He completed his Lego resource pack just mere weeks before his death. He completed the one thing he really loved and felt passionate about and that is all what matters, because your creation is a memorial of you when you are gone.

This is actually baffling. I just watched his Brickcraft trailer around two hours ago (mind you I had never seen -or heard from- him before) and he felt so incredibly positive. Really the only thing I was thinking was: "That is an amazing resource pack!". I didn't even consider him not coming out the other side healthy. Alex has put something extraordinary together in his limited time.

That's... honestly kind of depressing. I'm super into Lego so I was super invested in the project, and always found the guy so inspiring and fun. Every small animarion was a treat, every update was a delight. Rest in piece, or as it might be, in Lego pieces.

So I just came back from school and man, seeing this hurts. I first interacted with Alex one time when I commented on a reply and he did confirm how he did have cancer and understood how many people have misused such a thing, and I hoped he was able to beat it. 0:36 I lost my grandpa a few years ago. One night, before his passing, I had the opportunity to spend some time with and just talk. He was lying on his deathbed at that moment. Out of fear and stress, I chose not to pay him a visit. Though my situation was not the same as yours is now, because I still knew my grandpa before his death and visited him every so often, I understand how painful the regret of not talking to someone can be. 0:36 I lost my grandpa a few years ago. One night, before his passing, I had the opportunity to spend some time with and just talk. He was lying on his deathbed at that moment. Out of fear and stress, I chose not to pay him a visit. Though my situation was not the same as yours is now, because I still knew my grandpa before his death and visited him every so often, I understand how painful the regret of not talking to someone can be. Especially when it was your last chance. I still feel that regret sometimes, even now. Just know that, in the end, it's not your fault that you didn't talk to him.

I saw this project when it was being made and had no idea what the creator was going through, and the fact that all he wanted to do was live out a passion and make something that other people could love and enjoy is beautiful, especially with how up beat he seemed. I discovered him a couple weeks ago and was really sad to hear he had cancer. His work was astounding, the amount of work and soul he poured into this pack really shows. It's always the best people have to go first, yet again cancer has taken another one of our "warriors" to say the least.
May Alex rest after a long battle of chemotherapies and cancer treatment, I hope more people acknowledge his extravagant works and I hope that the Minecraft community will forever support his work that is hopefully only on hiatus for now. Rest in peace Alex 🕊️
