I've grown to accept the fact that I don't read at superhuman speed, and I like my reading pace because I can take everything in and appreciate the story and book more along with the writing.
What you said about losing people to death and conflict- I AGREE!!! My friends are the most important people in my life and any time there is any kind of drama i get really sad!! I hope you never have to lose yours Jesse!
Hi Jesse, I took a semester of Japanese and learned so much, I could even write in the language. If you truly want to pursue it I would totally recommend you to. It looks hard, but once you know the basics it's way easier than it seems :)
OMG when you were talking about 5H I was LIVINGGGG. I actually didn't know you liked them! But same @ being afraid they're gonna break up, and SAMEEE @ ur love for Lauren. I love her so! much!!! I met them once and when I hugged her I didn't wanna let go lol. She's so perfect 😩, they all are!!
BAYMAX!!!! Can never have too many Baymax's. Book patronus would be ACOTAR, not just for the romance but the amazing camaraderie of the characters, humour perseverance and plots twists! Love that Miss Peregrine's still your top fave. When you feel such a strong affinity with book, its like a friend forever.
You already reminded me of Percy Jackson so much, so seeing all of your blue shirts made me think that more. Also I love Baymax! The little details like when he copies Hiro's actions make me want to hug him. I wish I could have a Baymax.
Jesse if you like anime you should watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood!! It's honestly the most amazing thing I have ever watched, you will love it!! Also Yuri on Ice and Haikyuu!!! 😊
Omg Yuri on Ice is so amazing!!!! I really love the direction they took it and how they portray such a realistic and healthy relationship, but figure-skating remains the main focus. I seriously love all the characters so much xD
Anthisbooknest FMAB is amazing! I loved ERASED as well, Hinazuki went through so much. You should continue watching anime. I personally love Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Code Geass and Attack on Titan. Try AnoHana, Your Lie in April, Puella Magi Madoka Magica to start with if you're interested.
Hey Jesse, my book patronus... Oh my god, that is kind of a complicated question! But I think I will have to say, "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe". When I read it, I laughed, I cried... I became so engaged in the lives of those boys it was like I was in the story with them. I like to read, but I don't read that quickly or that often. Every once in a while, a book will floor me and leave me with all the feels. "Aristotle and Dante" did that for me!
Ever been in one of those situations where you don't plan to spend your money but then you see a book sale and you know you just have to get something? Lol, that happened to me today. I was at my college at Ivy Tech and there was a book fair going on. Plus the money was going to a good cause, so I bought some books today in a snap decision, lol! In case anyone wondered I bought Red Queen and Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard.
this reminded me that i have to do an anime recommendations video but to recommend some animes: Code Geass, Wolf's Rain, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. I relate to how you feel about your grandma. That's how I feel about my grandpa also I'm taking Japanese this semester and I have found it so much easier than I thought it would be. Fangirl would be my book patronus hands down. That was straight up my freshman year of college (minus the cute coffee drinking boy)
Never bash your love for Miss P! I finished Hollow City recently and the first two books are so brilliant, I am absolutely captivated and can't wait to finish the trilogy
My book patronus would probably be Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira - It's not necessarily my favorite book in the world but I've read it twice at two completely different points in my life and so different pieces of the plot and subplot stood out to me as the most powerful and the most relatable because the context of where I was in my life both times I read it completely changed the experience. I think that's really cool for a book to be able to mold to me in different ways.
50 pages is a lot more than me :( I can barely read 30 pages. *_Ugh_*. But these are, I guess, adult books and the font size in the books I read are smaller than Young Adult books.
my book patronus would be the land of stories: worlds collide ! this book was amazing and made me so so so happy! (didn’t want to choose harry potter because i thought it’d be too generic lol😂)
My book Patronus would be Queen of Shadows because damn I just feel so satisfied when I read it. I dunno why. I know there are, like a lot of scenes where the feels just hit you, but seriously it's golden
My book Patronus would probably be Into the Wild by Erin Hunter. I read this in like middle school, and it has shaped my life and the way I think of nature as a whole. Definitely would recommend. Sadly, it has been years and I do not think I could start reading the newer ones just because I felt that the last one I read was a good conclusion to the series.
