Only guy who Kaynan didnt tap, tapped Galvao and won vs Bodoni. Incredible performance by Dante man. Reminded me of Giles run. Definitely the MVP of this ADCC outside of Kaynan 7/8 sub run to double gold
What was that submission against Mica? Didn’t even look like he had the heel hook? Either kneebar or his ankles was in fact super sensitive from a previous injury
its considered a ''straight ankle'' ( the classic ankle joint attack, the panza - tibia fibula/shin and mikey foot dorsal ligament variations all fall under straight ankle) where mica used the ankle'' turn in '' defense ( you turn the foot towards the ribs ) to release pressure and dante followed.. its rare but really strong dudes can muscle through attacking w/e ligaments n bone is there... yes mica had been badly injured from not tapping to a straight ankle in a gi match months ago. which is probably why he tapped despite the turn in defense.... That said its like the third time in a row dante has taken it to mica
How did Dante beat bodoni? He laid on his back the entire match and the only success he had was from bodoni over committing trying to pass the guard. That shouldn’t be a win imo. The guy actively trying to win the match should be rewarded not the guy playing it safe
@@TrollsGetMadyeah you can’t go for a submission from behind his guard ding dong. If bodoni had laid on his back the entire time and Dante couldn’t have passed his guard bodoni would have been the one trying to hit submissions. It’s one thing if you stand and go to the ground but if you lay flat on your back an entire match you shouldn’t win

Giancarlo rushed the pass at 1:35 left
mica seems susceptible to leg attcks. that's how he lost to kade as well. Not the exact submission

only guy who went for any submissions was Dante lol what. Bodoni didn't try one sub until 45 seconds were left hahahah
Bodoni was on the defense whole time. Even though he wasnt ever in danger he had nothing to score with (defense dont score in martial arts)

just boring fights one after the other
While most were tired for going deep in their brackets, Leon was fresh. Great performance, but context matters.
