- Hey guys, so I just wanted to put out a quick comparison video of the different setups I've had on my hatchback over the last few months. It started off with a simple muffler delete to get more sound out of it, and then quickly moved on to a Tsudo N1/InfernoFab UEL combo.
I had the Tsudo N1 on by itself for a while as the UEL's took a while to arrive but it was definitely worth it. While I had the Tsudo N1 by itself I had the baffle in just because it was far too droney for my liking and it didn't sound very good in my opinion. The baffle gave it a decent tone and even some mild rumble at certain rpm's. Once the UEL's arrived last week though it definitely changed everything. The videos won't do it justice and it sounds awesome. It's a touch raspy cause I still have a stock mid pipe but I might change that out though I'm in no rush.
With the UEL's in there's no need for the baffle anymore, unless you're trying to be a nice neighbor or maybe going on a longer road trip. It doesn't kill the the rumble but it's way quieter especially in the cabin with it in. Otherwise it's that classic subie rumble everyone loves. I hope the clips are helpful to anyone who's curious about doing this to their car, and if there are any questions I'm happy to help out however I can!

Did you have to take the infernolab headers to a shop to get them cut to fit? Or did they just bolt on.

Great video, thanks for posting. I have a 2010 Impreza and am exploring options. To me it is looking more and more like I need to go with the UEL mod. The Subaru sound is amazing. What was the shopping list for the UEL mod for you? I am new to Subaru's. I am a bit inexperienced and want to make sure I am ordering the right parts..

Hey mate just curious to know what the decibel level is on this setup. I want to follow the same route but don’t want a defect. I live in sydney so i have the 2.0 version. Here i think the limit is 90db at idle or 3000rpm
Hey can you post the link to the headers and exhaust please? I really love the sound you have! I have the same car but gunmetal grey! Also going to do a bumper cut with a diffuser to go the dual exit quad tip route. Or maybe some nasty looking dual exit single tips cut on an angle, not sure yet as I’d like to just get the headers and cat back system first!

That’s the link to the headers. As for the Tsudo N1 they don’t seem to make it anymore as it’s been out of stock for some time. The Invidia N1 is very comparable albeit more expensive. If it’s fits with the 2008-14 Hatchback you’ll be able to mount it with minimal modifications!
This fit for sedan too? And a cheaper muffler that's comparable?

Hey! They’re 17x8 +35mm, and they’re bronze. I got them off a website called fitment industries, makes it real easy to shop for these things
either way i think 2.0L can still get the same sound with aftermarket uels

Now i have 18 Forester XT whit UEL
Just keep looking. I found mine at a local used car dealership
I have a 2008 hatch with UEL headers and a muffler delete sounds pretty good
How much did the inferno lab setup cost with the UEL headers?
all in all was about $1k more or less, the headers were about $700 and the catback was about $300

With the catless headers did you get a check engine light?
They’re not catless, and since they’re made to fit the o2 sensors fit right in place so no worries
Did you ever switch our the midpipe?

getting some cosmetic things done at the moment, haven't really gotten a chance to to record much though, once i get some parts out of the paint shop i might post an update. wheels are avid av20's! 17x8 +35
Did you heat wrap the headers ?
I want to order inferno lab headersand pair it with my 2.5" borla exhaust i just got,just not sure if i should do catless or with cat... i could always keep my oem headers and swap if i need to do emissions XD
w/ cat would definitely be best. without a cat it definitely sounds a little raspier so just make note of that if you decide to go that route!

did the tsudo exhaust bolt up to the stock cat/down pipe ?
had to bore the holes out a little on the stock cat and just for best fitment i did end up getting a 2.5 to 3in adapter

Hey I just told Tyler, the tsudo seems to be out of manufacturing now, but the Invidia N1 is a good replacement for it.

I believe both of these would fit your car just fine, there’s no notable differences between 2010/11 that I know of

I’m sure you could get a tune, but it’s n/a and I haven’t seen a single problem so I don’t think it’d be worth it
How long did Inferno take to manufacture?
It’s definitely a bit of a wait, my example took about 5-6 months but between COVID and other things it made the wait a lot longer than it usually would be. I believe normally it’s around 2-3 months
where did you purchase the tsudo n1? Ive been looking everywhere
I got mine from se motors a few months back. Not sure if they stopped making it or something? Your next best bet would an invidia n1

@@Dripz nah you’re not gonna find anything for regular n/a imprezas, what you’ll have to look for are wrx parts just make sure to check for whether it’s for a sedan or hatchback depending on whichever you have. In my case I had a hatchback and everything fit okay but I needed to bore out the holes on the stock mid pipe cause the screws that came with the exhaust were a bit too big but that was it. I also got some longer exhaust hangers just to help fitment. It’s not a perfect swap but it’s definitely doable!

@@Dripz yeah definitely, otherwise it’s a real pain to install and you’ll probably end up with the tip rubbing against and then melting your rear bumper which you don’t want. I just found some generic ones at my auto parts store that did the job but you have lots of options!
Would that setup fit on a 2011 2.0L Impreza Hatch
if it's within the same year i think it should, i would reach out about the headers though in case i'm not 100% sure. catback should be just fine

do u know where i could get cheap unl headers for 09 impreza r sedan? kinda cheap
eBay I’d guess, anything you find there though you’ll probably have to take to an exhaust shop to get fitted cause as far as I can tell no one makes generic uel’s for n/a cars, only way you’ll find them is with custom made sets which aren’t the cheapest

These are made custom fit so no mods are necessary

@@aidanpower560 I got both the headers and exhaust on a sale so altogether it was about $800-$900 if I remember correctly

Oh no, there’s still a cat so it’s just noise, maybe w a tune you could accomplish that but I wouldn’t personally go for it
