A fantastic arrangement of an amazing song. You nailed it and even managed to give it a Celtic feel with the flute you were playing. Splendid job dude.
This note-perfect adaptation of the SoM field music is the reason I immediately subscribed to Andrew's channel as soon as I picked my jaw off the floor.
perfect job, man. i normally never enjoy these types of videos because the people that arrange the music take liberties with the songs. but not you. you played it exactly the way the song was in the game. amazing stuff! i know the comment is years late, but thanks for this.
This has to be the best cover of this tune on the internet by far. So many layers and timbres that fit so well. Making that electric guitar sound like that was the icing on the cake. Well done!
Omigosh I'm right there back making a Rabbite get WHACKED with my sword! Superb arrangement. This sounds so great with high-end instruments. Just some superb work was being done in the early to mid 90's on limited consoles. When they're given new life here with modern treatments using high-end libraries/instruments and a skilled touch you can really hear the quality of the original compositions. Bravo Andrew Thompson!

I´ve played the game 10 times in my life so far, so I can say I know a lot about the characters, story and music etc. This is a beautiful arrangement, and it sounds like the real OST. Well done!!
I love how precise your songs are to THE GAME MUSIC. Stick to it brother, we're all glad to hear what we remember from playing video games, and remixes can be great, but some of us prefer when it's pristine like this. Thank you! =)
While I'm floored by the exceptional quality of this cover, I am even more thoroughly impressed by the assortment of instruments. He's playing on what I think is an Alto Viola da Gamba (the smaller upright string instrument), and I think a tenor Viola da Gamba (the bigger of the two). I only know of them because of my music history course in college, and I'd never even heard one before I stumbled upon this recording. A-freaking-plus on that, buddy!
Wow. I didn't grow up with Nintendo games, I'm visiting on recommendation from Rikk Wolf o f the Robot Co-Op channel (Incognito Cinema Warriors, originally), who said you are way better than what Nintendo produced for their 21st century re-release of The Secret of Mana. I guess these days you really have to show that you actually played all the instruments. Wow. You are your own session chamber orchestra. Thank you :)
I have gone back through all of your videos and though I do have many favorites I can say without a doubt thus far the two pieces that are not only true to the original but truely stir the childhood feelings are this and Terra from ff6. But this just has every complex sound so perfect. Just bravo!
If the soundtrack to the remake doesn't sound exactly like this I will be much sad. Incredible performances. Kudos, friend. You deserve WAY more subs and views.
I just discovered your videos yesterday. I love this music; it shaped a part of my imagination as a child, and it's great to hear your instrumental versions of these masterpieces. Please keep it up and keep posting them here!
Robot Co-Op sent me here from their let's play of the remake. I have to agree with them that your version crushes the arrangement they did. You have a new subscriber and a new fan.
The PS4 & PS Vita remake of Secret Of Mana should've used your covers :). Amazing work.... I may be a rectangle with eyes, but this treasure of a music made a pair of ears grow on my corners...
Not even Square Enix themselves could surpass your mix-that bowed instrument just gives it that fantastic added touch. Hearing this also makes me wonder, are you familiar with Panzer Dragoon Saga?
A fantastic arrangement of an amazing song. You nailed it and even managed to give it a Celtic feel with the flute you were playing. Splendid job dude.
it's amazing how true this is to the original
Yeah. The SNES soundboard is surprisingly good in some cases.
Every piece he does, too!
Especially compared to the official remake
You can listen to the original chiptune, and this immediately after, and this literally just sounds like the original track come to life. 💙
Indeed!
The instrumentation here strikes me that Super Mario Odyssey's "Cascade Kingdom" would be a natural fit for you to cover.
This is great! I like how it's close to the original version.
I agree! I almost couldn't tell the difference at first. The acoustic instruments really give the piece a beautiful colour.
Didn't expect to find you here, lol. Good taste, Yuta!
oh my god. this is the best thing that has ever happened.
I agree
The best Version of this Song, i've ever heard. ❤❤❤
Like hearing the song for the first time after falling into the creek. Hits me profoundly.
This note-perfect adaptation of the SoM field music is the reason I immediately subscribed to Andrew's channel as soon as I picked my jaw off the floor.
This piece is my childhood
元の音源に限りなく近い演奏で素晴らしいと思います!
I will never get bored of this song. Certainly one of the best game pieces I ever heard.
Wonderful...just...God, this is perfect!
This is how all orchestral arrangements of game music should be!
perfect job, man. i normally never enjoy these types of videos because the people that arrange the music take liberties with the songs. but not you. you played it exactly the way the song was in the game. amazing stuff! i know the comment is years late, but thanks for this.
I like coming back to this on occasion, and gosh... it's still so legit to hear the intricacies of these musical motifs/lines brought to life
Thanks! I've been digging your Otamatone covers by the way!
This is so amazing. My childhood in 3 minutes 38 seconds. Thank you for making this.
This is what the remake should've sound like in the HD version, bravo 👏
Still the best cover of this track with the most faithful to the game soundtrack sound I have found on the internet. This one is SPOT on.
This is still my favorite music channel.
One of the best secret of mana covers if not the best.
This is what my childhood Saturday mornings sounded like.
can't get over how good this is!
I played through SoM when I was out of school for a week with the chicken pox. I was 11 years old but watching this video smells like calamine lotion.
Wow, that guitar sounds great.
Orchestral Fantasy killing it yet again.
This has to be the best cover of this tune on the internet by far. So many layers and timbres that fit so well. Making that electric guitar sound like that was the icing on the cake. Well done!
This is my favorite video on youtube
This is the best cover of this song I can find. Bravo!

