    Thanks for the new exercises, it is always worth trying to fix the situation. I always tried to walk as much as I could, even though it was very irregular because I compensated a lot of movement. I slowly realized irregularities and corrected with the help of Tara's tips. It is a long and painstaking job, because the changes are small but the results confirm that it makes sense to follow the recommendations of an experienced PT, so thank you Tara again and a pleasant week.

    As usual, I found this video so very useful in providing useful exercises for my balance. I believe you can never do too many balance exercises whether it's because of a stroke or another issue or just age. Thank you Dr. Tobias for your time that you've devoted to us. Have a great week.

    I think you’re amazing. So impressed with the volume and quality of your work. So good for me. I had a stroke a couple of months ago. And I have developed a limp that the doctor and pt don’t think it’s from the stroke. Seems odd to me. Stroke workup in progress. Followup mri in a month or so. As a librarian I’m good at info but confess I wish I could have more about my specific case. your videos help me a ton!

    Hi Tara, I love watching your videos. I am a new subbie. My daughter was involved in a terrible car accident a month ago and is in rehab recovering however, it has left her paralyzed from the waist down, but she has lots of feelings in her thighs and legs, but has not started moving her legs yet They have not stood her up yet either they’ve just been working on trunk and arm strength. She’s had a T 12 injury to her spine and is considered an incomplete like I said she has almost normal feeling her quads but has not started moving her legs just yet is there anything you could (generally)recommend?

    Hello, how does one improve grip strength on a spastic arm with fingers hyperextended and/or just greatly deminished grip strength, ability to form a solid fist.
    Regaining;
    Strength, Dexterity, Coordination are paramount for I.
    Your videos are incredibly relevant to I, I appreciate the knowledge.
    I need to overcome the severe discomfort and actually perform these methods.
    Longterm untreated pain is physically limiting and throughly demoralizing. 13:53

    In my case excruciating pain comes with foot drop. It’s 24/7 pain in varying degrees. Lots of sleepless nights as much as 8 days awake without closing my eyes. It’s been so bad this last year I’ve been screaming. It’s scaring the dog and the neighbours knocked on the door to see if everything was ok. They thought I was being murdered. I got this just by turning over in bed, my disc came out completely, burst so the fluid leaked out therefore had to have it taken out. It had been pressing on my sciatic nerve causing the damage. When it initially happened, both legs stopped working completely. My legs look really thin like they had no bones or muscles. Really scary time. It’s been life changing. I had to leave my job and my husband too has been looking after me. It’s a living hell every day. I had surgery where I was eventually left with my right foot with drop foot. I’ve had this for 16 years but the last year it’s started irritating me on the bottom of my foot in a weird area where the only way to ease it is to weight bare and stand on it. The problem being is it lasts for days and I’m having to use crutches now to take some of the weight off my legs and knees because I’ve injured my knee. The knee won’t heel now because I’m having to stand and hold onto furniture as well as crutches. I’ve tried massaging it with creams, soaking in Epsom salts. Nothing works. Ives tried all the medications available over the years specifically for nerve pain and nothing touches it. For 15 years it’s been the usual burning, lightening bolt and pins and needles type pains. I oiled lays down with those pains even though they kept me awake also. But this new area it’s been irritating me the last years and having to stand, my legs, especially the one with drop foot is extremely swollen. I look like I have elephantiasis. If I can manage to get a couple of nights sleep the swelling goes right down to normal. But then I get this nerve sensation start again under my foot in a sensitive area it makes my foot clench up, as if someone is tickling it and it flinches. Then the whole thing starts again. No sleep, pain hallucinations.

    Hi Dr.Tobias. Is it beneficial for me to use an AFO if my dorsiflexors has returned and just having slight spasticity when walking outdoor or uneven surfaces? I am currently in my 4th month of recovery from stroke and trying my best to train myself to improve my walking patternsand hopefully transition to walking with no cane. Your videos are helpful. What if we have had mobility issues since birth? I have developed over age and both of my legs are weak and I can't stand on my toes and if I walk more they just free fall making sounds when it lands. It's there in my father as well. I think I got it as hereditary but my sister is very normal like other people. I also have shivers on my hands when I feel nervous and don't have proper balance. Please suggest what I am suffering from? I have been to several doctors but no one is able to pinpoint me to a conclusion. Please help.
