This is so mind blowing how much more you brought to the figure. McFarlane Toys are already amazing, and you where still able to elevate it! Outstanding!
You should try oil paint washes. They take awhile to dry, but give fantastic results. Once you aren’t in lockdown, that is.
Chris bro these figures come apart pretty easily you don’t need to cut them just boil water

Awesome work. It is amazing how just a little attention to detail can really improve the look of those figures to the point where they are something you can display.

My dad made a custom unmasked Doctor fate using the thomas Wayne head, and that neck is hilarious!
You should start adding the supplies in the description...other than that you earned a sub and great job! This figure turned out amazing. I'm planning to do this to mine when it arrives

Another awesome video! I know we got to see a live action Dr. Fate on the (gag) CW and the suit looked ok but too "theme park" for my taste. DC should look to this video for inspiration if they ever decide to bring the character to the big screen. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

You did an excellent and detailed reworking of the suit! The cape looks awesome in the stand. I can almost feel the wind machine! My hope and prayers for y’all during this lockdown time.
I have this same figure and I do this kind of stuff on a daily basis and now I am very tempted to weather him 😂
The final results with Doctor Fate look incredible. I wish they had just done it like that to start with.

Hey Chris I suggest boiling the figures and then taking them apart so you don’t have to cut them up
The legs just pop off!
I customize figures and do this too! I boil water and then drop the figure in for about 15 seconds and the parts pop off
A hair dryer also works. Or a Heat Gun but you have to be very careful with that.

looks great only thing i would have done different is use a silver dry brush on the blue undersuit to make it pop a little.

It looks good, but your processes for taking parts is destructive. A hair dryer to heat the glue from those parts will be less destructive. I’m not complaining, great stuff you doing. Im only gonna take the good stuff which is 90% of the video

This is Dr Fate's design from Injustice 2. For some reason the rivets on the sides of the chest and legs is blue on the figure, but are supposed to be the same color as the rivets on the middle of the chest.

Now he looks straight out of Injustice 2! The after looks like gold, the before looks more yellow.
I would have done something with those flesh tones too.
Its magic how a little of paint just make a big difference.
You should try some of the McFarlane Assassins Creed figures. Like Altair, Ezio or Edward. It will be awesome

Are the legs and diaper not removable on this figures? cutting parts off seems a bit extreme when usually everything just pops apart easily.

I’ve commented this a few times. Mine all pop in and out fairly easy. Legs, upper torso all come off super easy
