  • What is burnout, how does it happen, and how do we heal from it? When we feel stressed for too long without adequate resources to cope, it leads us to burnout. These days, burnout is everywhere and it can impact people from all walks of life, but it isn’t what we are hardwired to experience as human beings. If you’ve been impacted by burnout, you know how debilitating it can be.

    This video was amazing. Thank you for teaching people the value of rest, slowing down and listening to your needs. It's sad we have to unlearn so many ideals that ultimately hurt us. I took notes and I'll be using this for the rest of grad school! Thank you!!

    You are incredible! This is super enlightening. Love it when you say "glorifying busy-ness", this spoke to me haha! I'm totally guilty of this. There is no such glory for being too busy all the time. Once or twice I've felt the increasing feeling of burnout, and gave personal lessons on avoiding them in the future. Thank you for these mighty helpful tips!

      Ahh thank you! And I am the queen of glorifying busyness so its taken a while for me to UNlearn, and I still am! So glad you’ve found your way through the challenges of all this!

    Great tips - Making time for self care regularly and before burn out I find really useful, having some alone time or going for a walk I find helps me relax and gives me more energy and focus for a busy life

    What a informative video about burn-out. When I was answering the questions in the exercise, it helped me to review definition and symptoms of burnout. I hope to acknowledge if I experience burnout. Embracing imperfection is a new personal goal of mine.

    Can you talk about how to recharge your social battery?? I’m finding tips like, have a cup of tea, journal..but none of that refills the incredible empty feeling I get after being over sensitized from too many people around me all the time.

    • @DrThereseMascardo
      @DrThereseMascardo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tammy! Thanks for the request, it’s a super important topic - let me see what I can do! Have you had any luck recharging with other techniques?
