You are so right. If this cut is really from 1975, then it was from the last year that Elvis put a lot of effort in making up a great set list. From what I have read, Elvis did some of his best concerts in 1975.

I think Travis Tritt did a pretty good remake. Not Elvis, but still a great job with it.
Elvis sang this to me when he first recorded it in his bedroom in Holby Hills. He had just finished it and we both just loved this song. It became one of my favorite songs but because it was soooo wordy he rarely sang it in public. Only in a couple of concerts!

On this day in 1975 {June 5th} Elvis appeared in concert at the Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston, Texas...
The fifteen song he performed in his twenty five set was "T-R-O-U-B-L-E"*...
At the time the song was at #40 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; three days later on June 8th, 1975 it would peak at #35 {for 2 weeks} and it stayed on the chart for 9 weeks...
It reached #11 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart...
And it was the King's 140th charted record on the Top 100 chart...
* In 1958 Elvis released his sixth studio album’ 'King Creole', and track five of side one was a song titled "Trouble", but this was a completely different song...

Bret Castronini it topped out at #10. So many of Elvis' songs should've been #1's, they just weren't marketed or publicized right. His albums in the 70s were roughly like his movies in the 60s. He went from doing about 3 movies a year to at least 3 albums a year in the 70s. It was great music, but unlike most artists today, you might get 1 album a year, if that. Elvis was just one right after the other and at some point, not only are they gonna compete with each other, which makes zero sense, but not everybody could afford to buy so many. I certainly couldn't today. But that was the recording contract that the Colonel negotiated for him and had to fulfil those obligations as well as touring. The man was exhausted. Priscilla broke his heart, but the Colonel broke his body.

Aside from "Burning Love" & "Promised Land", this was the BEST thing that he recorded during the 1970's. My opinion only! :-) Great LIVE version & he looks really GOOD in this suit. I wish he would have worn more of these during the 1970's, very complementary to his, then, figure & weight. Not a put down here K?
