For everyone concerned about this not being an exact replica please watch the end of the video! I know its not perfect, and I've changed many things after the fact including: smooth face, TW stamp on the bumpers, and a site dot. Ive made it a goal now to do an exact replica in the future. EVEN THE PING GRIP, which Im not a fan of 😂😂. Anyways, thanks for watching, and for the support everyone!
@jonaspareja Just to let you know, I personally will not be able to do another Tiger Replica with a Studio Style. That was a one off with the mill I use. And you'd be hard pressed to find anyone else to do that work. If you're looking for a replica, other NP2 models are recommended.
This turned out sick! and whoever did all that custom work with the insert welding and milling did a great job turning that studio style into an elder wand lol
Well the sight dot is easy. You just need to straight plunge a hole with a mill. To delete a sightline it is filled with a tig weld, and then milled flat.
I see a lot of SC with the ping grips. Sure he rocks it but that’s him. Doesn’t mean we have to if we don’t like it. This is a future build spec I want!!! Blue paint fill on mine tho on my NP 2. Thanks for my great inspiration my man!!!! 👌🏽
Thank you. I sort of thought so as well. But curious. Is the content that's better? Or the quality of the video itself? Just curious. I'll be honest I'm terrible with creativity, editing videoing ect. So any feedback would be great!
Not a fan of it really. I put these Tour Tradition grips on all of my gamers. Wasn't going for an exact replica as the ending stated but, maybe a future project I'll do one from the grip to all the stamping.
That was mineral spirits. And I blasted the first time just to get all the paint off from inside the cavity. Needed to be as clean as possible for welding.
Turned out great. I had a Teryllium like he used from the 97 Masters. Other than the few things mentioned at the end its close to his. Ping grip is one item missed and he has a dot stamped into the top line. Im not a 100% on the line either and I thought he had some script or something on the bottom. Otherwise great job. Either way you get that similar feel for a fraction of the cost.
Yes. I realize it's not an exact replica. His had a dot on the topline and no sightline. Also had scotty cameron stamped on the face and his name stamped on the bumpers. Wasn't going for an exact replica, as the end of the video clearly stated.
That's about as close as you're going to get. Any replicas of the famous 1999 GSS Newport are few and far between and probably not for sale. Tiger did use a heel stamp Teryllium to win at the Masters in 97. I have one of those, so I guess I could say I have a copy of Tiger's putter.
@@igolf906 I'm no fabricator or metal shop worker, and I don't want to take even an old Scotty and screw it up. Is there any place you can send them to and get a full on facelift like what you did on this putter? It would be really cool to get a spot on replica of THE Newport, but that's way out of my skill set. How did you get the Titleist logo on the back?
🤷♂️ This is one of my personal gamers. Not concerned with some marks from an old ball lol. Plus I've Refinished the face on this after this video to a smooth face
To be honest, this was a one off with a Studio Style. Unless you can personally find someone to do all that custom work. I've seen Pro Platinums and even Art of Putting Newports used that would be more cost efficient.
How does it sound with no padding btwn the face and the body???? Like an old PING? And what's the deal with making a Tiger replica then putting a cheap-o golf pride grip on it when you could get a PP58 for like $20? Why don't you like them? (...read that below)
Yes, I am well aware of the differences. He also has his name stamped on the bumpers along with Scotty Cameron stamped on the face. I have since added the TW stamp and sight dot but, wanted to keep the sightline and no face stamps. It wasn't intended to be an exact replica.
At first I didn't really want it since I was keeping the sight line. Wasn't looking for an exact replica but I did end up adding it anyways after the fact. Will be posting an update pic tonight.
You went to all that trouble and didn't finish the job. The "Tiger Woods" Scotty Cameron has the following features: 1. The face is polished and not milled 2. The rear of the putter doesn't have an aiming line 3. Tiger has a dot on the top of the face to show the sweet spot 4. Beside the front dot to the left "Scotty Cameron" is stamped vertically like 2 stripes in line with the neck of the putter 5. "Tiger" and "Woods" is stamped on the rear face of the heel and toe Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful looking putter. I love the more traditional look without an insert and the clean base but this putter isn't even close to being called a "Tiger Woods" Scotty Cameron replica.
Maybe you should watch the entire video and you would know he wasn't trying to make an exact replica. You think he doesn't know these things? LOL 😂 "A dent in the top!" You obviously have zero clue what you're talking about.

I’m on the hunt now for a beat up GSS! 👌🏽😆
I passed one up for $250 cnd! 🤦🏽♂️ wasn’t even beat up.

One of the coolest projects you have done so far!
I would agree!

😉
Is it O’Hare?
I just happened upon your channel and this is the first video I get to see. I’ll be subscribing and bingeing your channel. Nice work!
Awesome! Thanks!
those camera angles and that ending! beautiful putter!
So hypothetically if you wanted to remove that line and add the tiger red dot 🔴 how would you do it 🤔
Well the sight dot is easy. You just need to straight plunge a hole with a mill. To delete a sightline it is filled with a tig weld, and then milled flat.
😳 Simply Marvelous
Thank you!
Great finished product!
Thank you.
Looks great. You need to put the black out Pingman grip on it though!
Not a fan of them really. These GP Tour Classics IMO are the best grip for the money if that's your style grip.
I see a lot of SC with the ping grips. Sure he rocks it but that’s him. Doesn’t mean we have to if we don’t like it.

