Great Video, I have had foot drop for a little over 5 yrs from a knee dislocation. My doctor said I was a good canidate but have been pushing it off because I am not sure it will work. Your video changing my mind. I get by just fine with my TurboMed AFO but would be nice to walk with slipper around the house.

I’ve had foot drop for 50 years as a result of a severed paroneal nerve from a motorcycle accident so basically most of my life. You can learn to live with it and it stops you very little from doing the things you want to do.

@@ashleyunderwood4855 i had severe foot drop due to nerve injury and really this is very nasty condition.
I could not lift my foot even one mm,fully droped.
Then after 2 weeks i restored full motion but there is no power like before. I exercise daily with weights on that foot
but still is not like before.
I suppose you recovered fully but what about power,is everything like before ?

Thankyou for sharing 😊 I got in a motorcycle accident in 2021 and have drop foot to this day. Been a nightmare. Just saw the doctor yesterday who recommended a tendon transfer, he says that he doesn't think the nerve will come back because it's been so long. Definitely need some inspiration 😅

Do they still do this surgery if you have negative emg tests? I’m getting nerve testing done the 24th and worried after reading 1/3 of them are normal. I have numbness tingling and pins and needles on top of my foot and pain from fibular head weakness. No foot drop…yet. Do the tests usually show anything in these instances?
