Sou apenas um faixa azul comedor de feijão, mais vejo similaridade no jogo do meregali com gordon ryan, onde o pe e o tronco ficam próximos, como se fizessem a letra U invertida.
Oponente fica entre o pe e a cabeca, encaixado dentro do U invertido, retirando o espaço do oponente, reduzindo o recurso do guardeiro, quando o passador vê oportunidade, jogam o peso, travando o movimento de quem esta por baixo, dificilmente voce ve um guardeiro conseguindo fazer alavanca, a evolução de quem esta passando normalmente é a montada seguida pelo dominio das costas.
É tao funcional que parece simples mais so vi esses dois fazerem esse jogo, ou seja nao é para qualquer lutador, mesmo, estando entre os feras.
Algum mestre jiu para dizer se procede esta observação, se sim, como neutralizar esse jogo tão eficiente, e se voce tiver a resposta, ultima pergunta, como ainda ninguém conseguiu parar o gordon e meregali?
esse tipo de jogo é o terror da meia guarda, pode ser o melhor cara de meia/meia com escudo do mundo que esses caras vão te amassar na pressão.
desde que o mundo é mundo uma boa guarda contra esse tipo de jogo é a guarda de gancho/butterfly guard, da uma olhada num cara chamado Adam Wardzinski, ele joga assim com e sem kimono, mas o problema é que é bem mais difícil de manter essa guarda pela falta de pegadas sem kimono
outro tipo de jogo que defende bem esse tipo de jogo é o jogo de inversão com leglocks, mas esse é muito complexo principalmente pra quem não é flexível, mas a título de curiosidade dois caras feras nisso, veja as lutas deles no adcc lachlan files e eoghan oflanagan.
o gordon mesmo se você buscar pelas lutas dele contra caras grandes e que lutam bem passando, ele faz de duas umas, ou ataca as pernas (nicky rod no adcc 2022), ou raspa de gancho (bochecha adcc 2019), ou joga de meia de gancho, a famosa half butterfly (nicky rod no ufc fight pass invitational)

Nicholas looks really good. My only issue is he starting from his back in each session. In ADCC you're gonna have to take people down at some point.

That’s a specific guard passing round, I bet they do plenty of stand up specific rounds as well

He’s training with a smaller and lighter partner. Better to accept bottom position and work out of inferior spots than just bully someone on the feet.
