- After 10,000 years, we're back! I'm starting a passion project/series and re-creating something that defined my childhood. I'm redesigning and building the original combining Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The first Zord is the blue ranger's "Triceratops that turns into a foot" Zord.

The ladders are obviously there so Alpha and the maintenance crew don't have to jump several stories to do their job and possibly break their necks.
Lucky for alpha because he can get repaired. But unlucky for the maintenance crew who can't.

As you asked I'm the guy who'll tell you what those holes at the tip of a gun are. They're either heat shielding, a flash guard or a muzzle brake, depends on the gun. Cheers! 😁

6:12 - YESSS, i literally took apart a cheap sewing machine that failed me b/c it didn't have a tightening screw for the drop-in bobbin case, and therefore, it didn't actually work right. But there are soooo many fun plastic bits! I legit thought of this channel as i took it apart, so i literally CAN send you the plastic bits! and they're definitely clean, so, double-win! awesome :D

The holes in the end of the cannons act as a muzzle break, which lets some of the expanding gasses escape so that the cannon doesn't recoil so hard from the force of the gasses launching out the front. That way the gun firing doesn't flip the dinosaur on his back.
I like the method you chose for the tank treads. That's clever. Also, the entire build is mind blowing. That fact that you made it capable of converting from dino to foot had me cheering.
So good. Love how complicated the underside is. Less tank security, more iconic boot decoration.
It goes without saying that the build is incredible, but the editing of these videos just keeps getting better! I'm loving the throwbacks to the previous videos!
3:10 - For anyone curious, the main reason some guns (particularly rifles, both automatic and non-automatic,) have those holes there is because they help to reduce overall recoil, which in turn allows each consecutive shot to be more accurate than they would otherwise.
It can also be a barrelshroud like the trenchgun has but yea it looks like you Said

9:58 Hey Studson, you can sharpen those kinds of sizzors by cutting aluminum foil with them! My friend who sews taught me that.
The holes thing you're riffing on with the barrels is a heat shield :)
That's a muzzle break. A heat shield covers the barrel itself to keep you from touching the hot parts.

I make jewellery and sculptures with metal trash i find by the road, and I'm so glad there's other raccoons out there who can make use of the plastic trash that i can't. :D And what you make with it is astonishing!
17:03 The zords are marked with the first letter(s) of the animal, Triceratops has TRI near the front then TR towards the back. Problem is that it is highly stylized. Most people only know the M on Mastodon but figured it was for Megazord, I know I did when I was a kid.
This is great trivia! I only recently discovered they were letters when starring at the zords for a while for this project. It's a nice subtle design.

I love this, because my first D&D 'mini' was a 14inch tall Mechanical Dragon made from mini soda bottles (8oz bottles) and dollar store toy parts.

wow this turned out so cool! i can’t believe how well those plastic spray bottles were dinosaur shaped. this is also my favoruite patron song so far! it went surprisingly hard
the holes in the muzzle break of a gun reduce felt recoil by venting gasses from the gun backward, thus producing thrust that pulls the gun forward and lessens the impact of the recoil on the shooter.

I love the fact that the cannon folds downward so it can literally shoot itself in the foot.
The swiss cheese thing on the end of a gun is actually a shroud over the barrel called a heat shield. It prevents a person from burning themselves on the hot barrel from firing. In an application like this, there would be no need for a heat shield over the barrel, as it's unlikely a person will come into contact with it when it's hot.
This looks awesome!! I think one thing you need to consider is the weight and stability of this piece. Since it will eventually be the "leg" of the zord, it has to hold half of the weight. If you eventually decide to do the Dragonzord that would even be more weight. Just saying! Looking forward to the other pieces :)
