Or make a pipe that dispenses all the waste into other hermits bases. Don't just get sued for one thing, get sued for destroying the environment as well!
and maybe he's rapidly aging for... reasons?... so he's trying to find a way to transfer his consciousness into a new body? like he did with transferring the testificate into the chicken
Fun fact: At 9:50, when you’re talking about smaller pipes leading into bigger pipes, you’re actually doing a decent job describing the end of the kidney’s functions within the urinary system. To gloss over most of the kidney’s inner workings (as they’re far more complicated than I dare delve into in a comment), your blood is filtered into filtrate (pre-pee) and this filtration causes the filtrate to be dispersed into many different pipes called tubules. After some more complicated stuff, the tubules then begin to merge, as many become few and ultimately culminate into the collecting duct, which is a collection of larger pipes that then merge, sending your urine out of your kidney and into your ureters (your big pipes) then into the bladder for storage.
o damm, you made think about y anatomy class! the first filter system that doesnt allow electrolytes to go into the pre-pee then a 2nd filter that absorbs the pseudo-pee's water and rouge electrolytes to allow the normal pee go into the ureter. without mentioning the parts that function as checkpoints if the system needs to re-filter the liquids ugh
*@Mumbo Jumbo* Build tip: When "gradient-ing", don't just make a "wavy line" where 2 block types go togheter, you should also sprinke in some dots of each block type into the other block type, near "the line" have a dense "exchange" of blocks (eg. 2x2 or larger & Pentomino-/Tetris-like-shapes), but further away have less "exchange" of blocks (eg. 1x1),
I personally prefer the wavy likes as that matches reality better. Can't say I've ever really seen patches of wear scattered at a distance from the main patch. Unless something very specific is causing the wearing agent to hit those specific spots.
Putting the end of that pipeline at Scar's base would actually be really interesting for the story telling of your own base and his. Like Scar's is fully of life and animals and creatures and wants to preserve nature while you have that massive factory with its only goal to mass produce items and not care about the waste, so something really interesting could be done.
18:10 Hear me out, keep that open. If not, at least put in some glass because that looks great open like that. It could be such a cool detail and it takes care of all of the greebling for that side of the red box.
I just want to say that it really shines through in your tone of voice when you are enjoying yourself. It's a small detail, but it has made this season infinitley more enjoyable as a viewer.
The factory really fits in with all the surrounding hermits builds as well. There's a really good transition from the dense urban areas in the cyberpunk city and Joel's city, through Mumbo's more rural town, to Scar's zoo and forest (and then Bdubs' base way off in the countryside)
I really love how aggressive the contrast is between Mumbo's side of the river and Joel's: East meets West, industrial meets commercial, neon meets brick. It feels very honest and true to how these things spring up in the real world, and is just another chuffly consequence of everyone building so close together this season.
And Mumbo’s style of detail and building is kinda of the same ilk as Joel, so they can be seen as part of the same universe well (as opposed to say, cub)
I said this on the last video; but you need End Rods, or Frog Lights, or even Redstone Lamps. Need some light on this build. No buildings are completely dark at night, especially giant factories.. I googled "Battersea power station at night" it is well lit up
The factory looks really good, I think a moving billboard with piston V-tapes on one of the sides would look really cool and bring the build more alive
I feel like once you are at the teraforming stage, it could look really nice to continue your forest onto the mountain You could do some cool pollution things with the plants like you did for the farm spot
19:30 Mumbo! To tick on your idea of pressure relief stacks, you could have the tallest of them be a flare tower! Lots of refineries and factories have them, and it would be a “safe” way to “dispose” of any waste gasses from the production process. Or a few of them as flare towers!
I think your hiatus in Season 9 was great for you mentally, and it’s moments like this where I can see the growth in your self-awareness, approach to building, and having fun with these designs. It is so cool, and you should be proud of it. Can’t wait to see you fill in the factory details over the next few episodes!

