- Thailand 6 Month Tourist Visa - 2 Month Update!
Here's a quick update on how things are going after a little over two months traveling all over Thailand on my six month tourist visa. I've stayed in many places, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Lanta & More. Not to mention my previous visits to Krabi, Ao Nang, Ao Luek , Surat Thani, and other parts of Thailand. I've got several possible paths to obtain a longer stay in Thailand with the visa I have, and there are other visas I can qualify for. Let's see what the future holds!

Good vid mate! New sub., Oz.
@@rickman2267 I appreciate it!
Thanks for sharing the various Visa options. Very informative video!
Looking forward to more Thailand content.
Thank you Steve! Absolutely, will be keeping the videos coming 😎
Just changed from non-b to DTV because i wanted to retire but without working -no work visa. I had regular doctors appointments anyway, so the soft power category was perfect
@glaubhafieber Thanks for the info, glad that worked out for you
How old are you, bro?
Also, how does one find an apartment to rent in Thailand for a price less than those listed on Airbnb but still a good quality apartment/condo?
@totallyraw1313 Born in 76. There are several FB groups featuring just that kind of stuff. There are also entire websites such as RentHub, FazWaz, HipFlat that have listings.
🍀
What exact building are you in now ? Love the view !
@Roger_Rademakers_1971 It's actually in one of the Hillside condos near Maya center. The opposite side of the building faces that mall.
@@jonlambert76 hillside plaza & condominium i guess then...
6 month tourist visa? Never heard of this before. You mean you got the 90 day tourist visa then applied for extensions?
I don't believe there is a 90 day tourist Visa anymore. I think he's talking about the multi-entry Visa. It's good for constant entries for a 6 month period. You get 60 days to start, which can be extended another 30. Then you'd have to leave and come back for 60 and extend 30. You can come and go more often, but each entry stamp would be good for 60 days.
If you time it right, you can leave and return around the end of the 6 months and reenter for 60+30, so you would get close to 9 months total.
@@robwolf2152 This is correct. The 6 month multiple entry tourist visa.
The other comment by Rob Wolf explains it correctly. The 6 month METV. On the flip side, I had not heard of the 90 day tourist visa. Probably depends on when you sign up, as things are always changing. I actually signed up and was approved just a month before all the new visa stuff came out with the DTV along with the 60 day exemption entries. In my case, I probably would have chosen one of those options instead.
@@jonlambert76 The upside with the METV, is that you can do your last border run just before it expires, get 60+30 days more out of that, which will be a total of 9 months, without being questioned by the immigration. But that you know already, I hear from your video.
Btw, there has never been a 90 days tourist visa, maximum 60 days for a single entry, which can be extended locally with 30 days (1900 baht).
Thanks for this :) did you book an onward ticket for within the 60 days of the first visa ?
