Florida Green swamp 2023 Whitetail Deer Hunting

While #deer #hunting I decided to pee from the #treestand . I usually bring a bottle but this day I decided not to. I will never bring one again. After urinating from the tree four times onto the ground these whitetail deer were more curious than startled. This is the #Florida #Greenswamp #publicland. IMO one of the toughest #whitetail deer hunting in Florida. Many go years without even seeing a deer! #2023

Lots of deer out there. But contrary to popular beliefs. You have to know where to look and what to look for. I see deer more times than not. Every habit has it methods and means. You have to know them learn them and use them. Did you see the 8 point I got in January? Hunt January is the east track rut. Full swing.

Loos to me like that first doe was spooked by the scent of your urine ... hence all the warning stomps. The second doe never moved after hearing the first doe stomp.

Most info is here. When I came back to Florida after retiring from the Marine Corps I had to re learn as well so understand. I hunt Greenswamp since I hunted there as a teenager, as well as Ocala. It is different for sure here but has a natural beauty of its own. Just understand the hazardous animals we have here such as snakes, hogs, alligators and other things. I constantly run into snakes and if you look at my regular post I have an eastern that almost got me.
