Literally every single time I went on trips with school. Even when it was just a city 50 klm away I spent all the money I had in books. But as others have mentioned most books are really expensive in my country so I always opted for the English paperbacks.
I spent €79 on Amazon today, and, honestly, that was my exact excuse along with "This one is out of print and just a few used copies are left" and "They don't want money for deliver, NO MONEY FOR DELIVER" and "This one is so pretty and it's already on my list, so why not?" and "I just read the reviews and it is so great, I have to have it" and "Who the fuck needs their Christmas Money, right, it's over anyway"
