Thanks ever so much Roger 🙏 - thats extremely lovely of you to say so, and hugely appreciated. I love filming and then editing these little adventures 👌
Congratulations Phil, great views and great bikes. It was a very good video, I hope there will be more. Dam view was perfect dude, I didn't realize how the time passed while watching the video :))) By the way it's great to drive in the snow. I'm looking forward to new videos. Have a nice day, good luck. Have fun.
Always a pleasure to hear from you Atakan 💯 - and really appreciate your support and kind wishes 🙏. Sister Jayne and I have moved house - and have been without internet, so normal service on the videos will resume soon! Driving in the snow is beautiful 🤩
@Bike Racing Without Mercy Congratulations Lovett family. :))) I am very happy to receive this good news. your new house. I wish you and my sister jane happiness in your new home. I hope you train better in your new home in Zwift :))) Thank you for everything, my friend. Good luck. Have fun. 👏🚴♂️☕
Cheers John - was great to ride with you 👌 And agreed, what a place for a group ride - phenomenal 🤩. And thanks ever so much - appreciate your kind support 🙏
Thanks Pete 🙏 - and it truly is one of the most beautify places to cycle, with the descents giving amazing views down the roads as well as the scenery with no cars - absolutely incredible 👌
Thanks ever so much Tommy 🙏 - was an amazing day out - proper hard, but so so rewarding. It’s amazing to see your progression - you are evolving into one hell of an athlete - and to run up Snowdonia the next day !!!! 😅
Perfectly captured that feeling of utter hopelessness on Bwlch-y-Groes when you turn that final hairpin and realise there's still 500m to go at >10% 😂 that view at15:30 too, beautifully captured - I've never been able to do it justice! Fantastic video mate, and brilliant editing with the music and cinematography really capturing the mood (mostly jovial apart from at the top of bwlch-y-groes in the snow!), top top work as always and a great momento of a fantastic day. Thanks mate.
Too kind Nick 🙏💯 - and there is no doubt when you see the road going off to the right you hope above hope the segment will end …… but you know deep down Snowdonia’s got more in store 🤣🥵 - there was so much terrain I wish I’d hit record on - but when you said around that corner there is an amazing view - it surpassed all my expectations🤩. Loved this loop - prettier even than the North in terms of the climbs and descents
Your neck of the woods, is absolutely sublime, Simon🤩 - its such an incredible experience to visit and ride there 💯 I was buzzing all the following week - and really want to get back soon 👌🏴
Thanks for the flattering mention in your video Phill. I'll be saving a personal copy for my library of Epic Rides. It was a pleasure to ride with the legend that is BRWM, and hopefully not for the last time :-D
Pleasure Paul - you are super strong, and have that focussed keep pressing on mindset - and I can see why you were so successful in the racing ✊. And for sure very much looking forward to getting back up your way for the next meet - was a really special day, and lovely to meet you in person…. Northern loop will be harder …. And still not sure I could do both together 🥵
It was a really wonderful day, wasn’t it Craig - and amazing to meet you in person . And once again so sorry that my camera failed me at the top of Stwlan - and next time it will be good to ride more of it with you. An absolute beast of a ride - but sublime 🤩
2 for 1 Phill & Ed on the same video , OMG that would be brutal in the Summer never mind bitter cold conditions , scenery looked stunning , great content once again Phill 👍👏🚴
Double Bubble, Brian ! 💯. Agreed this is some of the hardest riding in the U.K. - relentless climbing and a lot of it steep 😅. We did the Northern Loop on a perfect sunny and warm day in October - and that was for sure the Hardest 100km I’ve ever done - check out the video of that name 👌
Harsh weather make hard climbs even harder Phill, outstanding ride with sheer commitment on the Welsh ramps! They sure know how to make the English suffer.....epic outing! Good luck with the move both of you!!
Believe it or not I think we were so focussed on just making it up the climb, we weren’t aware of just how hard it was snowing at the top!! But for sure - the rain, snow and general cold made for a big challenge - and helped us appreciate the final 1/3 of tel the route in better weather. Those roads are something else - highly recommended 👌. And thanks - looking forward to our new place
Thanks Agnes 🙏 - it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the world no doubt! And as always love meeting the Dutchies - and there is talk of a meet up in NL !! Timing TBA - but maybe I can see you in person !!
That’s really lovely of you Lee - and thanks ever so much 🙏. A pleasure to film and share - and for sure those roads were absolutely epic - well worth a visit 👌
You’re spoilt for choice with beautiful roads, vistas and unbelievable climbs, Jeff 💯 🤩 - I absolutely adore it in Snowdonia - not even the weather could take the edge off it 👌
Thanks ever so much Austin 🙏 - and for sure this is an incredible part of the U.K. to explore - and seriously tough but rewarding cycling - absolutely loved it 💯 Just making it up the tough climbs feels incredible - highly recommended 👌
Amazing there's areas in this world you can ride and have such little car traffic. From the second I leave to the second I get back I have to worry about getting ran over by a car even when I head into the mountains, yet I still find cycling relaxing.