How many instruments does this dude know to play omg what a great talent!! And I can't even play one of them haha
Best cover ever made
The amount of talent this dude has in just his pinky is... ridiculous
One of my favorite jams in the entire game. I can still remember the magic when I first played it as a kid...
Man, memories.
This guy understands what great and deeply rich musical compositions are crammed into these old snes rpg soundtracks
Just some superb work was being done in the early to mid 90's on limited consoles. When they're given new life here with modern treatments using high-end libraries/instruments and a skilled touch you can really hear the quality of the original compositions.
@@adamdesanti6713 might I recommend you check out MET's heavy metal Mega Man X(v3)
控えめに言っても最高…!!

LOL! I listened to this song looping way too many hours as the young man I used to be. Honestly, I loved hearing it again!
Got the chills man, this is by far one of the best (if not the best) covers of that song on the entire interwebs
Still the best version of this I’ve ever found.
Don't know how anybody could hate this, I liked it and hit the like button. The haters are probably jealous cause you are so good.
Omgosh. I can hear the grass slashing noises as I listen to this.
I´ve played the game 10 times in my life so far, so I can say I know a lot about the characters, story and music etc. This is a beautiful arrangement, and it sounds like the real OST. Well done!!
Best song in secret of mana! The perfect song to on an adventure!
This is the best cover of any song ive ever heard
Favourite video game brought to life. Genius
How have I not heard your work before? Remedying that immediately.
I love how precise your songs are to THE GAME MUSIC. Stick to it brother, we're all glad to hear what we remember from playing video games, and remixes can be great, but some of us prefer when it's pristine like this. Thank you! =)
Freaking amazing! Easily my favorite tune from Secret of Mana.
Some stuff really takes you back into your childhood.
And some shit DeLoreans your ass back into the past with 1.81 giga watts of time bending power.
Thank you nerrel for forcing me to watch this in your saw trap my life is changed forever
this is certainly the best mixed and produced version of this song I've heard and it definitely shows
Your channel fulfills a need I didn't even know I had. Thank you.

This is some next level stuff right here. Incredible!
I'll be listening to this one a lot for a long time. Thanks for making. It's beautiful!
Very nice, almost the same to the original, different from all orchestras, simple and better.
Love it!
This is gorgeous to the ears
wha so fresh, its original feeling of the music, bravo
I have gone back through all of your videos and though I do have many favorites I can say without a doubt thus far the two pieces that are not only true to the original but truely stir the childhood feelings are this and Terra from ff6. But this just has every complex sound so perfect. Just bravo!
This needs more Views!
If the soundtrack to the remake doesn't sound exactly like this I will be much sad. Incredible performances. Kudos, friend. You deserve WAY more subs and views.
They should have paid this guy to do it
This didn't aged well
MASTERFUL
10/10 absolutely fantastic
meanwhile, those donkeys that did the remake, had you feeling like you were in an italian restaurant whenever you entered the mystic forest.
Unbelievable. I was looking for just THIS! Besides, how can a man master so many different instruments? You're amazing!!
This channel deserves so much more love and recognition. Damn fine work!!
Wow, this sounds way better than the PS4 version.
Okay, now we got actual Renaissance instruments... this is getting nuts
Oh my God. Thank you. I am listening to this in the shower right now and it's very relaxing to my mind, but energizing to my body!
Dude.. that was masterfully done.
I can't get enough of this. Oft chill to it.
A true professional.
Who could dislike this? A masterpiece perfectly executed
this is the kind of thing that makes me wish i would have kept playing an instrument when i was a kid lol awesome job!
Your videos really deserve a lot more views, your playing is always amazing.
I found your channel a few days ago am enjoying your music immensely. I subscribed too.
You managed to retain the kinda chaos of the song too. I always felt this song was just on the verge of falling out of time
The only things missing are the skips in the melody from hitting an enemy
I just discovered your videos yesterday. I love this music; it shaped a part of my imagination as a child, and it's great to hear your instrumental versions of these masterpieces. Please keep it up and keep posting them here!

The PS4 & PS Vita remake of Secret Of Mana should've used your covers :). Amazing work.... I may be a rectangle with eyes, but this treasure of a music made a pair of ears grow on my corners...
This is an example of rearrangement that should be in the ps4 remake.
i will cry...
awesome... all the fans will be love this song...

Robot Co-op brought me here and boy am I happy. This is great.
I LOVE this! Robot Co-Op sent me here. Subbed,

This is pure excellence
Nailed it! Amazing work!
Not even Square Enix themselves could surpass your mix-that bowed instrument just gives it that fantastic added touch.
Hearing this also makes me wonder, are you familiar with Panzer Dragoon Saga?
Dude you're giving me nostalgic chills stop it 😂 I think you most definitely nailed this and what the forest taught me. Dude you're an artist :)

Amazing! And imho flawless, really lovely, thanks!!
