Jer CapAlot the majority of it isn’t hard at all. There are a few sections such as shop, automotive, and electric that most people don’t do too well on just because they weren’t taught that stuff in school. Technically that's a lie you don't take the Asbav test in MEPS. you actually take a Practice Test in your Recruiters office. then he or she will set you up with the new PICAT test. which is 3 hours long. that does depend if you want to take the PICAT from your own home or take the Asbav at MEPS.
I took the PICAT at my recruiters' office, and it wasn't timed at all. Got a 71 and have to take a verification test at MEPS they said its like 10 questions.
The minimum ASVAB score required to enlist in the military varies by branch: Army: 31 for high school graduates or seniors, 50 for GED holders Coast Guard: 40 Marine Corps: 32 Navy: 35 Air Force: 36

I'm a nervous wreck and I just got back from MEPS. It's honestly just really boring. They explain everything you need to do, and you're just bouncing from room to room getting physicals and stuff. They only get onto you if you keep talking when you're not supposed to, don't say yes sir, no sir/ma'am, or just overcomplicate instructions given to you.
@captaineric5276 Oh lol I meant that one of the few things they will get mad at you for is if you do not say "yes sir/no sir" to the staff when addressing them.
Then you have to go through a retardedly long process of getting a waiver or try to get whatever disqualified you taken off the record. Followed by a second visit to meps. Of that's after you get all this paperwork and shit.
I had to go to meps 4 times before I got to swear in, nick is right, you will go through a retardedly long process and deal with a lot of stupid gov bureaucracy

Just got done at Tampa MEPS, not a bad experience at all. Follow instructions, end each sentence with "sir", "ma'am", or their rank if they're in uniform. Don't add extra shit to your statements, get to the point. Stand where you need to stand, sit where you need to sit. Just be respectful, don't be a shitbag 20 year old and you'll get treated good.
It’s a lot of hurry up and wait. Just do as you’re told, stay out of trouble, say yes ma’am/sir and no ma’am/sir, and be honest about your medical history. You’ll be fine
I dont think so. Going Air force and not sure if it’s different in other branches but after MEPS you go to basic then technical training before you get deployed anywhere.
Lol the process of being deployed happens during times of national crisis, war, etc. You shouldn’t be concerned about deployment at the time of enlisting
The US Armed Forces should take in for enlistment anyone into the services without any physical examination as there are no people with disabilities!!!

So you don’t take asvab?
I took the PICAT at my recruiters' office, and it wasn't timed at all. Got a 71 and have to take a verification test at MEPS they said its like 10 questions.
Do you have to take the asvab at MEPS if you already took it in highschool?
No as long as you took the test within the last two years and scored higher than a 36
The minimum ASVAB score required to enlist in the military varies by branch:
Army: 31 for high school graduates or seniors, 50 for GED holders
Coast Guard: 40
Marine Corps: 32
Navy: 35
Air Force: 36
@@timbridges1975 Navy is 50 for non graduates/non GED
I go to meps tomorrow, very nervous for the asvab
Good luck !
How did it go? I go in a few days, extremely nervous as well lol
I’ve eaten once in the past 5 days just so I could make weight for the physical. Hopefully not eating doesn’t affect me asvab test
So if going to MEPS would they accept a doctors recommendation letter and that I can be cleared to go into training for the branch that I picked and so are recommendation letters okay from the citizen doctor because I do doctors visits and it’s for my Neuro science and so would it be okay to bring a recommendation letter from the doctor 👨⚕️ and I’m planning to go in the Military and the job I picked is the Navy because I want to do Special Operation/ Special Warfare (SEALS) plus I’m a son of a former DEA agent and so is a doctors note okay to bring to MEPS to have them give the okay for it and than tell that branch that this person is okay to train
Meps where alot of people ruin their military dreams 😂
ohhh you have no idea LMAO
@Fair Criticism crappy understanding lmao
@Fair Criticism seems like it xD
I got myself permanently disqualified because I couldn’t keep my mouth shut 🤐
@@mynameisasecret593 ur recruiter must’ve wanted to slap you silly lmao
Holly mother that breakfast look good, in my hotel they only give a fruit bar, a microwave bagel and some funky drink 😂😂
You had me very confused at “Don’t say yes sir, no sir/ma’am” part, like please elaborate that. And I went to MEPS last year fyi.
@captaineric5276 Oh lol I meant that one of the few things they will get mad at you for is if you do not say "yes sir/no sir" to the staff when addressing them.
@@claytonhawk8512 ahh i gotcha lol, but yeah that is true!
Dude Meps is insane some guy lied and got executed in front of us 😢 rip todd
?
happens.
Rip Todd 😞😞 I miss him bro me n him where like brothers the meps workers r no joke bro 😢
what happens if you get disqualified on the first visit of meps
Then you have to go through a retardedly long process of getting a waiver or try to get whatever disqualified you taken off the record. Followed by a second visit to meps. Of that's after you get all this paperwork and shit.
You just get a waiver if possible. Heard of a guy who went to MEPS SIX TIMES 😂
I had to go to meps 4 times before I got to swear in, nick is right, you will go through a retardedly long process and deal with a lot of stupid gov bureaucracy
@@123kalbrecht what stopped you?
I’m at the hotel right now. Tomorrow I have my physical. Wish me luck!
How’d it go?
@@dakotaglackin1045 it went well, had to get a waiver for a back injury that I had 10 years ago. On October 12th I’m shipping out to OSUT at Fort Benning. 30th Infantry AG!