Besides with how much he’s been posting it seems like he’s really enjoying Hermitcraft. If anyone was going to retire Grian is the most likely. He’s barely posting and making very little actual progress on anything
I could see a temporary pause in Hermitcraft. He’s made massive progress in his building skill this season. It’s kinda showing that he wants to leave Hermitcraft as the best player he could be. But Hermitcraft has been such a big part of his career that I couldn’t imagine a permanent end to Hermitcraft. Maybe 1-2 season break.
it’s so nice to hear you so excited about your builds mumbo :) all the love, time, and effort that goes into them doesn’t go unnoticed. the worldbuilding and lore being introduced is super interesting too! keep doing what you love! thank you for sharing your art with us
when someone's intense passion for the process and endless happiness for the result make you smile from ear to ear - it's an incredible feeling. I love to hear mumbo so happy in the field where he discovers something new. this season is already legendary because of such a leap of building skills from a man who had previously created mainly powerful symmetry and redstone.

3:30 Zombies can spot you only in 16 block radius, but if they see you they will attract other zombies nearby in a pretty large radius. Also they will lose interest in you only if you really far away
Normally I watch Hermits for the sake of my entertainment and come out happier to say the least. But watching mumbo building has made me inspired and now I genuinely want to start building more in Minecraft. I love how mumbo doesn't leave us watching a time lapse and instead takes us through his thought process and the building process.
The way you handle building with doing the broad strokes and then final details later is exactly what I do in engineering when I am creating a robot. I model it super loosely to just make sure it works then I refine and make more iterations through time. Doing it this way is literally so much better and a lot less stressful.
I’m loving mumbo’s progress in building. He’s become one of my favourite builders, and he’s still getting better. Very impressive and super cool, both in ideas and execution
4:54 A retaining wall might make sense there. It holds back the earth excavated in the construction of the factory, making the discontinuity in the terrain less jarring.
20:16 I think you could put a slatted window in the open face of the mangrove section. Maybe with a coloured glass to make it a bit obscured and mysterious. A factory near me has glass sections so you can see into certain parts and see the machines and it looks really cool.
9:30 yes because you would have multiple monitoring stations for the outflow to make sure it's within spec, and also pressure would be halved because there are twice the amount of pipes.
season 10 has been seriously such a fun watch so far. Ive been a viewer since season 4 and the improvement in all areas along with your enjoyment is palpable. Im loving hermitcraft more now than when i was a kid its crazy
Looking at the mangrove waste disposal part kinda makes me imagine one of those rails with big buckets of molten metal. But like, full of factory waste insteaf of molten material. Kinda curving out of one side and dumping the contents of the buckets before going back in a little bit off to the other.
Bdubs said in his single player world "a build should look good in 3 stages: from very far away where blocks blend together, medium distance where you start to notice depth and specific blocks, and up close where you see the small details" and I think this build fits the far 2 of that criteria, soon to be 3 when you finish detailing. I think this is my favourite build of yours since season 7.
12:08 i once heared someone said that dogs only has a lifespan of 15-20 years they cherish every moment they have with theiir owners. Waiting for them patiently, knowing the time when they arrive or gonna get up or do something. Notices every single thing you do. Looks at you curiously everytume. Have a sense of how you feel and they also kinda know if you're sick. They are very instinctive and emotional being. And they have pack mentality.
I can tell you're really loving this project, your enthusiasm for it comes through so clearly. You're doing a great job with the build too! I love these frequent uploads.
I'm loving the uploads! You have improved so much as a builder! And these videos are so satisfying the way they are planned and so excited for some mumbo lore AND scars lore from secret life and wild life
I can't explain how happy I am that you've picked up more on building, Mumbo. It's like when you see an older sibling or something getting into something you enjoy, in their own way. The factory looks amazing btw! :)
Theory… what if the old scientist is mumbo FROM THE END OF THE SEASON… it has the same type of eyes as mumbo does and Mumbo’s hair is greying… AM I CRAZY..????
