To remove the bell housing, the primary cats have to come off. Not the other way round like I mentioned - the pressure of being on camera and that's why I'm in the office 😄
How much does it cost to remove the primary cats ? How would it pass an MOT without any cats ( I assume you would also need the secondary cats removed to get the noise/power of stage 4.25) ?

What’s the servicing intervals of factory stock vrs a 4.25 setup? What additional costs would apply based on everyday driving. Would I be roughly right based on the info of a stock version being around £70k and this having £20k of upgrades on top of that meaning £90k total however then after applying the negative of it being modified and of course having more engine/component wear so on you take off around £20k. As “most” people taking a risk in buying an already highly strung stock car would worry about taking further risk with a highly modified one. Would be interesting to know the full extend of the downsides that’s all
I agree 100% my G37IPL had column paddles, my 2018 Q50 AWD Red Sport has wheel mounted paddles, my 09 GT-R has colum mounted paddles. And from driving both for 3+ years I can say colum mounted paddles are the way to go.
Just what is the difference between Stage 2, 3, & 4? I don't think there is a set definition of stages. My R35 makes 750 WHP on petrol and 800+ WHP (830 IIRC) on 65%-75% alcohol. Larger Turbos, injectors, & intercooler. Plus a flex fuel kit & EcuTec tune, downpipes & Ti Greddy exhaust. So what "Stage" would you call that? I really have no clue.
Any chance you could do a modified Porsche Boxster? They have the right formula, pedigree, and with the exclusion of the 4 cylinder 718; an amazing exhaust note with the right exhaust. They are the perfect baby supercar especially on the used market. What do you think?
yah having driven a stock gtr a few times, its actually pretty slow out of the box, esp for the claimed hp numbers, and def needs a lot of tuning/upgrades... the good thing about it is you can go crazy and mod it fast and furious style and not feel guilty about de-classing the car like you would a porsche bc its just a nissan.
For the love of god please don't use stage 1, 2, 3 or 4.25 to describe a car. That is so stupid. Especially when it's slow as hell. Stock, fbo, upgraded turbo or fully built are the correct terms.

@@user-1500HP The primary cats can be troublesome as often studs shear off in the turbos which results in extra labour.

Nissan should have kept the shift paddles fixed to the column where they belong.