I think my book patronus would be Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine or Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry. Both are stories about young women who are outcasts in really bad situations. Both work super hard in the face of adversity without ever sacrificing themselves. Both of those books mean so much to me that even when I'm couch hopping I carry my beat up copies with me. When everything is dark, books become so much more than stories. They are hope.
Fun video! Windwitch is one that I'm really looking forward to, also. Your Six of Crows mug is beautiful! Totally agree with you about Fantasy, if I had to read only one genre for the rest of my life -- the sky is the limit! I think my book patronus would be Fly by Night by Frances Hardinge. If you haven't read it, you should. Her books are kind of hit & miss for me, but this one was amazing.
My book patronous would be Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger! Since I want to be ladylike, a spy, amazingly smart, and a daredevil all wrapped into one!
So excited for Windwitch! My book patronus... Hmm. Probably Beauty by Robin McKinley. It is a classic for me and I feel like it encompasses everything right with fairytales, which are my favorite things. Also, Japanese is so complex. My best friend is currently in Japan studying because she is learning the language. Seeing her grow in her comprehension and speaking ability has been exciting, but I just don't have the patience to learn a new language (one thing I will forever hate is that I am impatient when it comes to practicing things. I want to snap my fingers and be a master at once.)
I think my book patronus would be The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. It's just so beautiful and whimsy and I like to think I'm a whimsical person!
No shame, I have I squishy Baymax and love him. And I bought winter Stitch this year....He has a Christmas sweater and plaid vest. He's also Mainer Stitch to me.
My patronus book would definately be Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children aka the best novel ever written! Also I LOVE fantasy books. And if I could learn a language it would probably be Japanese, Swedish or Italian, because I love how they sound and French is my first language, English is my second and I know a little bit of spanish.
Duolingo is great for learning languages, and it doesn't take up a ton of time if you don't want it to. I'm learning Norwegian and re-learning Spanish and it's super helpful, so I'd definitely suggest it!
I'm currently learning Japanese through school and it is a very hard language to master, but I went to Japan this year (through school) and I definitely recommend you go there if you get the chance because it is so great if you are learning and it is such an amazing experience! (and I got 6 books all written in Japanese which I cant read well) (5 from studio Ghibli! oops!) but If you really want to learn Japanese, I say go for it! because it is such an amazing language!
My book patronus is definitely A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas mainly because I fell in love with the characters in the world but also because I find Sarah J Maas to be an amazingly inspirational person and if sh could live her dreams and be an author why can't I? I ask myself the question every single day and right now I am so close to finding the right agent and I hope one day soon that my book could be on your bookshelf. But seriously, don't we all dream?
Erased is truly mind blowing!!!! My book Patronus would have to be...A court of Mist and Fury. this is a really hard question but ACOMAF is probably the most accurate one to be my Patronus, not only for the memories I have with the book but what the characters taught me.
My book patronus... hmm that's a hard one. Literally so many books make me more emotional than happy to read so I don't know if I have an answer. I think I'd probably say the all of a kind family series because my mom read me the first one and then one year for Christmas she searched and found me the next two books in the series. Plus my grandma who used to save me and my siblings books saved me one of them and I found it at her house probably a year or so after she died of cancer. So I just have a special connection with them. Also I loved all of Beverly cleary's books when I was little. Ramona was my spirit animal.
My book patronus would probably be the Red Queen series because Mare is just so amazingly awesome (awesomely amazing?) and the action in it is so captivating!
I love your videos, and would have to go with Heir of Fire for my book patronus. I absolutely fell in love with the series, but Heir of Fire is my absolute favorite from the series.
How about this alternative of the “stranded on an island” question: if you were stranded in an island, what fictional animal from a book would you like to be stranded on the island with you?
Okay I can't decide but my book Patronus would be either Pride and Prejudice, Wonder, or Anne of Green Gables. They all leave me feeling all warm and happy inside.
