GREAT video👍. I am so happy you stated that 12 to 18 months you will see good results as most people will think after 1 week and with no improvement then they stop working out their floppy foot.... I will definitely do this every day and I appreciate the way you show us how to do those exercises..🙏

Thank you for your positive feedback on our MSR practitioner demonstration video. It’s excellent to see your proactive approach to rehabilitation and your patience with the process. Results from such practices often take 12 to 18 months, as you've noted, which is a testament to the body's need for time to adapt and strengthen. While our video aims to guide MSR practitioners in training, we strongly advise individuals to consult with a qualified practitioner for personalized assessment and recommendations, particularly for persistent conditions. This ensures you're on the right track and adapting recommendations to your unique needs.

It’s clear you're facing a challenging health issue with the recurrence of autoimmune pancreatitis and its associated drop foot. Given the complexity of autoimmune conditions and their propensity to affect the body in multiple ways, it’s indeed vital to have a thorough evaluation by a healthcare provider.

I'm with you, I knew something was wrong with my foot years ago after dropping some heavy equipment on my foot, however my lumbar spine was severely herniated. L3, 7.5mm L4 8.3mm L5 9.5mm impingement. And it seemed I waited too late to try other non surgical alternatives. As I was turned down by many chiropractors and the university after trying to see if the DRX9000 could help. Recently did a 360 surgery Lumbar fusion, Anterior Instrumentation, Cage June 15. 23 now my foot drop seems more pronounced and I tend to get down about the situation and how I ignore the signs now I'm stuck with a remanufactured back and a foot I can't lift. I don't think there's any hope for me as I believe all of the muscles in my calf have completely been dissolved. The side of my shin used to bother me. I assumed it was just shooting hot pain from my sciatic nerve running from my back down my leg and to my foot however I'm sure that played a part in me getting foot drop. Idk I pray I can find a solution someday to regain that range of motion and control to pick up my foot again.

Hi Darryn: I cannot make comments on specific cases I have not examined. The recovery time for foot drop can vary depending on the underlying cause, the severity of the condition, and the individual's overall health and level of physical activity. In some cases, foot drop may resolve on its own within a few weeks or months, while in other cases, it may require more intensive treatment and take longer to resolve. I had a disc rupture in my 30's, it was several years before I got full feeling back in my foot. Cheers

Your question is very valid. It's important to note that the recovery duration from foot drop can considerably differ based on its underlying cause. While some instances may indeed require 12-18 months, this isn't a universal timeframe. The recovery timeline for foot drop can vary significantly based on several factors:
Cause of Foot Drop: Foot drop can be caused by various conditions, such as nerve injury, muscle or nerve disorders, or neurological conditions. The nature and extent of the underlying issue can significantly affect recovery time. For instance, temporary peroneal nerve compression may resolve fairly quickly once the pressure is relieved. In contrast, foot drop caused by stroke or significant nerve damage may take much longer and may not fully resolve.
The Condition's severity: The nerve or muscular damage also plays a significant role in recovery time. Mild cases of foot drop due to temporary nerve compression may recover within weeks to a few months. In contrast, severe damage can take several months or even years, and sometimes the condition may be permanent.
Treatment Approach: The treatment strategy used can also affect the recovery timeline. Physical therapy, including exercises to strengthen leg muscles and improve gait, can help speed up recovery. In some cases, assistive devices like braces or splints may be used. If the foot drop is caused by a treatable underlying condition, addressing that condition could potentially resolve the foot drop.
Patient Factors: Factors such as the patient's age, overall health, and the presence of other medical conditions can influence the speed of recovery. Younger and healthier patients tend to recover more quickly than older or less healthy individuals.
Consistency and Effort: The patient's compliance with the recommended therapeutic exercises and treatments is also crucial. Regular exercise under a healthcare professional's guidance can help maximize recovery.
Timing of the Intervention: Earlier diagnosis and treatment generally lead to better outcomes. Delayed treatment can result in a worse prognosis and longer recovery times.
Given these factors, consulting with a healthcare provider for a personalized prognosis and treatment plan is crucial. @@kinetichealthonline Thanks for responding, I appreciate it.
My situation is very unique. I was perfectly "normal" 6 months ago, with full mobility and in great shape and health. Then suddenly things started to go downhill. There was no injury, no trauma, no accident. My right foot dropped and is swollen during the day. It gives me neuropathic type pain. Toes on this foot are numb all of the time. Next, I lost my knee jerk reflex on my left leg. The knee on my left leg can no longer be trusted. It looks like something called "trick knee". I can no longer lift my left leg while on my back. I can not lift up with it, from sitting or squatting position.
I saw numerous doctors and specialist over these 6 months. Had X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, etc, 4 nerve conductivity studies, and over 100 types of blood work. So far no diagnosis. I am very frustrated...spending my days in a wheel chair. If I try to walk with a walker, within few short minutes I am ready to collapse.

Have you thought about using a little bike pedal exerciser available from mobility shops? It's just bike pedals in a frame but you use it while seated.

If one has a drop foot, like I do, there is no way he can point his toes up, even without applying resistance from the top.

I have foot drop ,i can lift my foot halfway, i got this from kneeling and sitting on leg on concrete floor, neurologist just gave me B complex and advice to rest,
Can i exercise or just to wait, due to my cause for foot drop, compression for kneeling for hours ,10 days in row?

    • @kinetichealthonline
      @kinetichealthonline  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

Hello @majstorvuksan, thank you for watching and for sharing your situation. I understand how concerning foot drop can be, and I appreciate your willingness to seek out exercises and treatments that might help.
Since your condition is related to compression from prolonged kneeling, it’s critical to follow the advice of your neurologist. Rest is often key in allowing the nerves to recover from compression. As for exercising, it's essential not to engage in activities that may worsen the condition or impede recovery. I’d recommend discussing specific exercises with your healthcare provider who can suggest movements that accommodate your current state and aid in your recovery process.
While B complex vitamins are beneficial for nerve health, your neurologist's guidance should be your primary path forward. If you have been advised to rest, it may be best to focus on that until you've been cleared to exercise by your healthcare professional.
Take care and I hope you find a path to recovery that suits your specific needs.
