      So did MEPS mention to females and Males that if you have a medical history like seizures and if you don’t have anymore seizures by a citizen
      doctor so would MEPS accept a recommendation letter from your doctor saying okay this person is cleared to join the Military and I’m a son of a former DEA agent and so would MEPS accept the recommendation letter because I’m gonna visit my Neurosurgeon doctor and I go to the doctors appointment at Saint Francis Hospital in Hawaii and I don’t wear glasses at all and I have a good eye a site and so do you know if MEPS would accept a doctors note 📝 saying that this person is cleared to train and like I said I don’t wear glasses and I don’t need contacts never did so do you know if MEPS would accept a doctors note and so did you know if they said that you could bring a doctors note or can only the recruiter take the recommendation letter from your doctor and so did they say that you can bring a doctors note 📝 and I’m used to the blood drawn though and so does MEPS accept the doctors note 📝? and does it have to be from a doctor that knows you and checked on your stuff for medical 🏥 and saying that he’s cleared and so does MEPS accept a doctors note ?

It is honestly heart-breaking because its something i cant control and it will affect my process for any branch i want to switch to .They sent my meps records to the af surgeon general. Its my last hope to to swear in, and if they say no its this whole thing is pretty much done for me. Im honestly just so bummed out. I really thought I was going to swear in today

    I have a question. I was born 6 weeks early being 1lb 10oz and I had surgery when I was 2 weeks old, and I have a scar on my back from it. Will that disqualify me from passing MEPs? I haven't had any complications since then.
    I told my recruiter about it and he had told me that I needed documentation for the surgery but I've called the hospital about it and they can't find them, since I had the surgery 17 years ago (2004)

    • @AirmanVision
      @AirmanVision  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no clue in that situation. Your recruiter is the one who has to schedule you for MEPS, so if he will still schedule you, just see how it goes at MEPS
      That's tough because if your recruiter is saying you need that info and don't have it and then go to MEPS and tell them it was from surgery, it will be on your record at MEPS and then you wouldn't be able to go through without having that info.
      If the scar is small enough to pass off as "I fell when I was a kid", then you don't need any documentation for that 😬

    • @AirmanVision
      @AirmanVision  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had told my recruiter and he noted it for me. That is weird that he wouldn't just put it on your record because that is not an issue at all.
      I would ask your recruiter to put it in your file, so you can be honest at MEPS and when the doctor asks "have you had any surgeries" you can say "just had my wisdom teeth removed".
      But yes, they do look at your teeth/mouth, but not in depth.
      The doctor will ask you to open and then bite down...that's really it

    What does the blood tests test for ? Do they weight you first thing it towards the end of the tests ?

    • @AirmanVision
      @AirmanVision  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      blood test is to check for a bunch of things like std's, illnesses, disease, drugs, etc.
      They check your height and weight kind of towards the end.
      When you get there you will go into the medical wing of the building and do briefing, blood pressure, hearing, vision, get blood drawn, pee in a cup, interview (in no particular order). Then AFTER all of that is done, you will go into a room with your gender. you will strip down to underwear and bra and they will check height and weight. After that you do the underwear olympics (exercises), then go into a private room alone with the doctor (fully naked with paper robe on). Dr will check breasts and genitals (takes like 2 seconds). Then as long as you pass everything, you're done!

    Would the meps process be stalled or affected in any way if I don’t allow them to look into my medical records? I had childhood asthma with one reported “attack” also at the age of 14 but I haven’t felt anything in years. My recruiter is telling me to not mention it.

    • @AirmanVision
      @AirmanVision  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      NOPE! They do not and can not have access to any previous medical history unless you provide it to them!!!
      (the only exception is if it was though the military, like if someone was a spouse or child or someone who was in and their healthcare was through military care)
      DO NOT mention it!! When you get there they will try to scare you in the briefing saying to bring stuff up....DON'T. 🤐
      Then when you go into your interview with the doctor don't bring up ANYTHING that is not on the paper your recruiter gave you.
      They usually don't ask a ton of questions in the doctor interview, but they just go over your medical history paper a little bit.
      So, if the doctor asks "have you ever had asthma?"
      You say "nope"
      and move on!
      as far as they know, you have never had it and they have no way of finding out UNLESS YOU TELL THEM!
      just be cool and calm. You are who your paper says you are!
      You got this! Best of luck!

    Why no sports bras? I wear a normal bra with a sports over it for support and for comfort.

    • @AirmanVision
      @AirmanVision  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      because it allows the doctor to be able to see more of your body. Sports bra's sometimes cover a lot and the doctor needs to be able to see as much of your back as possible to check your spine alignment
      If that is what you wear, you will just take off the additional sports bra when you get undressed