Hey Jesse, loved the video as usual!! I really appreciate the amount of effort you put in your videos!!! My book patronus would surely be Harry Potter or Hunger Games and I am looking forward to read the Peculiar Children trilogy.. I love Fifth Harmony as well *high five* and Normani is my favourite but I love Lauren too!!! I am learning Japanese and it's not that complicated but I would love to learn French someday!!
my book patronus would be The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. It was just so good and so refreshing. I could still feel the feels it gave me last year. XD
I highly recommend the anime films Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I've heard that Mushishi is also a very good, magical, chill, anime series. I honestly have no clue which book would be my patronus. I'd rather pick a series as a whole! Maybe The Riyria Revelations series.
If I used a book title to describe my life it would be The Hunger Games cuz I'm always hungry, duh😂😂
Wow smart
"Jesse's Home For Peculiar Reads"
Honestly
Not that bad
Right!?! Am I the only one who loved that like come on!!! 😍 That's a great name for his channel
I believe no age is too old for cute and fluffy stuffed animals...I MEAN WHO DOESN'T LIKE CUTE AND FLUFFY THINGS
furries
THANK YOU
I'm with u sis
I agree with you. A lot of people love cute and fluffy live animals. So why judge someone for loving a stuffed animal?
"fifty shades of blue"
the funny thing is, the ad before this video was the trailer for fifty shades darker 😂
I've grown to accept the fact that I don't read at superhuman speed, and I like my reading pace because I can take everything in and appreciate the story and book more along with the writing.
I love Q&A'S 💕 haha can't believe how many blue shirts you have 😂
"the sky is the limit with fantasy" LOOK INTO YOUR EYES AND THE SKY'S THE LIMIT I'M HELPLEEESSS
LivedWithin ALEXANDER HAMILTON ❤❤❤❤
DOWN FOR THE COUNT AND I'M DROWNING IN EM !!!!!!!!
#hamfam
You are never too old for stuffed animals.
No joke how are you able to film and edit so many good videos so quickly? Are you the God of Awesomeness from Percy Jackson or something?
Yaz go percy jackson
I think my book patronus would be Percy Jackson Series
Book patronous- Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets of The Universe
Hi 5! same
I want to hug you every time I'm watching your video.
These questions were so good! *frantically googles Erased*
My book patronus would be the raven boys
Emma Green me to. That’s my favorite book ever ❤️👍👍👍
What you said about losing people to death and conflict- I AGREE!!! My friends are the most important people in my life and any time there is any kind of drama i get really sad!! I hope you never have to lose yours Jesse!
ACOMAF is definitely my book patronus 💕
OMG I was so surprised when you said The Challenge. My all time favourite show.
mine too, what did you think of last season when Johnny Bananas took all the money from Sarah?
My book patronus would either be A Darker Shade Of Magic or The Dream Thieves. >.
Hi Jesse, I took a semester of Japanese and learned so much, I could even write in the language. If you truly want to pursue it I would totally recommend you to. It looks hard, but once you know the basics it's way easier than it seems :)
there are many apps to learn like 20 words a day :)
i learned japanese in the past 3 years in school and its hard af for me. im just not good at it lol!!!
cristinasjourney All the. kanji stuff are pretty complicated oh, and so is the pronunciations to non-japanese people😅
I was not paying attention to the screen and Jesse's whoosh sound scared the fluff out of me
Reading Illuminae right now, and WHOA ITS PRETTY AMAZING
I literally squealed for a minute when you mentioned Erased
Throne of Glass would be my book patronus
"Because I'm lame and obsessive" the way you said that 😂😂
OMG when you were talking about 5H I was LIVINGGGG. I actually didn't know you liked them! But same @ being afraid they're gonna break up, and SAMEEE @ ur love for Lauren. I love her so! much!!! I met them once and when I hugged her I didn't wanna let go lol. She's so perfect 😩, they all are!!

Love that Miss Peregrine's still your top fave. When you feel such a strong affinity with book, its like a friend forever.
my book patronus would probably be Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell because I related so much to everything that happened in that book
I totally agree about Gemina being awesome. I didn't think it could possibly blow my mind as much as Illuminae did, but boy was I wrong!

How can someone possibly be so relatable?!
His lighting is bomb af 👌
I'm EXACTLY the same way about losing people, Jesse. It's so sad.