Agreed Peat - it’s an absolute luxury - almost like having closed roads! And the views give loads of warning of any cars . And in London and the South East - it’s the same for me as you - hence I do a lot on the turbo or go to the Velo Circuits if just to train. 👌
It truly is sublime Tim 💯🤩 - and given Snowdonia and the Lakes are reasonably close together (c2.5 hour drive away) - it’s well worth a trip across the pond for you 💯
It was really good to ride with you IRL - and for sure on some of the most spectacular roads in the U.K. - and when you come next I’d suggest both Snowdonia and the Lake District which is not too far away - both are perfection 👌🤩
Thanks Tommy 🙏 - that’s massively appreciated Sir ! The roads were some of the most beautiful and cycling friendly I’ve ridden in the U.K. - I mean even enjoyed the descents 🤩👌
Cheers Simon 🙏 - and no question, Snowdonia is the hardest place I’ve cycled - on the steep stuff, time stands still as you sit at or above FTP - just getting up is massively rewarding 😅
Hi Phil, awesome stuff again! great footage, keep them coming! Those Snowdonia climbs sure looked challenging ! Even Ed was taking it easy up that beast in those tough conditions.. I thought nothing beat the Lake District for climbs (I'm just back from my second little trip there and went up some of the greatest) but it looks like the UK is full of surprises when it comes to brutal yet stunning climbs! Looking forward to exploring more of those in the future. Best regards from a hill loving Frenchman in Devon
Thanks ever so much Matthieu 🙏 - from a mountain loving Englishman in London! I adore the Lake District - and there is no doubt it has some of the toughest climbs in the U.K. - and simply sublime scenery. I find that some of the big climbs in Snowdonia go on for about 400-800m further - which feels a lot more on 12-20% gradients, and for me Blwch and Colwyd are the 2 toughest climbs I’ve ever encountered - and Stwlan Damn is right up there with Blea Tarn and Wrynose Pass for beauty (albeit an easier climb). I highly recommend a visit to Snowdonia - you won’t be disappointed 👌💯
@@BikeRacingWithoutMercy Many thanks for taking the time to reply Phil and for your recommendations, much appreciated! I did see your effort up the Colwyd too, what an absolutely riveting watch that was, edge of seat stuff, felt the pain as if I were there, chapeau!! If you ever come to Devon, be sure to check out the Dartmoor national park climbs, you won't find anything as long and steep as in Snowdonia or the Lake District of course, however there's an inexhaustible wealth of fairly unknown and steep climbs in and around that area (besides the main one up Haytor where Ed Laverack won this national title a few years ago) that would keep you entertained for weeks ! All the best and looking forward to seeing more of your climbing adventures, Mathieu.
Cheers Pete - and yep, the Northern loop is harder, and does need dry roads . Nick’s going to schedule it first for the next effort I believe - what a place to cycle ehhh! And boy were you strong on the steep stuff 💪
Cheers Ethan 🙏 - next time !! And cold was the name of the game - I had to wear 2 pairs of everything - including leg warmers under my long legged bibs !
Wonderful video Phill and the brute of a climb. But I have to ask the million dollar question, did you actually drop Ed on that climb. 😮 you were climbing like a mountain goat.
Thanks Tony 🙏 and was great to see you on the steam earlier 👍. As to your million $ question …. alas no! Ed did most of the climb one handed - or with a go pro in his mouth!!! His video shows all . But yep - was more than chuffed to make it up - albeit not quite as bad as Colwyd 😅
Thanks Paul 🙏 - and I’m shy of the cold also! I had two pairs of everything on - including leg warmers under the bibs and arm warmers under the jersey and winter jacket 😅
Done Bwlch y groes twice had to push first time, was over the moon to get up the second time , as you say the key is to keep something in the tank for the last km as it is just sickening. Well done Phil
Cheers JK - and yep - that final KM is something else - especially on the back of the first part - literally time stands still 🤣. Nice one for getting the job done - you can see how relieved I was to have made it up 😅
Thanks Don 🙏 - super kind of you! I weigh about 63kg and the cameras add about 1.5 and I had 2 pairs of everything on that day - so likely closer to 67 on the bike !
What beautiful rides and no Phil it sure doesn't look easy from this sofa. Chapeau sir
Thanks Clive 🙏 Snowdonia is indeed extremely beautiful and… extremely steep in part 😅. Highly recommended part of the world to explore 👌💯
Phil, I enjoy your wit and intelligence almost as much as the scenery.
Thanks ever so much Roger 🙏 - thats extremely lovely of you to say so, and hugely appreciated. I love filming and then editing these little adventures 👌

Brave in the cold ... nice going Champ
Thanks Zaahier 🙏 - can’t wait for some warmer, sunnier weather! But Snowdonia was spectacular - worth braving the cold 💯
Great recap Phil...If we didn't all want it already, this has certainly made me look forward to the next BP grand meetup! Captured it really well!
Cheers John - was great to ride with you 👌 And agreed, what a place for a group ride - phenomenal 🤩. And thanks ever so much - appreciate your kind support 🙏
Amazing views and great work from everyone.. awesome Phil :)

Well down Phil some tasty climbs in my homeland phenomenal effort in some horrible weather.