Hey mumbo love your vid’s. been watching since season 6, and I had a suggestion you should add a big red button to turn your farms on and off with warning signs or have a control room with each lever turn on and off each individual farm and add your own unique twist ❤️
i love so much how everyone on magic mountain's bases are slowly merging over time, its so cool and you can totally imagine it as one big city :D (specifically in this episode joel and mumbo's, but everyone really)
18:21 there's a video game studio who's logo looks a lot like the factory from this angle, but I can't remember what studio it is, and it's driving me crazy.
Its kind of interesting how Mumbo is really going step by step with this massive factory (mainly because its so massive) and hes made several episodes out of it now. I feel like with some other hermits or maybe even an older Mumbo they would just cram the entire construction in one video instead of splitting it up, thats part of the reason why hes gotten so many videos out lately (and because hes wonderfully insane). The step by step almost reminds me of Etho if Im being honest, but either way Im loving seeing Mumbos process through this whole thing :)
I feel like having a black glass wall where the waste section is would be really cool. It would wall it off while still letting you be able to look into the inner workings of the factory. This factory is turning out so cool!
Since Mumbo is practicing building in different styles, I think when he adds smoke to the chimneys he should get Scar to teach him how to do it with glass and stuff.
MORE TIPS FOR BUILDING/DETAILINGGG!!!! 1 - Use signs as rims to go around parts of the 1x1 chimneys, 2 - I'm sure this won't be as much as an issue when its textured and detailed but something to break up the 2 big pipes on the side, 3 - Maybe shorten the mangrove wall a little bit and make a sort of barn roof. (I don't know what they're called, but they are kind of like arches) 4 - Instead of the chimneys in the back being a darker shade, I would make them lighter as to draw more attention to the front, 5 - Lots and lots and lots of box fans on the roofs. (a scary amount, an absurd amount) But yeah, the factory looks good!
About the pipes, they feel a bit weird without an obvious reason to be there. A potential "use" for pipes in chimneys is cooling down hot gasses with water/coolant before they get released into the air. This would logically imply one of the pipes being constantly moist and cool, and the other one hot. Also logically, the cool pipe should enter the chimney at the top of the cooling section, and the hot one exiting at the bottom of the chimney. Then both connected to a chiller next to the building, connected to the power grid. Awesome project anyway Mumbo!
Super happy to see you refining your building process! I just tuned in for the last few episodes after a hiatus, but the language you’re using with your builds is a huge step up. When you first started showing your drawings I was, first of all, blown away by how quickly you adapted your design sensibilities to drawing, and second, the way you were conceptualizing the drawings felt much more streamlined than your builds at the time. With your broad strokes you’re focusing in primary shapes, the a doorway might be a secondary shape, and the specific cracks and details are tertiary. So cool to see you treating this game like art
9:40, because of Bernoulli’s principle we know that the pipes pressure would decrease and the fluids velocity would increase, so you could do the smaller pipes if you wanted.
The factory looks amazing! If you end up deciding to put 4 smaller pipes below the 2 larger ones on the left side of the build, the lore behind it could be that you need the higher pressure to keep the pipes clear. The problem with lower pressure pipes is that they could become fully or partly clogged, and that would be a mess that a Mega Corp wouldn't want to have to clean up. You could also If you wanted to make it look like the factory had 2 larger pipes, but then had to replace them with smaller ones but left the attachment points of the larger pipes in place because they didn't want to spend the money removing them.

3:30 Zombies can spot you only in 16 block radius, but if they see you they will attract other zombies nearby in a pretty large radius. Also they will lose interest in you only if you really far away
09:24 whenever i hear Mumbo's voice near a Minecart I get Wild Life Episode 5 flashbacks

Craft some herm was a very underappreciated joke
I also forget that Mumbo does videography. I also always get surprised by these cinematic masterpieces.
Good intro, Mumbo! 👏
4:54 A retaining wall might make sense there. It holds back the earth excavated in the construction of the factory, making the discontinuity in the terrain less jarring.

