What's with all the hate about hunting with a crossbow? He still putting in the work and the miles and the necessary practice and spending the money and time to get on these big bucks to get within bow range, I hunt with a crossbow and so does my wife but we do it even during gun season because I feel it's a great challenge during gun season but I would never hate on somebody for using a gun either! Jmo
There’s not a thing wrong with it. A real hunter wouldn’t bash you for using whatever you want. Real hunters respect fellow hunters and realize it’s a privilege and honor to hunt. Also, any type of bow is a challenge to kill with. Have to make good shot at close range. You do you buddy
Thanks for your content guys! I'm disappointed I just found out that you existed. I'm on a public land big woods wisconsin dandy this year. Your info about bedding habits has helped immensely. One question, his bed is in a grown over deer field surrounded by a 40year old aspen stand. None of these trees give me any decent cover. I absolutely hate bow hunting out of a ground blind. This buck is eating in a 2yr old clear cut about a .25 mile away that's surrounded by mature maple select cut. My trail cam pics have him up and moving about an hour before dark, but still on the edge of his bedding cover. How would you guys play this scenario? He's a 140+buck and this land gets hit pretty hard during rifle season. I have Halloween week off of work. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks again for the education!!! I subscribed.

Great buck and video! Can you give a rough idea of the size of this figure 8. For instance how far apart were those two points and how far was it from the oxbow to the other end (left end) based on the video.
I purchased hip boots for this season and I’m going beast mode at em this season. So with my new found confidence in hunting the marsh islands I’m expecting to rip my hip boots on the second time going in lol. Good thing I don’t melt in water. A lot of the Bucks that are killed on the hunting public and the success stories I see in their videos, they give public recognition, a lot of credit and relate that success back, to the lessons they've learned from Dan Infalt, I think that's pretty awesome! I would love to see a video on any of these Beast style hunter's doing something on Florida public land, so I can get some help down here! 😅👍
I feel that if u set up on a small tree like mario did ...that you may not always get busted because a buck wont expect anyone in there bedroom and will most likely over look him. Not saying thats always but it seems like a good possibility to get away with a set up like that. Dont get me wrong if he smells u ...then he will be alarmed ..
Man only if u shot the buck with a Bow instead of a freaking crossbow (basically a gun)! I would be so mad at myself if I hunted with a crossbow and shot a giant. If it doesn’t matter to you then that cool but obviously u can’t ignore it’s much much much more important and impressive if u take a giant like that with a bow
Mario has an injury preventing his elbow from moving and can't shoot a regular bow... So you think he should not be able to enjoy hunting like the rest of us? We would all be a lot better off if we did not stand in a glass house throwing stones. Worry about yourself, rather than others.
Vegas23 it doesn't matter what you shoot it with if it legal it good iam 35 deaf in one ear and hearing aid in other I bowhunted for 15 years when u can't hear them coming they r on top of u before you get a chance rules change got a crossbow I starting putting horns on the wall and meat in freezer
Dan posts these videos because he is extremely knowledgeable about deer and deer hunting, especially hunting big bucks and he is trying to help teach people, he doesnt post these videos to brag and if he wanted to brag he definitely has the resume to do so. Instead of worrying about whether or not he comes off as “egotistical” maybe you should just listen to what he says because I bet you would learn a thing or two about how to find and kill big bucks.

They feed on all sorts of stuff... They are big on acorns, and they travel to crops at night, but they also eat a ton of browse.
I’ll be in kansas in late november this season, and intend on specifically targeting the marshes of the wma’s. Thanks for all the info!

Skinny trees work. My buck last season was from a tree about that size. It was the right spot.