What grit wheels do you use?
240. Or just Fine for 3M wheels
Amazing. Do you do custom work? If I supplied the putter could this be done ?
Shoot me an email
Great work
Thanks
The best video of the channel

What’s the first song playing called
Tatami - Homecoming
Fkn sick job! Awesome work, man
Thank you!
Beautiful job. How come you didn't put a Pingman grip on it???
Not really a fan of them. I did this one to actually game, so used a grip I'm used to.
Wow well done mate
Thank you!
Beautiful work
Thank you!
How does it roll the ball?
Beautifully.
Great stuff. What type of compressor do you use for your sandblasting?
Thanks. I just switched over to the 80 gallon version of this. amzn.to/3VOkEH8
Looks amazing! what is the solution you used for the tour dots before the red paint?
Mineral spirits. Makes the paint flow better and seems to help with small bubbles
Where can i buy one?
I don't really sell putters often. Just work on others
Beautiful!!
Thank you!
what did you drip in before laying the painfill?
acetone
Mineral spirits.
Great work, would love to see it minus the line with a dot on top
I know that's what Tigers had but wasn't going for an exact replica. I did end up adding a sight dot and the Tiger Woods stamping on the bumpers.
Do you notice a difference in softness with the GSS faces?
Personally I feel I do. I wouldn't say it's softer, but more of a springy click than standard 303. It gives me a similar feel as a copper insert.
Need the ping grip ..Very nice job!
Not a fan of it really. I put these Tour Tradition grips on all of my gamers. Wasn't going for an exact replica as the ending stated but, maybe a future project I'll do one from the grip to all the stamping.
That is superb. What is the clear you add to the dots before the red? Also why do you blast them buff?
That was mineral spirits. And I blasted the first time just to get all the paint off from inside the cavity. Needed to be as clean as possible for welding.
@@igolf906 cool. I think we call that white spirits in the UK, not 100% sure though.
@@dannybrant6758 did a quick search. Looks like they're essentially the same thing!
@@igolf906 what would be the reason of adding this?
@dannybrant6758 it helps the paint flow better and also helps to prevent bubbles.
So if I wanted to do something similar to this what would you charge me for it?
Shoot me an email
what did you end up with for a head weight?? looks nice
333g
do you do custom work? And if so if i supplied you a putter could you do this for me?
Shoot me an email we can talk.
That looks awesome. So how was it filled in? Using tig welding then machined?
Exactly yes! I source the weld and milling so, can't really show that process. Hopefully in the future I can!
@igolf906 who did it? could u tellme the source?
Turned out great. I had a Teryllium like he used from the 97 Masters. Other than the few things mentioned at the end its close to his. @@industrialpalletworx3548 thank you
Is it for sale?
It is not. Sorry. This one will be staying in the rotation.
Lovely job, ignore the purists and enjoy your artful restoration. BTW, what was the clear liquid and the red dye in the hole?
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it! It was mineral spirits, and then Tamiya paint.
What paint did you use for the red buddy? This looks sick
Check the description! I have links to the 3 main colors Scotty uses. Red, Blue & Green
That is a quality conversation
Thank you!
Holy smoke! I have one of those !
How much would you charge to do this for my putter
It won't be done with a Studio Style, but if you have another type of Newport shoot me an email we can talk about what can be done.
That's about as close as you're going to get. Any replicas of the famous 1999 GSS Newport are few and far between and probably not for sale. Tiger did use a heel stamp Teryllium to win at the Masters in 97. I have one of those, so I guess I could say I have a copy of Tiger's putter.
Many exact replicas have been made as far as looks goes. I wasn't going for exact, I just wanted that GSS feel from the insert.

I’ve been dying for a Tiger Woods Replica putter. I have a Scotty.
To be honest, this was a one off with a Studio Style. Unless you can personally find someone to do all that custom work. I've seen Pro Platinums and even Art of Putting Newports used that would be more cost efficient.

It's actually one of the better feeling Newports I've ever tried. It's GSS and the face is solid. As for the grips, it's just personal preference.
Need the ping grip.
I'm not a fan of it. I put these GP Tour Traditions on all my putters.
Wait.
So at 3:15 - "here's the cool stuff" - howcome we don't get to see how it completely changed in design?
😂
All of my custom weld and mill work gets sent to O'Hare milling. I'd love to show videos of that work getting done. Maybe in the future.
@@igolf906 Ahhhh I did wonder!
It's an awesome refurb. anyway!
👏🏼
Wow! That's beautiful!!!!
Thank you!
what is the reason you blast the new milled face ? do you always do that ? ... of course you did an excellent job,Your welcome.
Yes I always blast the face to match the rest of the putter. Only if I'm doing a smooth sanded face I usually don't blast.
Insane work, no pp58 grip is kinda criminal
I don't like it. I've tried it before and it's a tad too small. These GP Tour Tradition grips are perfect. I put them on all my putters.
excellent work anyways! thats some goat shit indeed@@igolf906
You forgot the red dot on the top
Personally didn't want it. Ended up adding it later but, this wasn't intended to be an exact replica.
Since Tiger doesn't...does the putter at least lasts 2 days....?
🤦♂️ I agree that maybe he should think about hanging it up. But he'll always be the GOAT, and the reason I, and many others even play golf 🤷♂️
True, he was...but now he's a Has-Been....just like many us that grew older...just a fact@@igolf906
I want mine done. 😂
Can't do it again with a Studio Style 🤣 but if you have another model NP2 we can discuss that! Shoot me an email.
Great job except the site line shouldn’t be there. Tiger has a dot on the top rail, no line in the cavity.
Yet again, maybe you should watch the entire video before posting. You think he doesn't know these things???

Yeah that GSS is only the insert not the putter.
Yes, that was sort of the point of the build. Getting the same feel of a GSS putter/insert without the costs of $1000s for a solid GSS Tour putter.
@@igolf906 Can you order 303 from Germany and mill one from scratch?
@bertraminc9412 No. Not many people/companies that would do that either.

I wouldn't be able to with a Studio Style. But other models can be talked about.
