Since many of you enjoyed this film, I’d recommend you go ahead and check out my Kenner Alien vs. Predator series. I have a playlist on my channel for it for those who are interested. Thanks for the positive feedback! I’m glad many of you enjoyed this film.
There's no need to wonder. The Predator 2 scene is here in this short film. Unless it was edited in and reuploaded after you posted this comment a year ago.
Thank you for this good sir lol. I was honestly pretty pissed when they had to throw the pistol in Prey. Who wouldn't have wanted an extended Pirates vs Predator movie! Well done 🍻
Honestly they should make it a movie, but I’d imagine they would have to add a lot to the short comic so it could be a full length movie. Like maybe show the pirates actually stealing the treasure from the church or why the Predator was even there in the first place.
Thanks! I figured the Predators soundtrack was perfect for the scenes, especially during the fight between Greyback and the pirates and when Captain Raphael is shot.
I wish that were the case, but it looks like the plot is different. It would be cool if maybe the sequel to it would be Predator 1718, but only time will tell if it’ll ever be made.
I remember seeing first Predator movie in the theater. When the Yautja was revealed their was a collective gasp from everyone. The impact that movie at the time was unreal. The last time a movie made an audience feel that way was the first Star Wars movie. Utterly stupifying.
Ok this was amazing! The voice acting was spot on and adding the ending of Predator 2 was a nice touch! I really like how you had Greyback bury Raphael with the treasure and the sword Grayback gave him! It shows how seriously the Predators take the code of honor! Fabulous!
Future Prior to the film's release, Trachtenberg stated in June that there are discussions for additional installments to be developed after the release of Prey, saying their intent was to "do things that have not been done before" in the franchise. In August, Bennett Taylor expressed interest in reprising his role as Raphael Adolini as "the pirate he is" in a potential prequel to Prey, serving as a loose adaptation of the 1996 comic book Predator: 1718 in which Adolini was introduced, reading it as research before shooting Prey, having aimed to "bring as much of [Raphael] into Prey that made sense".
It would be awesome to see this comic as a movie and see the same Predator become an Elder from a lowely hunter. Human doesnt always have to win and would give a fresh approach
That's crazy LOL I just not too long ago looked at the comment book storyline I like how you did that that's what's up good one I watch that movie prey the new Predator movie this weekend it was good I have watched it twice already I always been a fan of these movies I have them all
I’m planning on making another one from the other comic that involves the Super Predators from Predators. I really hope someday they find a way to make this a full length film.
Probably heard it from some kind of myth or legend. The comic just has them say it with no explanation. Greyback’s figure comes packaged with that name due to it being mentioned in the comics.
Nicely done jobber. You did better than Shane Black. I wish you coudlve done it with people, start a patreon and you can do it! Youve done us proud brother.
They can't. They would have to contact Dark horse comics for the rights and permission to use their scripts. I don't believe that they would actually get the rights.
I used the figure of Bartholomew Roberts from Assassins Creed and I took off the head and placed it on the body of Benjamin Hornigold, also from Assassins Creed, so it could match the appearance of Captain Raphael Adolini.
I’m glad that the comic showed us how the Elder acquired the pistol and where he learned to say “Take it” when he passed on the pistol to the lieutenant in the second film.
I used to do them in the past, so I may give it another shot. Sometimes I enjoy doing puppetry more because it’s faster, but it would look good as a stop motion film.
Sadly no. It's going to be about a native American woman who defies the social norms and patriarchy while her people and the white man are being hunted down by the predator. But don't worry she will prevail thanks to her magic powers that apparently has, just like live action Mulan did.
@@shadowdragonlord2295 I doubt there will be any magic bullshit in Prey (yes that's the movie's name). Since magic has never been a thing in Predator. Seriously I think Disney is smart enough to know throwing magic into a sci fi franchise which mainly involves an alien hunting people for sport with highly advanced tech and every other movie has had no traces of magic and the characters have always had to rely on their brains, actual skills or actual weapons to defeat the Predators would totally ruin the whole thing about what makes the Predator franchise Predator. Did Lilo and Stitch have any stupid magic in it despite being sci fi and having aliens in it? No so I doubt they will throw magic into Predator.
@@robonaught Meh at this point I'm half expecting them to retcon the lore just so that magic is a thing. Or they could defy all expectations and actually make decent Predator movie.
Actually this was pretty good. I see you said the exact words from the comic book. But one thing, when the Captain was shot in the back you should of put a red spot on his back , other than that it was perfect ! What was your movie buget for making this ? 😁
My budget was roughly about $75 since I bought most of the figures off eBay and Amazon. Thanks for the feedback, looking back at the film I do wish I did do some things different, especially with the effects, but I’m glad a lot people are enjoying it now.
Hey man that's not the grey back mask what happened is that neca put on this figure the predator kindred comic from dark horse mask you know that red one the real grey back mask is the gold one
What i mean is that mask may not be canon although neca released a ultimate grey back with the red mask so it might be canon although in predator 2 he had no mask
Hmmm, I never knew that. That may be the case seeing as the mask in the comic is more streamlined when we actually see Greyback, but I do prefer the look of the other mask since its more jagged and unique. I know that the ultimate Elder that’s going to be released by Neca still features the mask, but more rusty and worn.
In the beginning, when onli the feet of the pirates are seen wiggling, I laughed so fucking hard...last time I laughed that hard was at some Tim n Eric skid. But once I got over it and the voice acting began...I was kinda invested. Good job!