I’m scared I’ll get disqualified for depression / anxiety / ADHD
Any updates
Same I have adhd
_ LordGarfunkel _ but do you take medications if not then you’re oh okay to join, Have you talk to a recruiter
Clever Python You could still join but you have to be off medications but if you’re never taking medications in your life then you’re OK to join
i just got qualified and i took the enlistment oath yesterday and i have adhd but just say no and i was there 6am to 5pm lol
so theres another asvab if you passed the first one i thought there was only 1
If you already took the asvab you won't be taking it again.
The only way they'll make you take it twice is if you retake it after taking it the first time and get a higher score than your original
That makes no sense . They’ll make you take it again if you take it again and get a higher score than last time . How does that make sense
@@CliptasticCinema they want to make sure you didn't score higher out of luck
Yeah it's a verification test. Just learned about it myself. To everyone worried DON'T BE. If you didn't cheat and you study some before you head off you'll be fine. Apparently most of the questions are the exact same as the test you took before.
Ngl as someone who’s more about the action then just sitting around all day talking and stuff, this is really discouraging me from joining the marines unfortunately
The military is not for everyone
This has to be a joke😂
Did you enlist?
Did not attend that. When did they start? Same as ITR?
I have a metatarsal I didn't heal right when I was 15 (I took off the cast).

I broke my left hand pinky and finger next to hit by punching a immovable object (my truck) was drunk and mad at the time. Didnt get a cast i have full movement. I also broke my right hand. Not as bad. Same thing drunk and mad. Did get a cast and healed fine. Both were after my first 6 years. Tried to go reserves. I was too fat. But i said nothing about my hands.

@Layne Young army
My recruiter just got the papers and my transcripts and said that I might be able to go next week
Angel Aesthetics good luck bro i just got back long assss day 🤦🏾♂️
Same I'm waiting for my dad to sign it and I'm heading to meps either monday or tuesday
@African my recruiter told me it was going to be SUPER boring especially bc of the COVID-19 stuff happening 😩
At least I won’t have to take the asvab again
Just got done at Tampa MEPS, not a bad experience at all. Follow instructions, end each sentence with "sir", "ma'am", or their rank if they're in uniform. Don't add extra shit to your statements, get to the point. Stand where you need to stand, sit where you need to sit. Just be respectful, don't be a shitbag 20 year old and you'll get treated good.
Will i have to retake the asvab if i already took it with a passing score during school?
ASVAB Scores are valid for one year. If the test is more than a year old you will have to retake the test.
do they examine your feet? specifically your toenails?
if you have ugly toenail they will definitely reject you
@@lizarraga-9759 do you think i could get a waiver?
I got pdq for eczema 15 years ago can i get a waiver?
andrewnauth101 15 years ago ? I don’t think you can, 15 years Is a bit of years
It’s a lot of hurry up and wait. Just do as you’re told, stay out of trouble, say yes ma’am/sir and no ma’am/sir, and be honest about your medical history. You’ll be fine
Seeing this as I’m in the hotel the night before MEPS
Bruh how are all you people on youtube right after MEPS? I got sent straight to BCT after MEPS😅
I swore in at this same meps 2 days ago
Hurry up and wait... Don't forget to use the hand sanitizer...
Is this after basic of before?
This is before
Would they send you straight to deployment after MEPS???
I dont think so. Going Air force and not sure if it’s different in other branches but after MEPS you go to basic then technical training before you get deployed anywhere.
Lol the process of being deployed happens during times of national crisis, war, etc. You shouldn’t be concerned about deployment at the time of enlisting
Heading to MEPS Wednesday.
Can I join with flat feet?

Did you need a consult too?
How do people get to meps ?
Find a recruiter near you , once you get in contact with one , everything will lead to MEPS.
I’m going next week
When do u take the drug test
nearish to the end before you do height and weight. at least that’s how mine was

The US Armed Forces should take in for enlistment anyone into the services without any physical examination as there are no people with disabilities!!!
SoldierUSArmy I understand what you are trying to say, but many medical conditions can become problematic and even deadly in a combat environment.
Meps was so boring .
Young people dying and volunteering for geopolitical reasons that they don’t even know about !!

Don't be shy be yourself and you'll find people who are like you but don't talk about stupid stuff or you will get yelled at 😂I had fun a lot of other people didn't. MEPS is what you make it. Enjoy yourself. It was boring for a while since it was a lot of waiting but that's why you gotta make conversation with those around you. 🫡🔥Good luck
If I want to enlist and I have hypothyroidism, which is the procedure? bringing all the exames proving my condition is stable is enough?
Your gonna have to talk to your recruiter about that
Yeah bro bring all your documentation of the doctor saying it’s stable and u should be fine
So you take the asvab twice before meps and when u get there ?
When do u take the drug test
Like wat time
For me it was after the hearing and vision test so probably around 7
We had to take it before 12pm.
