Had my Titan for about 6 months now. It came with the new pedal tray design however I took it off drilled the base plate and mounted my pedals directly to it. I like my pedals closer to my seat and the height of the pedal tray meant my hands would brush against my knees when going through tight corners (I am 6ft tall). The wheel deck with a Simagic Alpha Mini at 10nm has never moved for me for anyone who is considering this rig. Overall a great rig for the price and super solid.
My wheel base came lose but after some serious tightening its stayed put now for 7 months. Solid in every single way and play exclusively in vr so no need for any açessories.
Bought a Titan just before Christmas and Im running a Moza R9 on it. Really pleased with the setup so far. Feels really solid and I think looks a bit more living room friendly that a profile rig hence my choice
Hi Danny, great review, had mine since Christmas 2023. I absolutely love it. I have the Logitech G-Pro with Pro pedals. The wheel base has not move an inch since I set it up, maybe they added better bolts since your review. But like you said easy fix and the cockpit is well worth. Cheers!
Great review, also from the perspective of a titan owner. I was quite surprised about the issues you were having with the wheel plate. Mine is rock solid with a T818 mounted on top and 10nm of torque. I'm courious at which price GTO will be selling the new pedal plate, it looks very promising and mine is still on the old design
Thanks man, appreciate your input with your T818, too. The new pedal plate doesn't appear to have any affect on the price, it's just a redesign and not an added extra - The wheel plate issue is more about the amount of leverage your setup gives you over the wheeldeck as well as the torque - the DD1 shown in the video is 20nm and will almost certainly have a much longer steering column than the T818, so those two factors combined mean my setup has a lot of 'leverage', so to speak. Completely fixed with the new bolts, though!
Hi Danny, nice review! I've had my Titan rig for a few years now, and has served me pretty well. The old style pedal tray that I have is definitely the weak point even though I'm only using Fanatec V3's. For anyone interested, I see GT Omega now do a pedal slider baseplate for the Titan, which uses the new design you showed here, plus a slider mechanism for £80. Looks like this could be the answer to pedal flex on my rig.
I have the titan and its great, i have the older pedal plate and have had no problems, im upgrading soon to a DD, probably the simagic so thanks for the bolt tip. I just wish they sild an extra shifter mount so could attach a hand brake on the opposite side to the shifter
I have this rig. Love it. Looks great and very solid. I put casters on mine as I use in living room. Can push it to one side when done. Do u ever get a slight static feeling through ur ur dd1?
Own one, put wheels on it and remove the shifter... it slips right into a hallway closet for storage. I find the seating angle with the default seat to be flat, so I replaced it with a proper bucket, it DOESN'T feel like a sports car however, more like a hot hatch seating position.
I've experienced the issue with the wheel deck with Moza R9 + FSR wheel, but I really need to put excessive force on it which actually became a feature for me because I can adjust it without alan key lol, but I can see why for DD1 it would be way more problematic great suggestion to replace the bolts simple as going to the local hardware store. My only complain really is the squeaking of the seat I can't seem to fix the problem whenever I move the thing squeaks like it will fall apart... But overall and especially for the money I'd recommend this to everybody out there especially since you can even place any seat for example a bucket seat there without problems if that annoys you or someone else in the household..
Any reason why you can't put a wooden batten (or 2) under the pedal plate to help rigidity? Plenty of space and fixing points to bolt the wood. Paint the wood black if you're worried about the aesthetics. And for the problem with bolts in the wheel base moving in the slots, why not just stick another bolt in the space that the original bolt is trying to move into? Fairly quick and simple DIY considering all you'll need is a tape measure, saw, drill, drill bits and something to tighten nuts and bolts.
The titan's pedal plate is really good, so no real need to strengthen it. The wheel deck's movement trouble will only affect the higher end wheelbases with lots of leverage, and I reckon the cleanest/cheapest way to resolve that will be with alternative serrated flange bolts.
Oh cool, glad I haven't wasted time finding a solution nobody asked for! Worked great for me, just nip them up real tight with a spanner and job's a good'un
I love my Titan rig but since I bought the Logitech G pro base and rim the base plate isn't big enough so I can only secure the base at 2 points at the rear with nothing at the front...is there a bigger plate option ?
I have a Moza R9 with the Titan cockpit. What I did, to fix the initial movement, was much simpler than changing the nuts and bolts. I just fastened all four sets on each side, and it has been rock solid since. So, fasten the pivots too, it will be enough for the R9.
note- after watching it does have some differences, but considering the price difference I would recommend it for most people looking for a strong rig for not super expensive
Hey Shadow! I would recommend it, yes - there's an unmistakable difference between 5 and 8 nm of force which enthusiasts will certainly appreciate. If you're happy with 5 then stick with it, but if you're a racing nut then everything extra you can get will be put to good use
I'd say so, yes - the Titan is legitimately strong enough to use with pretty much all equipment you're likely to encounter, whereas the ART will start losing its composure with anything above 10nm and decent pedals. If you know you're on a journey into sim racing then the Titan will be a better long term choice for not a lot more
@@dannyleeracing I did notice GT Omega have additional supports you can purchase for the ART which perhaps would allow for up to 15nm based on other comments I’ve read on other videos
@@davidcupra4913 no big lots hinged chairs for me. Adjustment is wonderful on the trophy. Almost any rig position you want + no flex. I actually have 2 of them. 💪💪💪💪
One thing that does appeal to me about the Trophy is that seat - having a mesh-backed racing seat is a plus for ventilation, and things get a bit toasty fighting a powerful wheel! Having a fan pointed at the back of a mesh seat is the best...
I'm also hesitant between the Playseat Trophy & the Titan. I prefer these look over an aluminum rig. The Trophy is beautiful to look at and always available to buy but the Titan is out of stock since November here where I live (Canada). Titan has better adjustment in my opinion. Even the wheel base has more adjustment over the Trophy. The Trophy's wheel base is bigger, looks more solid and study but only has 1 rotating point. I've seen other people using the DD1 with the original bolt and nuts on the Titan with no issue. Good to know there is an easy fix if it becomes a problem over time. I'm only on a CSL DD (8nm). They now sell a new pedal tray with a slider for the Titan. So you can move the pedal backward and forward just like the seat. Fast adjustment is a key feature for me since every member in my family like racing and my wife is only 5'1.
Do you happen to still have this rig still? I’m wondering what the dimensions of the seat base is since it’s fixed in place. Thinking of ordering this, but I’m wondering how/if my seat will fit.

I'm in the market for my first rig so thanks for the review. However, I'm a rather tall and long legged fellow. Would you say these rigs are mostly designed for manlets?
I'm 6 foot and it works great for me! The pedal tray can be bolted down quite a long way from the seats so I'll be surprised if you can't get it to fit you, especially if you use a seat with a slider rail
I think as you're exceptionally tall you might just hit the limit with the titan. It's an adult sized rig, but it does have its limits. Are you more torso-long or leg-long, would you say? Weird question but you'll definitely know what I mean by that!
@dannyleeracing very clear. I would say both the same. I don't have the longest legs, i think. Also, not very heavy build. 95 to 100 kg. Pretty average build only taller. I'm also thinking of the playseat trophy. But i think it is smaller even though they claim it's built for up too 220cm wich is extremely tall. Thanks for reacting. 👍
I think it'll be wise for you to avoid the Trophy just because the adjustability could be worse than the Titan because of the fixed(ish) seat (I presume - I could be wrong!)
