This is one of the best Bach concerts I have heard on TH-cam. The performance of Julia and the entire orchestra is impeccable.
Julia I LOVE your playing. I am 79 and you bring so much sunshine into my world. As a child I so wanted to learn the violin but never got the chance. I even tried to build one out of a cigar box! May God bless you and your family.

This conductor's mannerisms and enthusiasm towards his players is infectious and wonderful!
It seems that he is having fun and very happy to be near Julia he seems like star struck 🥰😍😂 and he has a rock star thing about him. If you mute the sound and just watched him you would think that it is a rock concert not bach 🤣

I loved the way he didn't over-conduct the orchestra. He was expressive with his hands but not too much. You could even tell where the beat was - unlike some other conductors!

This is like a Britsh song. This song makes me feel a noble prince, since I learned to play this piano arrangement. In a few years I will buy a harpischord for me.

This is such a beautiful piece and your playing soooooo beautiful, I'm twelve years old and my teacher gave this to me with the words :"listen to it, when you like it, it'syour next piece to learn" and I have to say, I definitely like it

The allegro assai sends me on a rollercoaster of emotions that I do not want to get off of.
Beethoven must certainly have adored the allegro assai, hauntings of it permeate the fugue of his 9th symphony

This whole first piece is in a incredible flow- so natural, so light, so authentic.

The one thing more beautiful than a Bach concerto is Fischer playing a Bach concerto.

Julia Fischer, as well as the young musicians around her, are also very talented.
I am sure Bach wasn't intending to invent the jitterbug when he conceived the third movement. The enthusiastic applause was, I am sure, for running the race faster than anyone, producing a warm fuzziness due to the notes merging into each other.

Sans doute est-ce l'absence des cuivres qui rend cette plénitude si manifeste et aussi et surtout l'interprète, sa maîtrise des subtilités de l'instrument, sa douceur presque magique...
Et puis le chef-d'orchestre, sa gestuelle particulière qui devrait être enseignée dans toutes les écoles de musique tant elle est expressive, sans oublier l'orchestre, sorte d'orchestre idéal où les artistes sourient de temps en temps, sont attentifs à la direction...

I saw Julia on two separate occasions when she's toured America. The first time at MN orchestra and again a couple years later at SPCO. She is absolutely awesome, and I think while playing this---she has a baby on board. I know she's married and has two kids.

This is one of my favorite pieces by JS Bach. It’s quite traditional but that tradition was for some reason one of achingly beautiful harmonic simplicity. I enjoy imagining what sort of daily life might have inspired this beauty of sound.

Lovely performance.. Her posture is brilliant. Even gives me confidence.. Her approach to Bach always amazes me.. I'm learning so much from her. And I keep coming back to this performance when I think about the concerto in A minor. Such a solid performance.. She is like an anchor for me.

Maybe technically but the interpretation of Julia Fischer is wholly better. She is more expressive, passionate and relates better to the composer. Bach music is just like a bible to her and plays every note equally important and with deeper meaning.
Julia Fischer also certainly knows Bach more than Hilary Hahn.

I can't get enough of J.Fs Playing Her feeling and accuracy bemuse me and send shivers of ecstasy up and down my spine and that's without watching her play I love the way she forms the Bass clef shape with body! Remarkable!!
