Exactly, this game has such great themes, it's difficult to understand all when you're young but it definetely impact me too, the great places you visit in the game made me dreamin. My favorite snes game with Secret Of Mana
True for me too, however I knew at the time just how deep it all was :) Although for me to the depth was not just in the dialogue, it was in the music, and all the little things that are hard to explain.
I remember starting the game back then and thinking it was something like Zelda at first. After a while, however, I was under the spell of this strange story: The six mystical statues, guarded by cruel demons... Gaia, Freedan and Shadow... a trip around the world... Slave Traders... a blue crystal ring... The princess and Hamlet the pig... A vision of our world in the temple of Angkor Wat... the jackal that hunts us forever until his cruel end in a fiery death... and the lessons of friendship and heavy losses... The Tower of Babel... All this, threatened by this strange chaos comet, called Dark Gaia in the game, which seems to be a weapon from ancient times and changes the face of the earth and its inhabitants horribly every 800 years. My goodness, I really must play this game again.
Gorgeous rendition. I never thought a lot about the piece while playing the game but like this, with real instruments it’s a whole other thing. Just beautiful.
Yoooo Illusion of Gaia! This turned out awesome! I'll be honest, hearing this makes me excited if Orchestral Fantasy ever touches on In the Earthen Womb. :O
Hamlet and Turbo (Soul Blazer) were the two characters that introduced me to the concept of loss at a young age. That continued through the rest of my life. Thank you for this.
@@ZetaCancri It's good, but the allure of OF here is that he tries to nail a song as close to the original as possible. The original ItEW had a dreamlike quality to it, while the guitar version is more of a rock ballad ending credits feel.
I think we would end up disappointed. These things are part of our childhood, no remake can do them justice because we're grown ups now, and it'll never be magical again like it was back then.
@@TerranigmaQuintet Sadly, I agree. I highly doubt they are able to pull it off. That said, they could just re-release them as a whole collection in their original state. I'd be all over it!
In many ways it was a very strange game. Regardless, it was fun and you'll have a good time playing it (assuming you don't get to frustrated trying to beat those darn vampires).
It was a rare game. I got it for Christmas and it is a great game!! If you have a perfect working controller. Do NOT try to play this game with a broken L or R button
Half the bosses were hardcore yeah. And I do mean half, it was always : one super-hard boss, one normal boss, one super-hard boss, one normal boss and so on.
@@janthummler3548 Mu in general was an absolute nightmare. I think I stopped playing at that point. It's a great game but man I did not have the patience for that.
The only chanel on youtube that I know of that get 0 dislike on all its vidéos. And its well deserved. Your the place to got when i want to listen to some chill videogames music to get rid of my stress.
In The Earthen Womb is, to this day, a track I use for self-reflection and inner healing. Largely thanks to the memory scene. The track here though, it's up there with Leaves From The Vine (from ATLA) in terms of music cues that unfailingly send me back to the moment I first truly understood their respective scenes.
Wooow amazing, I really love this game so much and this flut is awesome ! This sounds so... sad and it work very well with the meaning of the original music !
I Remember the scene where you meet your mother in a dream and she asks about the evil or benefic intentions of the comet. Everything depends of the perception 'cause even bad things can make it good after some times
I really hope that happens. Both have great music and definitely deserve a cover. At least Breath of fire Forest song and Fire Eyes from Evermore... not to mention tons of others.
This game had such mature themes in it. As a child, it changed the way I looked at life and death. I never really thought about it that way until now.
Well said. Absolutely the case for me as well.

I still remeber Hamlet's sacrifice.
Quintet's games were unique and we still haven't seen their like since.
Tall trees replaced by buildings, rivers replaced by roads... No matter what kind of world people have, if they think they're happy, they'll be happy.
Happiness is an Illusion.
When Will came to his senses he was holding the Gorgon flower...

Man, I instantly felt the heartache again, when hamlet sacrificed himself :(
Well done
Indeed, Hamlet was well done ;)
@@romanwolf0072 Oooohhh! You're going to hell xD

Extremely underrated game and soundtrack IMO.
Poor Hamlet...

Man, if this channel does more Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia, I'm in for keeps.
Always love coming back to give this a listen, puts life into perspective.

No, Hamlet!
The Great Depression --> Deep Sadness --> The Big Sad
And then the Huge Loss
Hamlet and Turbo (Soul Blazer) were the two characters that introduced me to the concept of loss at a young age. That continued through the rest of my life. Thank you for this.
Love, love, love everything you do.
I'll throw a vote in for Earthen Womb song from Illusion of Gaia !
This is amazing but...but please. Please In the Earthen Womb please please please. Nobody has done a half decent cover of it
you've never heard Famicom guitars version?

Wishing and hoping he does. That would be amazing no doubt.
You nailed it. :)
Would love to see some In the Earthen Womb and To the New World, down the line.
We need more Illusion of Gaia covers!!! This was amazing!
I really wish they would announce a remake for Illusion of Gaia/Time. Or actually why stop there? Remake the entire SNES Quintet series.
I don't trust S-E to do this justice whatsoever.

Totally, he's always making the songs that other don't do. I'm so glad this channel exist!
Indeed

Game is great if you can get around the baaaad translation. It also has a patch that restores the final boss into a gauntlet of fights.
Have you gotten to play it since you posted this?
lovely. one of the most haunting songs in the game
Beautiful rendition of a song I don't remember from a game I played multiple times
such a fantastic cover. I love Gaia and Terranigma, great games indeed. Thanks for upload, honestly would not mind more from this game.
This game was actually pretty difficult at times. I normally don't die often in rpgs, but I remember dying all the time in this one!
the dang vampire twins got me bad >:(

Hi, this is a most incredible song; the cover is very good; and so is the game!
That's really good. Hearing this version kinda makes me want to hear covers of the Kamui themes in Okami.
I’ve loved this channel ever since I found it always getting my 👍

What a magnificent song and cover! Can you do In The Earthen Womb? That song formed my perspective on life
Best song from Illusion of Gaia. I used to get emotional listening to it when I was young!

will there ever be any Breath of Fire or Secret of Evermore on the channel?

Im paraphrasing here, but-only people think that being human is the best form.
This is the song I play when I have to burry my dog under a tree
Suddenly smells like bacon in here.

Within the Earthen Womb. Please?
what is the instrument you are playing (wood wind flute, recorder looking thing)
Dude, you play like every instrument on earth, put a ton of work in every video and yet, get so little views. what the hell
Great music, but still my least favorite game in the trilogy. Terranigma>Soul Blazer>Illusion of Gaia.
