I'm a big fan!

    Hello Friend! I noticed that your mixer head seems to bounce up a bit. You can re-adjust this by using a slotted screwdriver and turn the screw located in the "throat or neck" of the mixer at the rear. Turn it about a 1/4 counter-clockwise and it should adjust the head upwards a tad which will give it more clearance. If you drop a dime in the bowl and turn the mixer on speed 1, the dime should move about a centimeter (the width of your index fingernail) each time the paddle comes back around. This is where the mixer head should be adjusted.

    Hi! I love your videos love the way you explain i work in a caterer that specialise in fish and seafood we do a lot of crab cake, cod cakes, salmon cakes I like to use the professional stand mixer to do them cause we do more than a 140 of cakes of each per week and we mix by hand I think with a stand mixer is gonna go faster but my partners think that these is only good for cakes and not strong enough for what we do ( the code cakes mix tend to be hot, and the crab cakes very cold, we have to take breaks when mixing the machine is not going to have a problem? I think what you say to help me? Thanks

      The kitchen aid is very powerful! I think it will work great for what you need it for. However, they do have a professional series for big batch cooking. Maybe it would be worth looking into. Best of luck!!

    What hand mixer do you use to mix peanut butter? It just sounds like it would be too heavy for that!

    • @ArtFromMyTable
      @ArtFromMyTable  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any hand mixer will do. You just want to only put 1 beater on. Also, the size of your peanut butter jar is important. If it's a standard size, it's fine. And yes, it's strong, so keep the mixer speed low and hang on to the jar to hold it steady. If you have a supersize jar, like Costco, I would just hand stir with a knife. I have 4 growing kids that go through peanut butter like crazy, so that is what I usually do. ;-)

    I tried incorporating cream cheese, sugar and butter on higher speeds; I ended up icing the dishwasher, range and my shirt. lol Your mixer is a lot like mine if not identical, same color and all.

      My husband actually owned this before we got married 19 years ago! So, I don't know exactly how old mine is either, but safe to say at least 20 yrs. The other day I made some dough, and it was "dancing" across the counter. Is it wrong I was secretly excited so I could get a new one? :D

    So you say brown sugar and then don't show anything, just swiftly moved on to the next thing... you did the same thing with the mashed potatoes and again with the peanut butter ... But in fact the peanut butter was just store bought hahaha

    • @ArtFromMyTable
      @ArtFromMyTable  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're very observant! I certainly didn't mean to mis-lead. I thought showing some things served better and talking about some things served better. I've also gotten better at my presentation skills in more recent times! HA! As I mentioned in the video, the peanut butter is about mixing it, and not making it. But, you can make it with fresh peanuts in a Vitamix. :-) Also mentioned, I don't personally mix my natural peanutbutter in the stand mixer, but I know some people do and like it, so I just wanted to mention it. Thanks for watching!