I think you could put a slatted window in the open face of the mangrove section.
3 episodes of hermitcraft in one week! My man is on the grind.
Looking at the mangrove waste disposal part kinda makes me imagine one of those rails with big buckets of molten metal. But like, full of factory waste insteaf of molten material. Kinda curving out of one side and dumping the contents of the buckets before going back in a little bit off to the other.
Our favorite spud is absolutely crushing it this season!! The factory is awesome!!
Mumbo's really been spoiling us lately with the frequent, high-quality uploads
And Rehn
12:08 i once heared someone said that dogs only has a lifespan of 15-20 years they cherish every moment they have with theiir owners. Waiting for them patiently, knowing the time when they arrive or gonna get up or do something. Notices every single thing you do. Looks at you curiously everytume. Have a sense of how you feel and they also kinda know if you're sick. They are very instinctive and emotional being. And they have pack mentality.
I can tell you're really loving this project, your enthusiasm for it comes through so clearly. You're doing a great job with the build too! I love these frequent uploads.
I love mumbos style of building, its really unique how he uses different blocks that you wouldn't except
Decreasing the pipe diameters could smoothen the flow, which is preferable if you want to minimize friction and mixing.
The mangrove side with it open like that and the levels built in the clay farm gives the feel of offices to it which is very cool to me.
Grian questions why his heart suddenly hurts 2:25
I'm loving the uploads! You have improved so much as a builder! And these videos are so satisfying the way they are planned and so excited for some mumbo lore AND scars lore from secret life and wild life
I think that scientist is future mumbo we can see him getting greys like the scientist at the beginning. We are in the old man mumbo arc
“ITS LORE ITS LORE” MFs without realising it’s literally a Dr.Coomer Minecraft skin
Yes GREAT THEORY.
I NOW HEADCANNON THIS LOL. HE MUST BE THE OLD SCIENTIST, HE MUST BE!!
I just commented this and I think he is also trying to transfer his consciousness to another body like we see in the intro
Hey mumbo love your vid’s. been watching since season 6, and I had a suggestion you should add a big red button to turn your farms on and off with warning signs or have a control room with each lever turn on and off each individual farm and add your own unique twist ❤️
i think considering how the thing works is actually really inportant, so giving the pipes a good deal of thought is probably fine lol
i love so much how everyone on magic mountain's bases are slowly merging over time, its so cool and you can totally imagine it as one big city :D (specifically in this episode joel and mumbo's, but everyone really)

BRO HE'S GRINDING (and I love it)
mumbo not lighting up his work areas and then suffering from monster attacks feels like it has a simple solution. And yet...
6:00 Mumbo learns the ancient art of Not Giving A F*ck: Circular Logic Edition
I love this idea; especially knowing how mild-mannered the Hermits are (Pointed glare at Xisuma - Mute your mic, bud) and this brings me joy.
Since Mumbo is practicing building in different styles, I think when he adds smoke to the chimneys he should get Scar to teach him how to do it with glass and stuff.
MORE TIPS FOR BUILDING/DETAILINGGG!!!!
1 - Use signs as rims to go around parts of the 1x1 chimneys,
2 - I'm sure this won't be as much as an issue when its textured and detailed but something to break up the 2 big pipes on the side,
3 - Maybe shorten the mangrove wall a little bit and make a sort of barn roof. (I don't know what they're called, but they are kind of like arches)
4 - Instead of the chimneys in the back being a darker shade, I would make them lighter as to draw more attention to the front,
5 - Lots and lots and lots of box fans on the roofs. (a scary amount, an absurd amount)
But yeah, the factory looks good!
0:09 stop, he's with the science team
18:10 I like it. Even the open side. I know you won’t keep it open, but it just feels like those MASSIVE vents they sometimes had
Mumbo's delight in his buildings is so palpable that it just makes me so happy to watch. He's obviously having fun and that joy is infectious.
I love how he hasn’t removed the snail trail on his base still 5:15
dang he's been on a grind

MUMBO DOING WHAT GRIAN CANNOT! also, old!
