- Finally tried it out and its totally worth it! Soo many unused spots are working when owning a ladder. Must Try!
Quite surprised by how good the XLT managed the Ladder starts as you need quite some foreward momentum to stop it from stalling. I'll tune the Ladder to perfection and use it all the time from now on.

That was awesome how you caught a boat's wake. Right now I only have 650cm sq wing for windsurfing but when I get a larger wing I'm gonna try it but leave 4 cement slaps at the lake for ladder to be anchored to. Thanks for the video...das ist gut
Some cements slaps would be quite helpful for stability :D

Thanks Mate! Running Dock Start for sure! The only benefit of the ladder is that you can adjust the hight. Some Docks are very low and if you cant run on them it makes the standing start very difficult.
In Summary: The Dockstart is easier, unless your dock is low and doesn't allow you to run.

Hi Leo, I want to buy a ladder now. I have to choose between 4x4 and 4x5 stairs. What do you recommend? If I use it with the plattform, is the 4x4 high enough to dockstart with a 80 or 90 cm Mast?
Hey man,
I use it with a 85 cm Mast all the time and the 4x4 is high enough for it. I'm currently thinking about making it to more of a long podest instead of an elevated dock... I can really recommend the ladder, opens up a bunch of spots which are unusable without the ladder :)

Quite far in front (like 10-15 cm from the Back end) to be able to move the back foot further back :)

Hey, wie lang bist du denn schon dabei? Für mich ist der Umstieg von einem "laufenden start" auf einen stehenden echt schwer, hast du da Tipps? Schönes Video!
Vielen Dank :) Ungefähr 1,5 Jahre bin ich jetzt schon am Pump Foilen... Das geht vielen so! Ich habe hier leider kaum einen Steg an dem ich überhaupt einen laufenden Start machen könnte und bin deshalb ganz gut an den "Dead Start" gewöhnt. Geschwindigkeit & Hoch starten ist der Schlüssel würde ich behaupten :D Also so aggressiv wie möglich abspringen. Ein höherer Steg macht es auch leichter. Grüße