You've always been one of my fav booktubers and now I know why, because we have so much in common! I freaking loved Erased!!
Ever been in one of those situations where you don't plan to spend your money but then you see a book sale and you know you just have to get something? Lol, that happened to me today. Fangirl would be my book patronus hands down. That was straight up my freshman year of college (minus the cute coffee drinking boy)
okay, I'm watching this in 2018 and I feel so bad for 2016 Jesse bc his favorite band just broke up and he was worried about that
I'm sure I'd be a lot more in love with that mug too if I've actually read Six of Crows...the shame is thrown at myself lol
Never bash your love for Miss P! I finished Hollow City recently and the first two books are so brilliant, I am absolutely captivated and can't wait to finish the trilogy
"...because I'm lame and obsessive" SAME

mine would be Eleanor and Park! I just love that book so much and every time I read it it makes me super happy

Fun video! Windwitch is one that I'm really looking forward to, also. Your Six of Crows mug is beautiful! The Challenge is so great! I also love The Real World and I love reality TV too. I agree, it's just so good!

The Lightning Thief would be mine cuz I am also very obsessed with that series.
No shame, I have I squishy Baymax and love him. And I bought winter Stitch this year....He has a Christmas sweater and plaid vest. He's also Mainer Stitch to me.
When he was asked "What would you rename your channel if you had to."
I automatically thought Dorianthereader.
My patronus book would definately be Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children aka the best novel ever written! Also I LOVE fantasy books. The laugh at the end of the blue shirt part killed me lmao
I'm currently learning Japanese through school and it is a very hard language to master, but I went to Japan this year (through school) and I definitely recommend you go there if you get the chance because it is so great if you are learning and it is such an amazing experience! Fangirl would be my book patronus haha
Jesse is too pure for me
My book patronus is definitely A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas mainly because I fell in love with the characters in the world but also because I find Sarah J Maas to be an amazingly inspirational person and if sh could live her dreams and be an author why can't I? I ask myself the question every single day and right now I am so close to finding the right agent and I hope one day soon that my book could be on your bookshelf. But seriously, don't we all dream?
HP and the Deathly Hallows. Definitely my book Patronus; I have a lot of fun memories associated with it.
THE CHALLENGE!!! That show is so addictive
Erased is truly mind blowing!!!!
My book Patronus would have to be...A court of Mist and Fury. this is a really hard question but ACOMAF is probably the most accurate one to be my Patronus, not only for the memories I have with the book but what the characters taught me.
My book patronus would definitely be The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan because the Percy Jackson series is what made me a reader and fangirl.☺️💕
My book patronus would probably be ACOMAF because Rhys.... But also I love the Lux series and Daemon Black soooo
Great video! (As usual😂) Mine would probably be ACOMAF by Sarah J Maas💙
Adeline Mine would be (probably) Tog also by Sarah J Maas!😂
A book YOU introduced me to! Six of Crows! It's like Leigh Bardugo wrote my SOUL.
My book patronus would probably be the Red Queen series because Mare is just so amazingly awesome (awesomely amazing?) and the action in it is so captivating!
My book patronus would be Shadowhunter's Codex because I love allll of the series written in this world. xx
Just FYI, you are amazing Jesse😄. I love your vids, and you're my favorite booktuber ever! Keep being peculiarly awesome 👏 and happy reading!
Okay I can't decide but my book Patronus would be either Pride and Prejudice, Wonder, or Anne of Green Gables. They all leave me feeling all warm and happy inside.
Gone with the wind is my patronus

I love Fifth Harmony as well *high five* and Normani is my favourite but I love Lauren too!!!
I am learning Japanese and it's not that complicated but I would love to learn French someday!!
my book patronus would be The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. It was just so good and so refreshing. I could still feel the feels it gave me last year. XD
my book patronus would be Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren or almost any Harry Potter book. They make me soooo Happy when I read them
I highly recommend the anime films Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I've heard that Mushishi is also a very good, magical, chill, anime series.
I honestly have no clue which book would be my patronus. I'd rather pick a series as a whole! Maybe The Riyria Revelations series.
