you never said who did the tune, did you figure out how to change the maps and what they are to maximize the driving potential? that would have been interesting.

Please PLEASE take this car to Litchfield to sort out your tuning. The fact that you had a 4.25 map on a car that had a stock exhaust on it makes me nervous. That you’ve changed the exhaust means you need to have that map redone or you could get all kinds of knocks in timing. It’s so important to get this aspect of GTRs right.
Also mate, if you run it on the stage 4 map you MUST put VMax fuel in it, or worst case Tesco 99 RON. Don’t run it on RON 95 in stage 4. It’s such a good condition car and running the wrong map with the wrong fuel type could cause things to go sideways so fast. Please let me know you’ve read these comments :-(

The car was probably put back to stock parts to be sold. No way would anyone tune to that level without any bolt on parts.

@@v4skunk739 yeah that’s what I’m saying the garage clearly didn’t know before they sold it. No one maps to stage 4 without a decat / sports cat. They will have just sold the bolt ons

Looks like an EcuTek ROM. I run that on my 370z Nismo. They do one for the GT-R too. It's actually quite similar. You probably want to see what the different maps are set up for. Mine's got:
1. Base map (extra power)
2. Map 1 + advanced traction control
3. Map 2 + pops n bangs
4. Valet map / low octane back up map

Been going to Auto Torque for years now for servicing,was there at the opening day .Finally glad to see all the you tubers jumpin on board and giving them credit .
Who did tune it? What was the tune you were using? And how come you never new about the so famous and granturismo spoken graphics on the media menu? I mean... there is so many things that don't add up to a gtr owner...

Man this is why I have a hard time buying used sports cars. You ever know how it was driven or what’s been done to it. Even if you take the tune off there is still a footprint.

Paul, if you want true GTR specialist, you should take it to the JM Imports. I guess you would left car there for mods and went home by train 😀

When you do a launch it will blow your mind. I did mine when I did one 😃 only done it twice and I’m not doing it again for a long time. There are no foreign noises from it and everthing is as it should be.

Definitely been tuned with ECUTek . Nissans tend to use the ECUTek system when it comes to tuning
That's weird, map but no parts changed other than exhaust, get it to Litchfield, I have owned a 4.25 for over 4 years now, I'd be concerned.

Tbh, he should have received all the paperwork as part of the history, when he bought the car. Very surprised he hasn’t, which make me question the history and quality of the maintenance before he owned it. Admittedly it all looks good on the inspection, but you’d expect a thorough history upon purchase at the very least.
I don't think they'd hammer you over an ecu tune. Forged engine and big turbos! 100%.

You haven't owned many Nisans then lol. A few 240s to my name and they always had problems. Mainly body and paint problems.

I can understand why! Because you can just mash your foot to the floor in sports mode release brake and the car goes just as fast as a proper launch in "R" mode.

@@KenoLawrence No because you need to be in correct settings, R mode on gears and TC off. Then the car can be put into launch mode by holding the brakes then pressing the accelerator the car will hold revs at like 4k.

@@kells77 Stuff starts rusting on all cars with in 6 months like suspension parts. If chassis or wheel arches start rusting you have serious problems though.
