- I recently purchased this 1940 Farmall H with an aftermarket M&W 9 speed transmission. This first video will eventually be a series on getting this tractor back to work on the farm, like it was built to do 83 years ago.
Special thanks to Grumpy Shop Teacher for selling me this tractor! youtube.com/@g...
Liked the tractor, love the sweatshirt. I went to school at Spoon River.
Stay with a kid you're doing a great job, And you're preserving history
My grandpa had a H with the M&W 9 speed transmission. I loved that thing

Thanks for watching, I sincerely appreciate the support.
Looks like it will make a nice unit
Good day from Ontario I am surprised grumpy sold h That trans up here is rare to non exsistion .
We had sw-6 & w4 yes 4 gear on w6 is almost 7mph w4 was about 5 I think
806 gas wow gas is about 1.45/litre X 4.54 = 6. ?
Boy the fan are fairly loud, they must run at a pretty good speed
Did grumpy not look at this air cleaner
Yes she does run alot better, does seem a little shy with gas.
Thanks Those trans are cat/s meow for side rake.
I look at trans chart again , boy it really puts speed up in high range.
Look and sounds like a great ole tractor 🤠
9 Speeds Forever!!
Make sure the oil filter and oil are always new and warm it up slowly before use. This tractor is worth a lot more than it looks. Change all lubrication before parts could be damaged !!! That air filter .... yuk is the sign of joints and certain parts need up grade !!!!
The next video on this tractor will be featuring a complete and total fluid flush and replacement. Good fluids are very important to me! Thanks for watching.
Hello from South Ga. I love the old farmalls. Im restoring a 51' Super A. Just subscribed to your channel. Thanks for the videos.
Nice!
That will be your raking tractor now rake in 2nd gear on the high side
take the oil cleaneer assembly off and remove the steel mesh out and wash it in solvnet and reassemble...
Thats definitely going to be apart of the revival. That carburetor is coming off, along with all new fluids, wiring, fuel system... All in due time! Thanks for watching.
The generator is laying on the shop floor. We got to talking and I forgot about it lol.
What’s the reason you don’t use Diesel tractors, Is the different fuel prices the reason or the initial price of the diesel agriculture equipment 🇬🇧🇮🇪.