The toy of Color died first bruh 😂
This is 1718 and prey was predators first hunt on earth and that was 1719
This was very enjoyable 100% comic book accurate and the ending was a masterpiece cheers!
For anyone wondering, that is the same predator that gave Glover the Miquelet Lock Pistol in Pred 2. He was now an elder in Pred 2
Exactly. He became the Main Man. A General.
There's no need to wonder. The Predator 2 scene is here in this short film. Unless it was edited in and reuploaded after you posted this comment a year ago.
Omg ok big brain everyone know that already 😩

Immersion was broke for me when the flintlock pistol fired twice in succession. 😂 Otherwise, better than 90% of Hollywood movies.
Thanks for the feedback! Really appreciate it! Honestly, idk why I played the sound effect twice when the gun fired off lol.
@@mr.kaijurex I think it was to show a different angle on the shot
They absolutely need to do a movie on this story. It would be great.
Thank you for this good sir lol. I was honestly pretty pissed when they had to throw the pistol in Prey. Who wouldn't have wanted an extended Pirates vs Predator movie! Well done 🍻
Wow dude I can't believe Hulu picked this up. Good job.
Predator 1718 should definitely come out. Would like to see him vs jack sparrow.

Jack sparrow and the elder hell yeah 👍👍👍👍 I'd be down for a 45 min video 💯I'd watch 😁 I got my Pop corn and Pepsi!!
@@drewrosecrans9728 yea same ... Would like to see predator preying on pirates and sinking ships before getting to jack sparrow.
Awesome job, we really need a movie made based on this comic 👹👌🏼
Thanks! I agree that it needs to be made into a movie, but at least for now fans have this adaptation to enjoy.
Too late. They killed Raphael in Prey.
@@MEAT_CANNON That was not him 🤷🏻♂️⁉️
The Golden Angel! I've always liked this story. Great job on the movie. I can't wait to see more.

Shiver me timbers, that was first class movie....better than Predator 4
Good job brother. Goes to show the impact of a soundtrack.
Thanks! I figured the Predators soundtrack was perfect for the scenes, especially during the fight between Greyback and the pirates and when Captain Raphael is shot.
What a goddamn masterpiece I enjoyed this more than the other predator stop motions I see

Predator 1718 is the story about the early years of Greyback, during the Golden Age of piracy.
That’s why I really like the short comic and it does have a lot of potential to be made into a full length movie

ok this is so cool. and "Take it" word was learnt from the pirate in 1715. and the chief predator with the sword was the one who saved adolf back then
